- My, hopefully, final trailer of Batman Forever. This is my vision of how Tim Burton would have made his third Batman film if he had been allowed to direct it instead of Joel Schumacher.
The story:
Sometime after the events of Batman Returns, Gotham City is plagued a string of robberies and murders committed by a criminal nicknamed the Riddler (Robin Williams). Unable catch the Riddler on his own, the District Attorney, Harvey Dent (Billy Dee Williams) calls upon the help of the vigilante known as Batman (Michael Keaton).
As the hunt for the Riddler continues, Batman seeks advice from his psychiatrist, Doctor Meridan Chase (Rene Russo), who offers her own insight, both to the Riddler's thinking, and Batman's. Meanwhile, the Riddler begins to communicate directly with Batman and Harvey Dent, offering them a mix of philosophical puzzles, taunts, and his own twisted justification for his crimes.
Things come to a head when the Riddler lures the police into a trap, where he and his henchman ambushes them. Batman intervenes, but Harvey Dent is badly scarred and hospitalized.
Batman pieces together the last clue he needs to find the Riddler and sets out to bring him down. But the Prince of Riddles has thought few more steps ahead of the Dark Knight, and someone may have just gone over the edge.
Cast:
Michael Keaton: Batman/Bruce Wayne
Robin Williams: The Riddler
Billy Dee Williams: Harvey Dent
Rene Russo: Doctor Chase Merdian
Pat Hingle: James Gordon
Michael Gough: Alfred Pennyworth
Marlon Wayans cameos as Dick Grayson
Music:

R.I.P. Robin Williams.

R.I.P Robin Williams ,He would have been an great Riddler.
yes he would have been so good :(
Rorschach He sure would have been.
He would have been better as the Riddler than Jim Carrey.
He is Joel Schumacher's original choice for The Riddler, actually. Lee and Janet Scott Batchler wrote the part with him in mind in the first draft of Batman Forever, but he turn it down because he found The Riddler way too intellectual, and so, Jim Carrey was cast instead.
Rorschach I agree Robin Williams would’ve been a great Riddler! R.I.P. Robin Williams.

My God! By far one of the best fan trailers I have ever seen try (and succeed) to create a hypothetical Tim Burton era sequel featuring the rumors of that time. As a Burton die hard, I was completely swept away. It actually makes me feel terrible that this will not be coming to a theater near me.
It doesn't exist. Batman Forever didn't start out as a Tim Burton project. It was always Joel Schumacher's baby. God how cool would it be to see a movie with Michael Keaton AND Robin Williams, sadly it's not even a possibility now.
Joel Schumacher was actually going to make the film with Michael Keaton and Robin Williams, because I read an old magazine article and Schumacher's interview about it.
Man if only Batman Forever was like this, it would've been awesome and more badass
I agree! If it had been like this, it would've been the "Dark Knight" of its time.
It was suppose to be called "Batman continues"
It was badass anyway
@@atlsooner85 actually, Batman Continues was a made up title. So as Batman Triumphant.
Not a fan of Black Robin, but they could make Marlon's Robin a different character from Dick, like how Marvel made Zendaya's MJ different from the comic MJ

And now because of those stupid parents,Two-Face and Riddler acting like Joker, Neon lights Gotham, and worse of all, bat-credit card, bat-nipples and bat-butts. And now those stupid parents are happy, and enire Batman fanbase is pissed off. Now, IF Tim Burton makes third Batman movie, he will not called ,,Batman Forever,, because he dosen't like it. He will maybe called ,,Batman Continues,, and after that, he will make ,,proper,, Batman and Robin, Batman Triumphat and Batman Knightfall.

@@nemanjadvizac4768 it is said that Marlon wayans was supposed to be Robin
Why couldn't this movie have been made instead of the one we got! Robin Williams would kick ass as Riddler!
Because he is Joel Schumacher's original choice to play The Riddler, because he asked him and he said that playing The Riddler would be very nify, but when Williams turn it down, he found The Riddler way too intellectual, not as comedic as The Riddler play by Frank Gorshin in the television series. So the role went to Jim Carrey and the rest is history.
This is... perfection.
Riddler: To them, you're a liar and you're a killer. Everything you've worked for is destroyed, you get it?

