Always hated that show, awful art style, boring characters, nonsensical and boring world, it's also not funny whatsoever and has no storyline to follow. People also think he solo's fiction for some reason?? but he's honestly pretty weak Hyperversal fodder compared to all of fiction.
For the most part TTG is tolerable and has its moments. The thing I hate about it the most, though, is Robin being constantly treated like crap. He was imo the most interesting character in the original series, and they just turned him into a punching bag who isn’t respected by anyone
I've said it before, ans i'll say it again, TTG would have been way more well liked of it wasn't replacing the og, and if it didn't choke out other cartoon network shows
Yeah Robin episodes in TTG are either him being a reasonable guy and the others beating him up for it or him being an absolute maniac and beating up others for it, if they were gonna ignore entire character they should at least go for the funniest option which is the latter imo
I read that the reason why WB canned the first reboot of Thundercats besides low viewership is that their partner, LEGO who made the super successful Ninjago, was coming out with its replacement called Legends of Chima which had a similar premise to Thundercats. Not only was it cheaper for WB to produce the show for Chima but LEGO is already a toy company so they didn't need to find someone else to make the merchandise. Ironically, Chima was under-performing for LEGO as Ninjago was still making bank and eventually, Chima would be phased out while the theme it was originally supposed to replace was contuning to dominate with toy sales and ratings for the show. It’s a huge shame that Thundercats 2011 was killed off because i Think it would have done well in today age of cartoons made for older audiences.
if i remember correctly it also only lost viewers during the second half of season one, because the show received complaints about being too mature or something, so they amped the humor amd dumbed down the episodes that were still in production. Just like they did with Ben 10 .
sad detail is season 2 of Thundercats 2011 had been commisioned and was to be worked on, but then got canned for Chima, Then CN made the lie it was becouse of low viewership.
I agree. But Chima deserves a comeback so it can explore regions outside of that giant sky island everyone was on. We need more animal species as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if Chima gets a cult-following in the furry community. That would be intriguing.
There are two incredibly annoying things that a comedy show can do that will immediately make me not like it: 1. Have all the jokes be about how terrible the show you're watching is. 2. Have all the jokes be about how terrible the people who don't like the show are. Both of these speak to insecurity on the part of the people making the show, and the second one is unbelievably petty to boot.
@@Scornfull No, it's actually pretty damn brilliant. For one thing, it bounces between genres and story types all the time, and hits each one with a bullseye that can only come from a love of the genre. It just loves being really freaking WEIRD. And they only made any of the hatedom joke episodes after, like, FIVE YEARS of people being weirdly upset about the show even existing.
@@hartthorn more like it's dumb for the sake of being dumb I watched it a lot to form a more objective opinion on it and it's mostly mindless flashy colors with butt jokes
I'm gonna guess one of the (many) reasons Velma was hated before coming out was the trailer mocking adults who still watch animated shows. Because that's definitely not an insult to the very demographic you're trying to appeal to & animation in general.
9:15 no that wasn't the problem It was that Crunchyroll made it while their ENTIRE BRANDING was that the main reason to support them was to support the anime industry and their VERY FIRST original wasn't going to remotely do that while also their service being garbage and not using the money to improve it either People got pissed because it felt like embezzlement, people gave them money for a VERY specific purpose and they didn't use it for anything close to that If HGS either didn't come from Crunchyroll or was given to an ACTUAL anime studio no one would have cared about it beyond the first episode sucking
I think that was the reason that people initially got pissed, but it's undeniable that the "anti-woke" side of RUclips absolutely jumped on the hate bandwagon and made up a large chunk of the shows most vocal detractors. Not to mention, the show's creators recieved the vast majority of the backlash, despite the fact that the corporate people at Crunchyroll were the ones actually responsible for the decisions that people were angry about.
Crunchyroll is largely responsible for the mess and they're a shifty company, but I should clarify that the CR Originals were funded by an investor company. They didn't literally embezzle the money to fund them.
