@@whunter369 I have gotten a few, but Amazon has my account on hold since July 5th and they haven’t done anything to fix the issue. I am not able to sign in to see my account to give you a clear amount of sales at this time. I do not expect miracles on high volume sales this early in. All my journal covers are original and from my personal photo collection.

Money is not meant to control people rather it is meant to be put to work producing more money for you. You cannot build wealth without putting money in its rightful place.

@@ratnarahim7256 once you've completed your journal the kdp will ask if you want to publish or you can get a proof. Don't hit publish because once you have the proof , you can still make changes to your journal.once you're happy with it then click publish .I hope this help.

@@ratnarahim7256you can either request for an author copy which you pay for, or you can get a free proof instead.If you choose the free proof, they will not publish your book until after you get your proof.The proof you can’t sell and it’ll say that on there, but the author copy you can sell and it’ll look just like what a customer would order.The proof is basically to make sure that the quality is good and everything is correct

Hi Sean, I wanted to give whoever is reading this a heads up. I’ve been publishing KDP books on Amazon and have had some success. I recently found my books, as well as other books, being sold on TikTok Shops with the price marked up higher. I’m pretty sure what they are doing is buying the books on Amazon, which is cheaper, and then reselling them on TikTok shops at a higher price. Because of this, I will no longer be selling any books on Amazon and have unpublished my books, which broke my heart. I think you should do a video about this and let other authors know what’s going on with TikTok shops. This is a major problem and I don’t think a lot of authors are aware. Thank you.
So someone was buying your books? That’s good. Why do you care if they are reselling them. If you were fine selling at that price to begin with, then think of it as a distributor buying from you and increasing your reach. Unless you have another point on this that is not clear. Another way to think of it - would you rather sell 10 books at the price you asked with no Tik Tok resales, or 30 books with Tik Tok resales? I’d take the latter.
@@terryrl I don’t know if your a troll or if you yourself are stealing people’s ideas or books and selling them as your own and profiting from them but let me tell you one thing, I make very little to nothing on the books I sale. I was trying to build a brand so I can eventually sell more copies and in turn finally make a decent profit. When someone steals from you and just copies and paste your words and makes a bigger profit off of what you created off, that is not acceptable!!! Please do not respond back because I will ignore you!!!!
If people are willing to pay the mark up price of the books resold on TikTok, maybe up your prices to match them? This would deter the thieves and you can carry on selling.
Hello I just discovered your video and I wanted to explain my problem to you. I created a 50-page e-book with Canva, which took a lot of time and effort to get a neat layout. However, when it came time to publish to Amazon KDP, I discovered that PDF was not supported. I tried to convert my file to MOBI and EPUB, but the result absolutely does not respect the layout I had designed, which is really frustrating. I have been considering selling a cookbook on Amazon for ages, but didn't really think of selling anything like journals or colouring books (something I love doing, so why not make them!), plus I haven't worked in a while due to medical reasons, this could be the perfect way for me to earn an income. I'm confused about deleting the template before we download the final artwork. When you say delete the template, what are we clicking on to delete the template?
Position on the top will show you all the layers he is referring to the instructions he added on the 1st layer. You can delete previous layers by going to position at the top of the page.

Why do we create our journal under this category "Literarure & Fiction > Humor & Satire > Satire" while all journals in Amazon can be categorised under "Office Products › Office Paper Products › Notebooks, Writing Pads & Diaries › Notepads & Memo Books"? There is no such office product option in KDP.

So I am sure that you have covered this before. What is the truth about using Canva for KDP I am in a group where the host says out right that you cannot use any Canva elements and upload to KDP. I get so many different people saying different things I am stuck
@@mommyscribbles so why is that hard? if you use shapes and things right. I was about to pull all of my books because I used Canva elements. so if on my journal pages I add little images on the corners of each page that is ok or do i have to use the 3 elements together to make a 4th (new)element.