Actually, it was Joel Schumacher who wanted Robin Williams for The Riddler before Jim Carrey was cast. And it was also Schumacher who wanted Two-Face as the main villain, and he cast Tommy Lee Jones in the role. And he also wanted Michael Keaton to come back as Batman, before Val Kilmer was cast. And he also originally cast Renee Russo as Chase Meridian before Nicole Kidman was cast.
That gave me chills...
Me too.
This is absolutely phenomenal. This really did blow me away. After seeing this trailer I actually wish this movie had gotten made.
Fun fact; during earlier development of Forever, Burton actually wanted Scarecrow as the villain.
That's just a rumor. Batman Forever didn't start out as a Tim Burton project. It was always Joel Schumacher's baby.
R.I.P Robin Williams
He is in comedy heaven with Chris Farley, Phil Hartman, Sam Kinison, John Candy, Redd Foxx, Gilda Radner, George Carlin, Richard Pryor, and Rodney Dangerfield. Robin Williams would make an even more hilarious Riddler, because Joel Schumacher and the Batchlers wanted Robin as The Riddler in Batman Forever before Jim Carrey was cast. And yeah, WB used him to trick Jack Nicholson into signing on as The Joker in Batman 89, and Robin couldn't get to play The Riddler in Batman Forever, because there was a salary dispute. He wanted too much money, and so as Michael Keaton.
I've often wondered how Billy Dee would've been as Harvey had he actually gotten some script & screentime, & this trailer pretty much erased any doubt in my mind. And that Two-Face teaser at the end - great stuff! He would've nailed both parts. what a damn shame.
JoggingOnTheMoon I agree. Harvey Dent actually had a lot more to do, and a much more prominent role in Sam Hamm's and Tim Burton's original "Batman" script. He was one of the most important supporting characters. But, sadly his role was severely reduced when the Producers and the Studio got their finger prints all over the script, and the film ended up being only a shadow of what that script was. I still Love "Batman 89" but it's definitely a compromised film.
Benjamin Cooper my sentiments exactly. I still think it's the best Batman film so far, but it seems a lot of great stuff was cut that would've given the picture more meat. And the whole black & white (black man w/white scar tissue) dynamic for Two-Face would've been just brilliant.
Hey I actually did an unofficial fan film version of a black Two Face. Temporarily off RUclips but private message me and I can get it to you. Peace.
Because Warner Bros. bought out his contract. And he's like, "Jesus fucking Christ". But that's okay, they got Tommy Lee Jones in the role of Two-Face in Batman Forever, and Aaron Eckhart in The Dark Knight.
JoggingOnTheMoon Tim Burton actually had no intention of having Two-Face as the villain in Batman Forever, he only had the Riddler and Catwoman as the villains.
This is almost like a part of the DC Multiverse.
Very sorry to know that I can never see this movie. I miss so much Robin Williams.
This is what Batman Forever is suppose to be which BTW if Tim Burton got to direct it, the movie would have been called Batman Continues
Or simply Batman III.
I wrote a fan-script called Batman Continues. It set after the events of the first two Batman films, but it's very dark and moody and campy and flamboyant. I wrote parts of Scarecrow, Mr. Freeze, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Two-Face, and Riddler with Brad Douriff, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Geena Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Tommy Lee Jones, and Jim Carrey in mind.
Nohp u dummy
Nathan Dermond I really really loved what Tim Burton did with these characters made them dark instead of that campy shit with Adam West
Evan Zaremba Inspired by the DC Comics Characters & The Film Series Initiated by Tim Burton.
It's too bad Tim Burton didn't get to direct the Batman Forever. Because I think if Tim Burton had stayed on after Batman Returns. This is most likely the third film we definitely would have gotten. It would have been a lot better than the movie we actually got.
B Squad Power Rangers agreed
Actually, Tim Burton had a little involvement with Batman Forever is to hire his friend Joel Schumacher as the director and Lee and Janet Scott Batchler as the writers. That's why he was credit as a producer.

The best batman movie that never was
It never actually existed. Check out a video essay about the debunk Burton Batman 3 called "The Myth of Tim Burton's Batman 3: Batman Continues Debunked."
People really overestimate how “dark and gritty” Burton’s Batman films were. He wouldn’t have the Riddler be an obnoxious Jim Carrey cartoon character, but I also doubt he’d be a serial killer.
That said, this was a great trailer, and wonderfully edited. I’d totally love to see a Batman film like this. The tone you set is like a nice balance between the Burton and Nolan universes, my two favorite big screen depictions of Batman. Good stuff.
Actually, Robin Williams would be the same over the top/flamboyant Riddler as was in the final film. Besides, I like Jim Carrey as The Riddler.

