- Since we’ll never get to see a Batfleck movie, thought I’d make a fan trailer of my favorite Batman movie out there. Been wanting to do this since BvS, I did a few drafts in 2017, then finally redid it after Solyentbrak1 pointed me to the Major Grom movie. Enjoy!
Plot: 20 years ago, after his fiancé Andrea Beaumont (Jessica Chastain) fled, Bruce Wayne donned the cowl and became the Batman. 20 years later, Andrea returns to Gotham after the disappearance of Andrea’s father, Carl Beaumont (Ed Harris). In Gotham, a hooded figure has been seen killing Gotham crime bosses who are tied to Carl and the hitman who shot him, who would eventually become the Joker. With this hooded figure (or "Phantasm") having a similar resemblance to Batman, the caped crusader is now on the run. When Bruce rekindles his romance with Andrea, can Batman finally retire the cowl and be happy? Who is the "Phantasm," and how far will they shake up the future of Gotham?

This was fucking epic, I love the use of leto pre joker just like in the movie! Mask of the phantasm is a masterpiece maybe you could of used the music from the movie to really give it that full feel bloody great job 👍👍
Glad you liked it! Yeah MotP music is great, I tried that in the beginning, but I wanted it to have an actual Batfleck tone, and then I decided to go with the trailer music I had in this.

I gotta say, I’m glad I discovered this trailer. It’s very impressive and well made. I’m glad to see that I wasn’t the only one who thought Jessica Chastain would be a great live action Andrea opposite Ben’s version of Bruce/Batman. I genuinely think that this would be a fantastic version of Mask of the Phantasm that could take place in the old DCEU. It would’ve been a great origin story for Ben’s Batman. At least, in my opinion. It’s definitely one of the best fan made Batman movie trailers to come out in recent times. Good work.

This was the best fan trailer I've EVER seen, the story telling is so good. The music hits hard, the vfx makes it feel like its specifically made for this other than stolen from a different movie. This is SO good. Honestly, this deserves much more traction!
wow, just wow! that was great! it really brought the emotional tension between Bruce and Andrea! and even showing the younger joker as a hitman, killing her father was awesome! I wish this was real, I really really do. awesome job man!

Wow. What a trailer. I love Mask of The Phantasm. I have not seen fan editors use other Jared Leto movies for anything Joker related before, which elevates the Joker aspect of the original movie. I only dislike you involving the twist of Phantasm, even though it is very crazy of a twist, I feel like it takes away from the trailer and leans into a quicknotes summary of the story. That doesn't mean you failed, this better win YEA Awards 2022
Really appreciate that! I see what you mean about the twist, when I was working on the climax to the trailer, I didn't want it to be just random action personally, so that's my main reason.

Hit all the right markers and some of the lines from the movies drop Easter eggs like “could be a Phantasm” or one straight from the animated version where joker says your not the Bats”…I was trying to be upset that it wasn’t the real deal and I’m not sold on Afflecks Batman but this was very cinematic. The music/ score makes sense for their love story. Andrea is a red head, Lettos joker is probably the closest to the animated version,
Phantasms outfit isn’t an exact replica but it captures the essence of her vengeance which is death incarnate or the plague doctor and the mask is metal…f***in epic.
