Hey, guys! For those of you wondering why suddenly I’m working on a Mac instead of Windows, I actually use both systems behind the scenes. For some reason, whenever I work with Camera Raw, my screen recorder on Windows freezes, so had to record this one on a Mac. Keep Creating :) - Unmesh
I appreciate how you always remember to tell us the Mac and Windows keyboard shortcuts. I work with students that are mostly on the Mac, but sometimes I have to help with Windows. Good to know both!
“Why we even need channels like these” has EVERYTHING to do with the presenter! We click for the info, but stay tuned for the wit charm and wisdom of the presenter. Thx 4 all you do, Unmesh!
Bro, it doesn't matter if you are using a MAC or a PC. What's important is the knowledge you are sharing with us. Thanks for your amazing tutorials. You are definitely the GOAT.
I am blown away by this information AND how well you share your knowledge while still being likable and not exhausting to listen too. You seem to really have a care and passion for your craft and for helping others grow and lean. What a gift! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and flare with us!
Bro! I'm in a photoshop class for school. Although my professor is very good at his job, I have a hard time retaining the information. Your videos help me so much when I'm at home doing the assignments! Big thanks and keep doing what you do!
I never expected to get the analogy about a raw potato, and it make even more sense to me about camera raw than anything I heard before. Here we are! ❤ Thanks, Unmesh! Even now, I keep learning so much!
Yes it's a perfect example, I knew what actually a RAW photo is, but unable to teach that to my friends (yes I'm the photographer in my friend group), now I'm able to teach them about RAW/DNG format.
What a BEAST of a tutorial video!!! I’ve been using Camera Raw for way too long to not know about many of these features. Self taught. This video is going to change SO much of my work flow going forward. Thank you!!!
You are the best. You are my reference when it comes to Photoshop. I use Bridge and Camera Raw and have learned new shortcuts watching this video. Keep up the good work.
I'm amazed at all the new tools and actions in Camera Raw, I had to get a newer computer to be able to access the latest version of Photoshop, it was so worth it. My favorite thing is the portrait retouching that creates all the separate masks for skin, teeth, eyes etc.
At some point, I realized I'm close to completing the video because of all the info I was getting only to check the seek and realize it's only been 8 minutes... so much info here!!👏👏
A BIG Thank You for doing this detailed video of ACR. It has so many new changes, but the tutorials are minimal. There are lots of LR videos, but many people who use PS exclusively DO use ACR. As always, your videos always cover so many details others do not address at all. ❤❣️❣️
Finally finished all the new tutorial videos and I loved it and I leaned so much. I know the basics of Photoshop but there were so many features i wasn't familiar with like the Pencil to in Curves and the fact that you can use images as masks just to name a few. So thanks a lot for this AWESOME series
Another amazing tutorial! Just packed with information. I think I'm going to have to watch it another 20 times just to soak up all that knowledge!! Thank you so much for your hard work!
Always great content! I really appreciate the info shared and the way it's presented. Pro-tip for white balance in Camera Raw, when using the White Balance tool (I), you can click and drag to get the average of an area instead of a point sample. Really handy for proper white balance over an area that has variations.
Best dang tutorial on Camera Raw EVER!!!! Thank you SO much for helping me get a foothold on Camera Raw!!! You ROCK!!! p.s. Have you named your potato!?!?🤣🤣🤣
Love this tutorial Unmesh. I've been loving all these new ACR features. I saw the face appear and didn't realize you could click on the face to see all those separate masks. Thanks for showing that feature.
i have been waiting for this next lecture ever since. i thought unmesh might not upload next lecture or there may not be a good response to recent uploads. but thank you so much i really needed this.
Thanks, Unmesh. I pretty much knew all this, but I'll have to be honest. I've used Photoshop since v1 in the early '90s but I *STILL* don't really understand everything about color spaces. I use sRGB most of the time, but I'm honestly clueless. Can you do a video all about color spaces? Love your videos. Keep them coming!
My experience and uderstanding is, that while AdobeRGB can give you a wider color range, most of the monitors, tablets, phones, etc are using sRGB, so the colors won't be as good as intended on most screens. On the other hand, when printing a photo in a pro photo printer, AdobeRGB might be better, but again, in my experience, sRGB is less prone to give you undesirable color variations, until AdobeRGB or any other wider color space is being used as the standard in screens and monitors.
Thank you. I have a wide gamut monitor which respects those color spaces. And this is my understanding and experience as well. I still don’t have a deep understanding, though, and just end up falling back to sRGB time and again and feel ignorant each time. I also do design for web and print so am ashamed to not have a better handle on the topic.
Another great video! Did anyone else notice that at 31:38 there’s a flash right before the end screen? It looks like there’s one frame of an old end screen template or something 😆
I have been working on Camera Raw since 2016. I work every day for more than 200 photos in a camera raw. Camera raw is more powerful than a JPEG photo. I suggest every photographer shoot your photo in RAW format.
Excellent tutorial as always sir!!! Love the analogies that you made in the beginning. I just sent this to my buddy who was asking me about RAW a few days ago. You did a much better job of explaining this all than I did. Cheers. Like 641 and full watch. 👍💯🔥
Love your beginning course! Which version of Photoshop we need to have to follow all the steps you showed us? Does it needs to be the latest one? Thank you!
Hello, first of all great instruction! Can you tell me the difference between saving the image in ACR with “Done” or As a “ Smart Object? It seems both will save the settings in ACR.
Hello. I'm a newbie in Photoshop. Your tutorials have helped a lot in this journey of understanding PS. I would like to understand Camera Raw at a deeper level. Would you gain any benefit from using Camera Raw instead of using lots of adjustment layers? If so, what possible applications are there?
FYI to reset the view in addition to the instruction you gave you can also press the alt key which changes the Cancel button to Reset. This does the same thing as your instructions.
I started watching your videos as want to move into photoshop for some post production instead of only relying on lightroom. Camera Raw looks almost the same, is there any real differences?
What is the different between photoshop camera raw and Lightroom? Both seem do the same thing and look the same too? Thanks for the tutorial!Awesome as always!

Without a doubt the best presenter of PS and other Adobe programmes on RUclips. I have learned so much and am really enjoying the journey.

Neither do I, but it made a perfect example. lol

Remarkably thorough, well organized and densely packed with information. Your presentation style is so positive. Thank you for this.

I just landed here and I already notice the whimsicallity in the video. Congrats for the good work!
Even if somebody is already working with CameRaw, they can still learn something new. Thank you for your upload and great work.