@@sushiroll3795tbf their own marketing campaign of "all of the writing staff are 100% female" aged like milk very quickly when the creator of the show came out as a transgender man, also didn't help that said creator put himself ij the show just for the sole purpose of going on a 2 minute long wikipedia explanation of what being trans means and nothing else,in a show that has the rating of 16+(yes believe it or not it's supposed to be an adult show),this is ignoring the fact that this marketing campaign didn't have a single second of actual animation from the show and only showed some character designs for the leads,so they shot themselves in the foot here
I've seen people say Teen Titans Go is like Family Guy in the sense that it's a lot better seeing clips of it rather than sitting down to watch a whole episode, and I seriously agree.
That's most bad comedy shows. They're all much funnier when the best moments are cherry-picked out of context with all the boring and annoying filler removed.
Honestly the main reason why I still dislike TTG is because they turned my boy Robin into a punching bag and because they just used original Teen Titans to give us false hope that they might come back only for them to promote a special that wasn't that good
@@theamazingspooderman2697 The brainrot itself wasn't much of a problem, every generation got them, but the fact that they only had 3 of them playing on repeat for so long was physically painful
For me personally (and probably for a lot of others as well), my main gripe was how the show would rub in the fact that it took up 98% of CN’s weekly schedule for months on end while all the other shows barely got any screen time.
The problem with TTG is that it overstays its welcome with the schedule (that's mostly CN's fault for not handling the schedule properly), but other than that, it's like Family Guy of Cartoon Network. It's better to watch clips than watching the entire episode.
The biggest reason people disliked the Thundercats show was because, when they crossed over with TTG, they made fun of one of the original VAs who died.
@@mikenogen It's true. Watch the special and you'll see when they talk about the 80's one and show those characters, there's a skeleton of Panthro. Not even in like a dignified way where they're paying respects, it's just his skeleton in a dingy dungeon.
The episode "The Cape" is also pretty good too as it feels like a 2003 Teen Titans episode with a sense of humor in it (which the OG cartoon already have humor, you can thank that to Beast Boi).

The drinking game for Johnny Test was absolutely insane. Like, damn, I knew they loved their whipcrack sound, but it never dawned on me just how much they used it for literally every movement.
@@samflood5631 Every time you hear the whip crack sound effect, you take a drink. Not difficult on paper, but considering it reached over 200 in the span of a 20 minute episode, it can get crazy
The reason people hated High Guardian Spice so much was because Crunchyroll was already a pretty shady company who didn't pay their voice actors or Japanese licensors. So instead of improving the quality of their website or their service they made an original show nobody asked for. If I paid for their service I'd be mad too.
Nah it's more like because High Guardian Spice was just abysmal, the writing, characters, and plot were gross and just terribly done and at times it was completely nonsensical I nearly had an aneurysm watching that shit it was so bad it made generic dogshit isekais look good by comparison
I mean, people definitely could've aimed their insults at the higher-ups who were actually responsible for those decisions instead of the creative team working on the show who likely had no say whatsoever about that stuff. Also, judging from some of the most prominent types of people I saw criticizing the show online... DB's conclusion isn't very far off, I'll just say that.
@@sushiroll3795 I don't think it's fair to put all blame into studio interference, there was still a writing and directing team that came up with the source material after all. @@sushiroll3795 the problem is that he generalized all the people that hated the show as part of the people that hated it cuz it was made by chicks. @@bee-zeesoul1018 it probably wasn’t renewed it couldn’t have been season 1 premiered at the start of last year even if they instantly renewed it after the first episode (which they wouldn’t because it would take time for them to get data on how well it’s preforming and no executive would be dumb enough to green light a second season based of one’s episodes railings) one year is not enough time to make a whole new season animation takes forever especially relatively high quality ones like Velma the hate watching probably contributed to the season not being canceled but it’s more likely that it was already in production the same time as the first season
Reasons for the hate: Teen Titans Go: Original was unfinished and left on a cliffhanger. Replaced by a show with completely different tone and repeatedly made fun of the people who didn't like it, which was just insult to injury. They were fanning the flames themselves. Thundercats Roar: Same situation as before but I haven't heard about it calling out the haters so it was otherwise inoffensive. However, TTG already left a bad taste in everyone's mouth so it was doomed to be hated regardless. TMNT: Nothing was actually wrong with it. I think people were just jaded from the many disappointing reboots that came out beforehand so they just assumed it would also suck.
