You should teach this to the people in the factories lol
And people use soap to remove salmonella 🐉
As for tilapia. Just de-bone it lol

Hi kei saboru, thank you for sharing 😀 I'm only sharing how I clean my fish at home, especially for steaming fish. Those in the factories probably need to do it fast (my fish monger is the same) to meet certain SLAs, so it's understandable that their fish is not as clean as I would like it to be.
I'm not sure about using soap for salmonella. At home, we just make sure the food is well-cooked - that will kill most of the bacteria. Hope it helps 😀

Hi Chef, thanks so much for teaching us this important step, no wonder some fish taste so fishy despite using a lot of ginger.
Just want to ask how would you know if the fish isn’t salty anymore after rubbing and washing with salt?
    Thanks for your reply.👍👍👍

Hi Kuchinta Lover. That's a great question, thank you for asking. Through personal experience, if I wash thoroughly for 4 -5 time the fish usually will not be salty anymore. 😊

@Jenny777-7. No we don't wash food items with soap, plain water and salt is sufficient. Thank you for asking 😀

@@HomeCookingwithSomjit But can we wash fish with soap?

@Jenny777-7. No, don't wash fish with soap. Soap can be harmful, so it should not be used to wash food or eatable items.