Most of my sales of came from gag gifts and they do so well during the Q4 period. I never tried with journals but I just publish 2 so let’s see how that goes 😅

Hi there. I'm not seeing what you are showing at 11:02 (moving the margins) when I'm looking at my canva screen. It's just showing a blank page with no ruler at the top or sides. What am I missing?
To turn on the ruler in Canva, follow these steps: 1. Open Canva: Go to Canva and open the design you are working on. 2. Access the File Menu: On the top-left corner of the Canva interface, click on the “File” menu. 3. Show Rulers and Guides: In the dropdown menu, find and click on the option that says “Show rulers and guides.”
@@VirginiaTaylor-kf2jv perhaps you don't know what Amazon KDP is. It is Kindle Digital Publishing. You follow Amazon's rules, upload your book and Amazon does the rest. It is print on demand. Amazon prints the book after it is ordered and ships it directly to the customer.

hi, I just saw your comment and I asked myself the same question, you can order a print proof and up to 5 copies, however they are not for resale and will have a watermark as such. There are shipping costs according to the number of books you order, but they are different from the book price.
This video has fantastic step by step details, thank you. I will say it's a little too fast paced though, I had to keep going back a few seconds, pause, and listen again, etc. And some of the things you have set up already (like the ruler showing), is something not everyone has set up, so I had to pause the video and google how to get it to show. When I went to go back each time in spots that were too fast, it showed a pop up that said something to the effect of a lot of people rewatch this part, so it may be something to take a look at. If it wasn't so detailed, the pace would have made me click off and find another video, but I stuck with it because you do have every step included. Just wanted to share some feedback :)

Hello People! So... I'm assuming KDP automatically creates the pages Back and front? so even though you copied and pasted for 120 your book actually has 60 back and front? please Forgive my ignorance and thank you for your time.

I will be honest I never thought of making a journal, I have a KDP account, but only ever thought it was only for books only. Well I have some Journal name Ideas, I been floating around. will see how it does.

This was really good man but the only thing i got confused about was at end you mentioned how to market and sell the journals or books which im def gonna watch and appreciate however at the beginning of the vid u showed us your earning and mentioned u made it without marketing or advertising at all "just sitting there making money peer passively" at 0:33 seconds or so.

canva custom numbers are 12.520 x 9.250 not 9.520 this slight mistake cost me a lot of time but even though thank you so much for this video

So I am sure that you have covered this before. What is the truth about using Canva for KDP I am in a group where the host says out right that you cannot use any Canva elements and upload to KDP. I get so many different people saying different things I am stuck
You have to have a minimum of 3 canva elements per page in order to use them for kdp
@@mommyscribbles so why is that hard? if you use shapes and things right. I was about to pull all of my books because I used Canva elements. so if on my journal pages I add little images on the corners of each page that is ok or do i have to use the 3 elements together to make a 4th (new)element.

Most of my sales of came from gag gifts and they do so well during the Q4 period. I never tried with journals but I just publish 2 so let’s see how that goes 😅

Hi there. I'm not seeing what you are showing at 11:02 (moving the margins) when I'm looking at my canva screen. It's just showing a blank page with no ruler at the top or sides. What am I missing?
To turn on the ruler in Canva, follow these steps:
1. Open Canva: Go to Canva and open the design you are working on.
2. Access the File Menu: On the top-left corner of the Canva interface, click on the “File” menu.
3. Show Rulers and Guides: In the dropdown menu, find and click on the option that says “Show rulers and guides.”

@@VirginiaTaylor-kf2jv perhaps you don't know what Amazon KDP is. It is Kindle Digital Publishing. You follow Amazon's rules, upload your book and Amazon does the rest. It is print on demand. Amazon prints the book after it is ordered and ships it directly to the customer.

hi, I just saw your comment and I asked myself the same question, you can order a print proof and up to 5 copies, however they are not for resale and will have a watermark as such. There are shipping costs according to the number of books you order, but they are different from the book price.

This video has fantastic step by step details, thank you. I will say it's a little too fast paced though, I had to keep going back a few seconds, pause, and listen again, etc. And some of the things you have set up already (like the ruler showing), is something not everyone has set up, so I had to pause the video and google how to get it to show. When I went to go back each time in spots that were too fast, it showed a pop up that said something to the effect of a lot of people rewatch this part, so it may be something to take a look at. If it wasn't so detailed, the pace would have made me click off and find another video, but I stuck with it because you do have every step included. Just wanted to share some feedback :)

Hello People! So... I'm assuming KDP automatically creates the pages Back and front? so even though you copied and pasted for 120 your book actually has 60 back and front? please Forgive my ignorance and thank you for your time.

I thought with 120 pages there would only be elements on 60 pages give or take but I see you put the same image on all pages. Please advise. Thanks