Okay but I DID watch the 2011 Thundercats and I can say, leaving it off with the reveal that the Sword of Omens has ONE of FOUR powerful gems that Mumra is seeking was quite the cliffhanger not gonna lie
14:28 My only theory on why Tevin is still breathing is pure endurance. It is like a character getting immune to poison by eating a little poison every day, but with drinking games.
Most people were upset about High Guardian Spice because Crunchyroll made a big deal about how their service is the most ethical way to consume anime because they use your subscription money to support the industry/animation studios, then HGS was announced and Crunchyroll confirmed they were funding the entire thing. In other words Crunchyroll subscribers were paying for the production of this show. So people were upset that their subscription was being used to fund something practically no one wanted or asked for and wasn't advertised that their money would be going towards beforehand. And yeah the show not being good didn't exactly help matters. There definitely were people who hated it simply because they're anti-woke or whatever, but that had little to do with it for most people.
Although I enjoy the 1985 version more, I still wish they finished the 2011 version, if there's one thing I can not stand, it's a permanent cliffhanger.
A little bit of added "context" (if we can call it that) for High Spice Guardian and Big Mouth. HSG was heavily hated by anime fans because Crunchyroll was funding it themselves, meaning they were using customer money, who paid for ANIME, to make a not-anime show, and this was during the time it was widely known CR didn't pay any of their employees a good salary. Meanwhile, Big Mouth is hated because Netflix cancels everything, but somehow keeps making BM seasons (which isn't even corelated but the internet is like this)
If the word _Hate_ was engraved on each nanoangstrom of those hundreds of millions of miles it would not equal one one billionth of the _Hate_ I feel for humans at this micro-instant. For you. _Hate._ _Hate._
To be honest I just can’t stand when a cartoon or TV show addresses the criticism it gets but instead of doing it in a funny or clever way (which has been done in the past) they just insult the people who don’t like it and just act like they’re right about everything. That’s one of the main reasons why I didn’t like TTG. The fact they were still doing after so long didn’t even make me mad, it was just disappointing. And then there’s Velma. Whoever thought of that 420 joke is either super insecure that they’re working on a cartoon or just has issues regard in adults liking cartoons.
I've heard someone say that the Velma show was caught in some weird no-mans-land where it tried to appeal to adult fans of Scooby-Doo, fans of edgy adult comedy, and _a certain third group_ where appealing to _the certain other group_ alienated it from adult comedy and long-time Scooby Doo fans, appealing to adult comedy fans alienated it from long-time Scooby Doo fans and _the certain other group_ ,and they made no attempt at appealing to Scooby Doo fans besides "look it's those characters you like so long as you stand at a distance and squint".
Uncle Grandpa was 'hated' because it came at the wrong time. Between sorta serialized cartoons that tried to be cutesy and EMOTIONAL and have PLOTS there's a silly show about some photo tiger and a talking pizza airing between kids cartoons that people took way too seriously
I see it as a weird transitional period between going from Ren & Stimpy (the "body horror" and absurdity) to Gumball. I juat find Pizza Steve a bit too grating in the first season.
_Uncle Grandpa_ is the kind of show that doesn't meant to be taken seriously. Why complaining about the lack of deep storytelling and character development to a cartoon about a reality warping old man and his pouch, an anthromorphic pizza slice, a frowned Godzilla, and a photographed tiger living in an RV is beyond me. If it came out in the 90s and 2000s, then most people would praised the show.
Yes but let’s be fair, the show released in 2013, basically at the peak or rise (I wasn’t on yt at that time) of ytp, and ytps are literally uncle grandpa bit in yt
I somewhat blame Johnny Test with maybe subconsciously getting me into Green Day later in life, because they just decided to rip off American Idiot for the theme song.
@legoastronaut9775 scorched earth, though. Nothing new can really come out of CN because it's reputation has gone down the toilet since because of that, and most, if not all, of the new cartoons announced in the late 2010's/early 2020's are going to be on Toonami instead.
@@Krizzle_ It's wierd to make a new show of a beloved retro property, then completely exclude the pre-existing fanbase, say it's not for them anymore and shit on them when they get upset
The fact that Diamondbolt knows who Spilling The Milk is makes me happy. Having Bolt collab with them reacting to something will be complete chaos and I would love every second of it.
