I was not aware Netflix was making a Wings of Fire animated series but finding out about it still pains me.
The reason Nintendo backed out of the Zelda show after the leak is apparently because they felt Netflix couldn't be trusted with handling the series seeing how they let info about it slip so soon. At least from what I've heard.

Man I also hope we are proven wrong about the bones series. It hurt to hear bones was getting a show....only to realize the article said it was canceled. Loved that series growing up.

That Wings of Fire series being canceled hurts my soul, I grew up reading the books and the 15th in the main series came out earlier this year. It’s sad cause the community had such high hopes for it.

Why do you hate it
I remember hearing the news of an adaption about it a year or two ago and getting so excited, but then never hearing any news about it since. It wasn't until last month that I heard it was canceled and got so sad. Even if I was worried about Netflix ruining it, I was still excited to at least see concept art, story boards, or early footage of the animation.
When he said TF2 cartoon, I thought it would be the planned adult swim SFM shorts series that was (no joke) canceled because valve kept submitting storyboards that were too long.

I just recently read the wings of fire series and I was so stoked to find out there was gonna be a series adaptation. Quickly followed by crippling depression realizing Netflix was in charge of it and had already canceled it. :/

The cancellation of the Bone adaptation is what introduced me to the book series haha. I haven't actually read it myself, but I've heard a bit about it, and yeah now I'm on the bandwagon for wanting an animation adaptation (on the condition it is 2D animated, as always)! How have all the projects fallen through?
I liked seeing some of the differences in the American Sailor Moon remake, like Sailor Mercury being in a wheelchair and on a hoverchair when transformed.

I feel like the Bone series might be revived PURELY because Netflix knows they're suffering a PR nightmare as of now for numerous reasons (i.e. platforming bigots, laying off employees, raising subscription prices, cancelling numerous projects before giving them a chance, using draconian measures to combat password sharing etc.)

From what I’ve heard, the Micronauts show announced in 2019 was actually completed, but for some reason, it was never released. The composer for it (who also worked on Castlevania) pointed this out, but that part of his interview was deleted. Hmm…

The Crash Bandicoot cartoon was confirmed to be a real show in development by the cartoonist that was helming the project, Bill Kopp. It was one of a number of canned projects that prompted him to give up on studios, and now he's independently creating an original series called The Dumb Bunny and Jackass Show. You can also tell he voices Cortex in that test animation (a hallmark of his shows is that he always voices a character, usually the main one).
Based on the leaked bible, the quality of the test animation, and Kopp's track record, it sounds like it would've been a really fun show with old-school Saturday morning energy, and as a late bloomer Crash fan, I'm super disappointed it got the axe.

Hey Bolt, if you do end up making a lost media video, I recommend bringing up London After Midnight, one of the most sought-after lost films of all time. It was from 1927 starring legendary silent film star Lon Chaney. The last known copy of the film was destroyed in an MGM vault fire around 1965-1967, and the only thing that survived are a lot of production stills. Just a suggestion though. Stay well, Bolt!
Escape from Team Fortress 2 reminds me of how supposedly Valve was working on a TF2 TV series with Adult Swim and the short Expiration Date was the pilot for it.
Dude I’m not even joking when I say I started just yelling “NO!!!!!!!” when I heard about Bone being canceled, I had no idea they were trying to make a TV/Movie adaptation of it, and I loved those novels so much as a kid, and had totally forgotten about them until this video
There was a show called Super Robot Monkey Team Hyper Force Go! back in like 2011 and it got cancelled RIGHT before what would have been its last season and it still pains me to this day...
There was another game tie in that would've made it: Kingdom Hearts the Animated Series.
It was canceled do to having a dark tone that Disney wasn't fond of.

The Characters live in an Quantum like world. The comic series was so popular that it outlasted said toyline. Also, They crossover with the X-men.

Compared to the majority of 2D animated shows these days, that crash bandicoot show had some really good animation, lots of expression and movement. Looks like lots of time, money, and care went into making it, it’s kinda sad it didn’t get to release.

If anything it likely would have been another Family Guy clone.

@@Yobisewk206 His time spent at Hanna-Barbera must not have made an impression if he was unable to differentiate Fred Flinstone and Peter Griffin. There's no other way the show could have gone if Seth's mind was on Family Guy when trying to adapt the Flinstones, except another Family Guy clone. Compounded by the fact every animated series Seth was at the helm on ended up being derivative of Family Guy.
There was also plans to make a tf2 show by Valve set to release in adult swim, the only thing we have from it is a tf2 commercial in adult swim and the short in Valve’s channel “Expiration Date”
