- Here's another trailer by GravityBone, this time tackling the concept of a third Tim Burton Batman film. Its a great trailer that captures the classic nineties tone, hope you guys enjoy!
I'm going true Tim Burton on you, by doing a 'Nightmare before Christmas'. I had this set to release in October, but got delayed. So I didn't feel like rushing this after that, and took my time with it. The end result being this trailer that I was able to release on Christmas instead. So I hope you all like this present, and I hope to make more trailers in the new year.
Batman Triumphant brings back Micheal Keaton as Batman in the third instillation to Tim Burton's series. Starring Jeff Goldblum as Kirk Langstrom aka Man-Bat, and Brad Dourif as Dr. Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow. Batman must stop the city from falling into Scarecrow's fear gas, and confront his darkest fears. While a genetically modified human-bat hybrid is also loose in Gotham. This will be the night that Batman must Triumph over his fears.

Damn, that was great. Too bad Tim Burton couldn't do another Batman film with Keaton.
It could never have happened. Keaton was pretty happy trying out other roles by this point, and Burton probably wouldn't have been interested; they just barely managed to get him to come back for BATMAN RETURNS. Also, why would Warner Brothers even dream of doing this? "Hey, remember that guy we had do or two Batman flicks a decade ago? The one who caused a major backlash against us because his style was too dark? Let's bring him back - this time to make a movie that's EVEN MORE dark!"
Loved it, the choice of Scarecrow and Manbat as villains is very inspired, and the idea of Selina returning and also Nicholson's Joker appearing in a nightmare sequence would have been a great concept for Keaton's Batman. Well done!
Not bad. This is clearly based on the DarKnight script with Scarecrow & ManBat, with a touch of the Triumphant/Unchained Joker hallucination. Brad Dourif is A-1 casting, though Nicolas Cage & Jeff Goldblum wouldn't have been bad either. Speaking of Goldblum, while I know The Fly footage proved useful for the trailer, if this film had actually happened, it might have been more interesting to see someone like James Spader as Langstrom/ManBat. Imagining that voice coming out of a bat creature is chilling...
Had we seen something like the new Batman '89 comic (with Billy Dee as Two-Face & Wayans as Robin) as an alternate Batman Forever, then followed it up with this version of Triumphant, that'd be a perfect set of sequels to follow-up the first two films. Alas, what could've been. Good work.
Great editing and choice of footage, the use of the Jeepers Creepers monster was just perfect.

@@santiagofranco91952 I doubt it. Tim Burton is dark but not too dark. The way he talk about his superhero movies like the test footage with Superman Lives, he and Nic Cage describing it as a child’s fairytale and not too seriously. Hell, even recent interviews with Deadline, Burton now feels his movies are light-hearted compared to today’s versions. Hell, the climax of his Batman Return had an ARMY OF PENGUINS WITH MISSILES. There was no way it would be horror and R-rated.

Very well done editing. Good clip choice. The only issue I have that It's not really a trailer. There's no real building of energy or real narration. It's more of a concept video. It's a series of "scenes" with clips thrown in. Also, Batman/Bruce Wayne doesnt speak. It's a BATMAN video. That's odd. But still, a very soild video.
+ChiefBrodyRules I'm afraid I disagree with you Sir Brody. This does indeed have a build up, the whole third act of this trailer is building up a compilation of shots that would happen within the 'movie'. You saying this is a 'concept video' is invalid since all fan-made trailer are in fact concept videos expressing ideas of the creator. Not every trailer needs a narration, and most trailers now are a compilation of scenes that don't give away the whole film but indicates some story, but does not reveal it in its entirety. I think Whiplash did a fantastic job at giving us something that makes us want more, yet shows us the potential of what Tim Burton could have done if he had a third Batman film. Also, Batman is not a outspoken superhero. He is methodical, and Keaton's Batman didn't speak all that often in Tim Burton's films. I know how Batman sounds, the fact that Whiplash focuses more on the villains is better in my opinion. I've seen Keaton's Batman, but this portrayal of Man-Bat and Scarecrow is solid. I'm simply saying that you cant call out on a video for being a concept, since that is exactly what you do as well. You guys are trying to make trailers for movies that you would love to see made or how you would persevere them to be told. Its a concept of a movie, from scratch, take it for what you will.

+Folio 305 Yeah. No. I still disagree. I believe what makes a fan trailer great and excellent is when it has a narrative. That what makes the best ones standout. (Great example is the Deadshot trailer by Gravitybone. That has an amazing narrative.) That should be the ultimate goal for a fan trailer. Yes, fan trailers are "concept" but the best ones are actual "stories". There has to an equal amount of showing and telling. Great visuals and Ideas, I just wish there was a stronger narrative that held it together. Like I said excellent editing, I just wish there was more of an actual story and more Batman. It IS a batman movie.

Great trailer, plus you should’ve added Robin and Batgirl in the trailer. I would cast Leonardo DiCaprio for Dick Grayson and Sarah Michelle Gellar for Barbara Gordon.

+Austin Voelker Well, Batman Triumphant was planned to be made as a film and the concept idea for that has Scarecrow as the main villain along with Man-Bat and I think Harley Quinn as well, but changed to be The Joker's daughter. They also wanted The Joker in the film, but as a hallucination from the fear gas. Seems like Rocksteady pretty much were inspired and chose that for their third game.