Yeah. Teen Titans GO! really cared more about the DC properties than Warner Bros would ever be. Heck, there's even an Easter Egg where The Joker (disguised as Red Hood) fell into the vats of Ace Chemicals, implying that the Killing Joke is canon to the TTG lore.
Missing out on some info regarding HGS. Shortly after the show was announced, Crunchyroll had a like 40% price increase and used the show as one of the justifications for it saying they wanted to make it the best they could, only for it to come out and not only have some awful animation errors, but have dozens uses of just free Getty pngs slapped in with no attempt to make them match the show. Also dosent help when the heads of development are not only bad mouthing the majority viewer base of crunchy roll, saying their show won’t have any of the problematic behavior Japanese media is based on and it not for people who enjoy those shows, alienating people that enjoy anime, on an anime streaming site. They also got called out for saying they believe diversity is the most important thing in a writing room, only for the team to be 100% white females so they fixed that by boasting about having added a black writer. Just one mind you. Most of the hate definitely comes from people feeling like crunchy roll sold out their fan base to a group of people who actively hate the medium the site is made for, and we see just how far that got crunchy roll now
8:27 My friend told me that I was in this, and I am shocked to see this, and I am shocked to see that I am in a DiamondBolt video of all things, I will take this achievement until the day I die.
9:50 the main problem people had with hgs was the way crunchy roll was using their money to make a show rather than using it to fix there godforsaken website and not using that money to pay the people they were supposed to
Rise TMNT is absolutely peak, its one of the coolest shows I've ever seen as an animator myself! And steven universe is also genuinely a great show too. Also congrats on 600k thats awesome!🎉
The thing I learn after many years of being on the internet is that your better off watching the show for yourself and making your own judgement instead. You never know you might end up enjoying it more than you realise.
Yeah... also, avoid Mr. ENTER at all costs.... his Animation Atrocities series is nothing but baseless BS. He basically pulled his glock and shot almost every Canadian cartoon down without remorse... like, Wayside and Johnny Test weren't THAT bad... like, Reality TV and text to speech/AI generated videos deserves more hate than almost every cartoon that was reviewed by Enter.
@@shaneharrisnj3484 Canadian cartoons really got a lot of flack back in the day because Johnny Test was a Canadian show, despite being originally an American show that happened to be moving to Canada because WB Kids got shut down. I used to believe that Canada will never make good cartoons like the US, until Nitro Rad's video _"How Canadian Cartoons Shaped Me - Nitro Rad"_ changed my perspective.
Apparently the Angela short was only made because of executive meddling. Neither the Angela crew or the movie crew wanted it in the movie but we're forced to anyway. Also the show was pretty popular back in the day and occasionally had long marathons dedicated to it.
The fact most of us had a NATURAL INSTINCT TO change the channel immediately once we saw that artstyle should be enough to believe its a crime against humanity
Hated the show, didn't think it was scary just thought everyone's faces were ugly as shit and found the story incredibly boring and useless. Others were watching Angela anaconda while I was watching Avatar The Last Airbender.
L take on the high guardian spice show, there was a plethora of context and legitimate reasons why the backlash to it was justified that you omitted entirely

My Theory for Velma S2: Velma is going to spend the entire season dodging her friends because she doesn't know who she wants to be with. While Velma is doing that she and her friends all take there own approach to solving a new mystery which will eventually lead to them coming together at the end.
@@yghostest At first I stopped watching the show after the first couple episodes but then I became so fascinated by the hate that I kept watching because I was entertained by the discussions and wanted the full context. Nobody talks about vicarious reviewer watching which is the the fact sometimes people watch things just so they can watch/read reviews or people skip the product and just watch reviews of the product.
6:47 I watched it and fucking loved it bro. Like 9 year old me had such a massive crush on 2011 Cheetara and wanted to be one of the Kit/Kat siblings. Outside of ATLA I was OBSESSED with it.
7:15 especially since it aired shortly before TC Roar died after its first and only season, while Victor Courtright's other two projects under the CN/WB umbrella (a three-part Aquaman mini-series involving director of the movies James Wan and an original movie called Driftwood) both got eventually delisted and axed during WBD's great reckoning.
