    Hello again and thank you for this latest tutorial. I just wanted to repeat the question I asked you after last week's 'day into night' themed tutorial. Is it possible to do this in reverse and turn night into day? If so, please would you show us. Thank you again.

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  4 года назад

      Yes, its possible. Its not something I have played with much though, because Day to night is common on movies and TV because its easy to shoot during the day but harder to shoot at night without the noise. If I shoot a photo at night with a long exposure, I can make it look like day time in camera. Whereas the opposite doesn't really work. Let me think about it though David.

    Colin, I was on with adobe. they checked as well on the new version of raw that came out yesterday and it does not work the same at all. The adobe girl tried following on her end.
    I did it fine as you showed yesterday during the wacom video using brushes etc. but it did not work this way in the new version of raw. Although with that said, I may try the written instructions. Thank you so much. You are the best.!!!!!!

    Hi Colin this was like magic seeing how this sort of shot can be transformed. I didn't want it to end. I have asked a question in the comments under the getting rid of the halo or black outlines, that I would appreciate you answering for me.

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  4 года назад +1

      You can do that with the adjustment brush in Camera Raw. Remember when I painted the light on the sidewalk and removed it from the distance? Exactly the same way

  • @joeysnburg4254
    @joeysnburg4254 4 года назад +2

    You need to add the Bat light to the pic!

    Can you 'add the lightbulb' in Camera Raw if you want to?

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  4 года назад +1

      yes, just use the adjustment brush and make it really bright. The only limitation is Camera Raw doesn't support blending modes.

  • @michaeljohnson9717
    @michaeljohnson9717 4 года назад

    Fascinating and a really useful tutorial. I use Camera Raw all the time but never thought of working like that. But, even though you have created it as a smart object is it non destructive? Can it be saved and the original restored to its original state? I usually work in Camera Raw then open it into Photoshop as a copy as I may use the original several times.

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  4 года назад

      Yes, its completely non destructive.

  • @cnicolo

    I do really love it ... is what I most like, transform a normal day light pic into something more interesting and personal. Anyway really lovely work.
    Is there maybe a way to boost lights inside of the street lamps ? By the way thank you so much Colin

    • @photoshopcafe
      @photoshopcafe  4 года назад

      Yes, if you turn up exposure and whites you can make it very bright

    Awesome. Not an expert as you are, but the main lamp lighting looks not natural as there is nothing to reflect it off. If its a foggy night then perhaps we need much more feathering

    • @photoshopcafe

      When you choose the tool, the options should appear in the adjustments panel, its near the bottom of the settings. Didi you see the written steps? photoshopcafe.com/change-day-night-camera-raw-lighting-photos-photoshop/
