I made a mistake (i think) by going into amazon kdp and their was a share your info and a number so they called me kdp amazon and they tried to sell me on publishing on amazon he was saying well now youll have a isbn, a PM thatll help thru the process, etcetc, its a few things they mentioned. Im like but i keep seeing we can do it free lol hes like well u wont get the isbn, u wont get a PM and designer thru it , and the author pay out cost is diff, that the publishing & distribution is diff, legal requirments, copyrights, etcet ... im Like ughmmmmm idk bout that 😐 ... any thoughts anyone???

Not sure if this will help others, but my canva side menu did not have a background option. I had to manually add it from the 'apps' side menu option. Also, Latoya states to download the PDF version but she downloads the PNG versions in the tutorial so try both if the first option doesnt successfully upload to KDP. I have great ideas for journals and childrens coloring books, but after trying for 5 days in a row, from 9 am to 9 pm ... I've realised that I must be the dumbest person in the world when it comes to creating these books, which I'm so motivated to do. However, at my age, in my mid 60's, I am so frustrated I eventually just gave up trying now! 😢

Info that may help someone: if the file that downloads from KDP isn't in the right format, and it's in a .zip format, you can right click to extract the files and you should be able to upload one of the files it extracts. For me, I was able to then upload the PNG file into Canva. If this doesn't work, you may need winzip or a zip file extractor on your computer and there are free ones available.

Thanks! If you're using Canva and want to duplicate a page you can click on the plus sign right above the page you want to duplicate. If you want to add a new page you can click on the "add page" button above the template/page you are using.