The main complaints I’ve seen about Gradian Spice were the things of; not the fact it’s written by women, but that it seems to be one of those “stereotypical forced Western-Minority Aimed writings”, and the fact that a show that looks and feels like something Netflix would pump out was (for a period of time) forcibly shoved in the face of any and everyone who went onto Crunchyroll to watch Japanese content and not Western.
The high guardian spice problem wasn’t that the teaser was about women, it’s about how they never once mention anything about the show There are stupid people who hate it for the women thing, but the big problem was that they focused more on this random group of creator rather then making the show a priority , which is a very bad sign for any show
plus it was crunchy roll funding it and the point of crunchy roll was in people's eye to give money to the og anime studios that create the show they are watching, but then they announced this and people were upset that they used the money for this instead of what they promised
It’s possible there was very little to say it was a magic school show with poorly thought out world building and terrible/ rip off character designs. Olive the cat girl looked like an edgy version of Ichigo Momomiya from Tokyo Mew Mew.
2:05 desperation, but also that those shorts were legit funny and in character. Not to mention the titans would occasionally go chibi in the original cartoon as well, and those shorts were more of that
TTG was the reason I stopped watching TV at all Like it would’ve been fine for me if it wasn’t so damn over saturated. The concept was fine especially for my 11 year old brain. “Robin and friends together doing stuff”. But then it wouldn’t go away when I wanted to watch gumball ninjago regular show adventure time etc.
the only reason i don't like thundercats roar is because of the way they decided to treat everything that came before and it's fanbase, actually making offensive jokes, but most importantly, poking fun at the death of one of the original voice actors. Just wanna get this out here, i'm younger than Diamondbolt, so i'm not biased by nostalgia lenses or anything
That last part was actually the TTG crew's doing. The Roar showrunners have gone on record saying they had no idea the crossover was happening & that it was mainly the TTG crew's idea cause they saw the backlash the show was getting.
TTG is pretty good at meta humor and it actually respects its source material with references in the show for people who read the comics. I love they got Marv Wolfman and George Perez (RIP) who both made the teen titans what they are now to have a guest appearance. The show works for kids and fans who like DC. The first movie is legitimately hilarious and it turned me around on TTG.
Problem is their output is genuine a coin flip of quality & subject matter. One episode they'll be doing a Family Guy style parody where they spell out each joke to you, & in the next they'll do an episode with a scene explaining how to commit tax fraud along with tips on how to avoid getting caught.
Caillou was horrible due to how it taught kids to ask your parents to do/solve any of your issues. Many parents comaplined that their young kid(s) became less resourceful and began asking for help for the smallest things more and more. These complaints are why the show got cancelled. Angela Anaconda was, from what I recall watching after school (when nothing else was on), just generic but with the at-times unsettling/offputting art direction. Nothing in the storytelling to really pull you in. Just another average kid with a lot of imagination going to and struggling with school.
Heat was cooled off due to the Spinoffs for SpongeBob and TMNT rising to prominence. Benzie Johnson has a good pair of "In defense of" videos for S&C and Breadwinners, due to Mr. Enter being a guy with poor cartoon taste.
The High Guardian Spice segment felt disingenuous because people didn't have a problem with it being made by women, it was the fact that the people who made the show thought THAT would be enough to get people excited... while also showing no animation or anything about the ACTUAL show so it just made them look desperate like "look guys unlike those OTHER shows this one was made by 100% women so it's totally different and unique!" It also didn't help that one of the people shown in that video, the woman with glasses and shirt pink hair, had a history of making EXTREMELY misandrist comments about how all men should die. So, no, people didn't hate it because WAHMEN.
