Nice catch. In Avocado heights at the wash, I've seen a migration of fish close to the wall going down river. I forgot what time of year it was. But I'm guessing it was a bunch of carp now that I've seen your video. Nice job man.
I'm asking this as a novice fisherman: I assume the carp is in deeper water than what you were standing in. If you are wearing those boots, you've got a net, and you've got a fish on, why reel in the fish through shallow water instead of walking towards it?
@@JCosio-bs9xr Oh my bad I thought u were saying like why he stands there when he first casts, cuz he prob does that to not spook them, but yeah idk why he wouldn't walk closer as he reels, maybe he just wants to bring him in the shallow water?
@@John-ox4ko theres a few reasons, one being to tire the fish out, carp are strong fighters and can break your line if you give them enough room or if they have enough energy left, i know because its happened to me. Another reason being reeling the fish in and fightin it is a good part of the fun. Lastly its safer to avoid falling off a drop off or just slipping in general from walking the river when it wasnt really necessary.
@@ahndeux tell me this tho why does it gotta be "Mexicans" why cant it be just people in general my feelings are far from hurt btw just thought it was funny you point out a certain race its like saying hell them Asians eat anything i mean its wrong but not like you give 2 fucks lmao

It is so he does not scare the carp, carp get spooked pretty easily
@@John-ox4ko If they're already hooked and you're pulling on them, aren't they already spooked?

Because he has a stationary camera setup, so he brings the catch to the camera.
Where is that at bro
LA River off the 5Fwy near fletcher
The Reel Antkee that’s my spot!!!! Love that place? Usually fish from the bank. Will have to get some waders and try from this angle!
Please tell me you didnt actually eat that! I mean that is a better part of the river but still I cant imagine the crud that fish has ingested!
I searched up if the river is clean and alot of information says it's cleaner then what people actually think but I still wouldn't dare eat that
I give it to the Mexicans that fish around there. They will eat anything. For crying out loud, they eat Tilapia.
@@ahndeux racist
@@Noah.G6 Its racist to say they eat anything? They actually fish in LA Sewer for tilapia and carp. Facts don't care about your racist feelings.