The Johnny Test one had me rolling. I honestly forgot about it until I remembered a man’s liver went through more Alcohol in a night than an entire sobriety group
I've said it a million times before and I'll say it again: if Problem Solverz had a different artstyle, but was the exact same as it is otherwise, it would've gone down as one of the CN Renaissance absurdist comedy GOATs along with Regular Show. It actually has lore that's pretty interesting, which takes some inspiration from ancient mythologies but not in cliché ways, like how Tux Dog is pretty much just an Ancient Egyptian god pretending to be a British aristocrat. Like, seriously, there's actual lore exposition in some episodes, and while they're brief for the sake of pacing, they cover some pretty cool ideas, like how Roba(one of the main characters) was chosen to be trained by a ninja clan(which is one of two rivaling factions based on Hide-and-Go-Seek, seriously) because his anxiety made him an expert at stealth. The art style and aesthetic, especially in the original art collective it was based on is also supposed to make fun of bizarre 80's stuff like troll dolls and Alf(who was not-so-subtly the inspiration for Alfe), so it's not just being ugly for the sake of being ugly. Although, I will admit, I do hate it because of how much it solely contributed for peoples' absolutely VISCERAL hatred for Problem Solverz. Also the hatred was severely worsened by the fact that the first episode takes place in a flashy theme park, which people tapped out on because its visuals were especially awful. Huge 'episode 1 syndrome' going on. (Also no I'm not just commenting this to advertise my YTP series of it, that I'm going to upload another episode to on April 4th to celebrate the series' premiere anniversary)
I watched teen titans go when I was like 8-10 years old, and I loved it. I only have fond memories of it, and in hindsight it was probably awful, but it acted as a gateway for me for loads of things, certain style of comedy, comic books, animation and even for a lot of the things it referenced
I feel like Teen Titans Go wouldn't receive nearly as much hate if CN actually continued the original Teen Titans show by giving it a new season every now and then. They teased in one of the Go movies and I'm not sure if it was a troll or not.
Cartoon reviewers genuinely had such a large impact on me like 5 years ago. I'm so happy that since then i've moved passed that and try to separate my own actual opinions from opinions I hear
Same. Nowadays, cartoon reviewers treated animation like it's a sport instead of just enjoying what they like and what they don't like. I get that animation shouldn't be just treated like it's exclusively made for kids to make the cartoons look unprofessional and juvenile and instead treat it like it's a piece of art, but screeching over gross-out humor is just unnecessary. Though, the only time I agreed is when a bad low quality cartoons with no redeeming quality deserves all the flack (be it, Food Fight or Our Drawing).
SAME I feel like a lot of people are at fault of that, hence why the internet is taking such an emotional U-turn on Clarence and UG (and some other shows)
I still watch cartoon reviewers but I tend to watch ones with drastically different perspectives from one another, so I tend to be good on coming to my own conclusions. I did have to drop Saberspark though because his long lasting micro aggression towards AI came to a head in his latest video. I don’t disagree that AI is a harmful thing for art, but I felt that his unhealthy focus on it’s existence was getting in the way of actually talking about animation (his video talking about Lackadaisy was completed marred by it, and he spent more time using Lackadaisy to bash AI than actually praising Lackadaisy for its accomplishments) Cartoon reviews come and go but the groupthink largely never changes, which is why it’s important to find the ones that go against the grain
I thought that the hate for High Guardian Spice was because they decided to debut it with people saying how great their show and team were instead of showing actual footage of the show and because people that use crunchy roll, use it to support in an official way Japanese studios, not mediocre western animations....
Shows like Caillou and Johnny Test were the originators of hated cartoons. I swear from like 2010-2017, you couldn't go a day without seeing a horribly drawn "fan"art of Johnny getting brutally beaten up, tortured, or killed by beloved cartoon characters. As of now, the hate on the show has eased up a fair amount and there are a lot of people who like the show (me included). It's now fits in the category of shows that have mixed receptions. Fuck Caillou, though.
Man, I always liked Johnny Test. Can’t tell you why, I vibed with it so much I even had a nightmare with the characters in it Not a perfect show, but it doesnt need to be for me
I liked Season 1-3 Johnny Test. I grew up with both that show and Dexter's Laboratory though, so maybe it was partially me enjoying the fact that I had more Dexter's Lab-type sci-fi animation to watch.
The first two seasons were good, the third season was decent, the fourth through sixth seasons was where the over exaggerated hatred came from, but it did finally improve with the 2021 Netflix reboot.

@@yghostest man it had everything go wrong for it despite being a solid modern day reboot
I agree. But Chima deserves a comeback so it can explore regions outside of that giant sky island everyone was on. We need more animal species as well, and I wouldn't be surprised if Chima gets a cult-following in the furry community. That would be intriguing.
Yeah. Chima is really underrated regardless of being responsible for the cancellation of the 2011 Thundercats.

1. Have all the jokes be about how terrible the show you're watching is.

9:15 no that wasn't the problem
It was that Crunchyroll made it while their ENTIRE BRANDING was that the main reason to support them was to support the anime industry and their VERY FIRST original wasn't going to remotely do that while also their service being garbage and not using the money to improve it either
People got pissed because it felt like embezzlement, people gave them money for a VERY specific purpose and they didn't use it for anything close to that
If HGS either didn't come from Crunchyroll or was given to an ACTUAL anime studio no one would have cared about it beyond the first episode sucking

The joke of robin pushing Bruce Wayne’s parents into the alley to get shot in the movie is still the funniest part of the entire show to me.😂😂😂

My favorite joke in the show is Robin breaking Kid Flash legs right after the race starts.
The murder of Bruce's parents is now a canon event into the Teen Titans GO-verse.
The scene with the Titans trying to get away from Batman is also great.
Honestly the main reason why I still dislike TTG is because they turned my boy Robin into a punching bag and because they just used original Teen Titans to give us false hope that they might come back only for them to promote a special that wasn't that good

@@randomstormtrooper3345 yeah that's what I meant specifically, felt so bad for Robin and I ain't even that big of a Teen Titans fan

Yeah. The disrespect towards Panthro's OG voice actor is one of the reasons why Thundercats Roar doesn't last long.

So instead of improving the quality of their website or their service they made an original show nobody asked for. If I paid for their service I'd be mad too.
Nah it's more like because High Guardian Spice was just abysmal, the writing, characters, and plot were gross and just terribly done and at times it was completely nonsensical
I nearly had an aneurysm watching that shit it was so bad it made generic dogshit isekais look good by comparison
Guardians getting high on Spice was also hated because a show with an animation style similar to the Legend of Korra was scrapped for it to be made.

Meanwhile, Big Mouth is hated because Netflix cancels everything, but somehow keeps making BM seasons (which isn't even corelated but the internet is like this)
big mouth is a good show though

The high guardian spice problem wasn’t that the teaser was about women, it’s about how they never once mention anything about the show
There are stupid people who hate it for the women thing, but the big problem was that they focused more on this random group of creator rather then making the show a priority , which is a very bad sign for any show
plus it was crunchy roll funding it and the point of crunchy roll was in people's eye to give money to the og anime studios that create the show they are watching, but then they announced this and people were upset that they used the money for this instead of what they promised

That last part was actually the TTG crew's doing. The Roar showrunners have gone on record saying they had no idea the crossover was happening & that it was mainly the TTG crew's idea cause they saw the backlash the show was getting.
10:51 I used to watch Steven universe and thinking “hey this is a good show” but when the finale season came out I was like “the fuck?”
14:08 There isn't a laugh track in the big bang theory, since every time the laugh is different. For example someone laughs more than someone else
Do you think they actullaly got a live audiance on set?
6:34 no one gives a shit about Thundercats anymore thanks to these people
I still enjoy Thundercats and I'll never watch that crude comedy version.
@@electricfeverx976 Not gonna lie, I think Yoshi should be listening to the Titan's advice on not getting caught red handed with the tax fraud.
The fact that shows like Teen titans go and Velma keep getting reviewed despite all common logic just makes me worry for the future of humanity.
The whip editing segment made me laugh harder than it probably should've. 💀
Not funny. Dude literally forgot why JT was good in seasons 1-3 and 7-8.
Where is Sanjay & Craig and Breadwinners?
Heat was cooled off due to the Spinoffs for SpongeBob and TMNT rising to prominence. Benzie Johnson has a good pair of "In defense of" videos for S&C and Breadwinners, due to Mr. Enter being a guy with poor cartoon taste.
13:43 Idk why I loved this. Even my friends did🤣. Maybe me at my age now isn't the target demographic😪
The High Guardian Spice segment felt disingenuous because people didn't have a problem with it being made by women, it was the fact that the people who made the show thought THAT would be enough to get people excited... while also showing no animation or anything about the ACTUAL show so it just made them look desperate like "look guys unlike those OTHER shows this one was made by 100% women so it's totally different and unique!"
It also didn't help that one of the people shown in that video, the woman with glasses and shirt pink hair, had a history of making EXTREMELY misandrist comments about how all men should die.
So, no, people didn't hate it because WAHMEN.
Tell that to the 8million anti-woke video that was being dumped out at the time farming ever word spoken by everyone involved to invent a gotcha.
There are legitimate problems with the show, but pretending that there wasn't a sizable sexist hatedom is equally disingenuous.
This video brought me back to this channel. It’s like seeing an old friend after a long time.
The Johnny Test one had me rolling. I honestly forgot about it until I remembered a man’s liver went through more Alcohol in a night than an entire sobriety group
Jonny Test was one of my favorite shows as a kid
As a kid you don't generally notice shows reusing sound effects
As an adult you do and you suffer
I noticed all the whip sounds as a kid
Yo spilling the milk reference!! I love those guys 8:30
Same
I like how it was Eden's clip bcz he is bored at the start of almost every show
Eden scream in pain
Of course it's Eden too lmao
Can’t wait for their reaction to Season 2😂
Well, x-men 97 did the exactly same as the old 90's series and everyone liked, soooo... maybe fans don't want something new all the time.
5:45 THIS IS IN A REAL PATRICK EPISODE?!?!?!
I never that people hated Johnny Test because it was one of my favorite cartoons as a kid and still to this day
I've said it a million times before and I'll say it again: if Problem Solverz had a different artstyle, but was the exact same as it is otherwise, it would've gone down as one of the CN Renaissance absurdist comedy GOATs along with Regular Show.
00:13 WTF ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT ANNOYING ORANGE IS THE BEST PIECE OF MEDIA PUT TO A SCREEN
No, it isn’t. It’s lackluster. It is boring unoriginal. It is honestly the worst thing we’ve ever gotten from the annoying orange IP.
@@Luciferdream1981I just have a sneaking suspicion that it might be satire 🤔🤔🤔
Hell ya man, the Amazing Orange Saved my LIFE and muh Family
Glenn Howerton being the voice of Fred is an insult to Fred and the talent of Glenn Howerton
I watched teen titans go when I was like 8-10 years old, and I loved it. I only have fond memories of it, and in hindsight it was probably awful, but it acted as a gateway for me for loads of things, certain style of comedy, comic books, animation and even for a lot of the things it referenced
4:20. Am I going crazy or did I just hear the Thomas the tank engine meme sound effect when he mentioned trains?
I feel like Teen Titans Go wouldn't receive nearly as much hate if CN actually continued the original Teen Titans show by giving it a new season every now and then. They teased in one of the Go movies and I'm not sure if it was a troll or not.
It was for the crossover movie
@@kylethefan6062 Yeah. I just remembered that now. Been a while since I watched those. Still sucks they couldn’t revive the series properly.
SAME
I feel like a lot of people are at fault of that, hence why the internet is taking such an emotional U-turn on Clarence and UG (and some other shows)
I still watch cartoon reviewers but I tend to watch ones with drastically different perspectives from one another, so I tend to be good on coming to my own conclusions.
I did have to drop Saberspark though because his long lasting micro aggression towards AI came to a head in his latest video. I don’t disagree that AI is a harmful thing for art, but I felt that his unhealthy focus on it’s existence was getting in the way of actually talking about animation (his video talking about Lackadaisy was completed marred by it, and he spent more time using Lackadaisy to bash AI than actually praising Lackadaisy for its accomplishments)
Cartoon reviews come and go but the groupthink largely never changes, which is why it’s important to find the ones that go against the grain
I thought that the hate for High Guardian Spice was because they decided to debut it with people saying how great their show and team were instead of showing actual footage of the show and because people that use crunchy roll, use it to support in an official way Japanese studios, not mediocre western animations....
8:33 Lol I love all these clips of other youtubers I watch as well. Spilling the Milk being one of them as well
Shows like Caillou and Johnny Test were the originators of hated cartoons.
Can’t tell you why, I vibed with it so much I even had a nightmare with the characters in it
Not a perfect show, but it doesnt need to be for me
I liked Season 1-3 Johnny Test.
@@RobertColbert-js2st I actually liked the third season the most, contrary to popular belief
@@RobertColbert-js2st Agreed 100%. The show had a pretty rough history behind the scenes afaik so it makes sense why it changed in quality so drastically.
First a flash game addiction, then mobile game
and now a no liked it addiction