This Riddler was indeed as "unknown" as a Predator 😁😁
That would've made a better movie than the soft reboot Batman Forever.
This is a very good trailer, like the way Robin's Riddler is taunting Bruce and how Billy Dee's Two-Face approaches Bruce is pretty interesting, although I feel like Billy is very more pictured as "acting 'TWO-FACE' than actually becoming the alter-ego. Also, I enjoyed Jim's performance as Edward Nygma/The Riddler as his portrayal was so far, pretty good, though his Riddler wasn't great, and watching Robin's take on The Riddler in the fan script was very cool. Honestly, I think it would've been cooler if they did a tweedle-dee and tweedle-dum kinda thing with Jim Carrey playing Edward Nygma while Robin Williams is playing his alter-ego, The Riddler. Robin's Riddler teaming up with Billy Dee's Two-Face to take down Batman would be very cool, and not to mention, much better to watch than that terribly laughable trainwreck they gave us on "Batman Forever"(No offense to Jim, he was the highlight!). I really like Nicole Kidman's take on Dr. Chase Meridian, with her line saying, "You like strong women. I've done my homework. Or do I need skin-tight vinyl and a whip?", eager to persuade Batman(Keaton) who may find her attractive, just isn't at all interested in her, which sucks because they didn't give her much to do. The balcony scene along with their meeting and The Riddler(Carrey) kidnapping Dr. Chase Meridian(Kidman) in the actual "Batman Forever" movie was pretty good, just it could've been executed better. To me, the idea of having the psychologist fall for Batman while trying to figure out the villain's motive was a missed opportunity because that could've given Nicole's Dr. Chase Merdian good character development. Chris's Robin was pretty okay, just wasn't the right casting to be Robin, while Marlon would make a better choice as Robin, though the idea itself of casting Marlon to be Robin is I don't know. But overall, this trailer is very good🔥🔥😲👏
Shut the fuck up! Tim Burton's Batman 3 didn't exist. Batman Forever never started out as a Tim Burton project. It was always Joel Schumacher's baby, according to Ben Wan and Andrew Bush on the podcast "Superhero Stuff You Should Know". According to their interview with Lee and Janet Scott Batchler, Tim Burton's only involvement with Batman Forever as producer was to hire his friend Joel Schumacher as director and helping out hiring The Batchlers to write the screenplay with Akiva Goldsman doing revisions.
Futhermore, it was Joel who wanted Michael Keaton to return as Batman for the film before Val Kilmer was cast. And Kevin Smith had a copy of the Schumacher Cut of Batman Forever in a thumb drive. And he watched it. And it's longer.

Hey, in case you didn’t know, originally, Burton wanted the villains to be Catwoman and Scarecrow, but then WB forced in Riddler, Schumacher forced in Two-Face, and when Burton & Keaton left, they removed Catwoman & Scarecrow entirely. Also, Burton’s original Batman 3 would’ve still introduced Robin, and the film would’ve been called “Batman Continues”.
That's right. Schumacher already knew he wanted Tommy Lee Jones for Two-Face, and he is the perfect choice for the role. Schumacher asked Robin Williams to play The Riddler, for which the role went to Jim Carrey.

It was not Burton who wanted Two-Face and Riddler. It was Schumacher who wanted Two-Face, and The Batchlers who wanted The Riddler.
AWESOMEEEEEEEE!
I can picture Billy Dee Williams’ Harvey Dent saying “This deal’s getting worse all the time” as a reference to “The Empire Strikes Back.”
Tim Burton even hated the title "Batman Forever" so he wouldn't have named his third one that. Tim Burton said in his book Burton on Burton, "I always hated those titles like Batman Forever. I thought, 'Batman Forever, that sounds like a tattoo somebody would get when their on drugs or something,' or something some kid would write in the yearbook to somebody else. I have high problems with some of those titles." No, while Tim Burton was still the director of the project his plans for the third one were much darker of Brad Dourif (Chucky in Child's Play) as the Scarecrow with the film set at Hallowe'en (continuing the holiday theme, remember Batman Returns was set at Christmas), along with a possible return of Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman as the second villain (who clearly survived the events of Batman Returns) plus possibly Chip Shreck seeking revenge for the death of his father. Michael Keaton had sort of a prequel idea and that might have fit in with the Scarecrow's fear gas causing Batman to have haunting flashbacks of his past. Burton didn't want Robin involved but Warner Bros did so in an attempt at a compromise Marlon Wayans was going to play just a mechanic named Robin but just called "the Kid" wearing a garage mechanics uniform with an R on it who helps Batman out with the Batmobile, which was originally planned by Burton and screenwriter Daniel Waters for Batman Returns but dropped with the idea that they'd add Marlon Wayans in the next one. But Warner Brothers studio executives were determined to go lighter and with a more traditional Dick Grayson Robin so they did not let Tim Burton get far enough into production to hire a script writer. The Riddler was not even considered by Tim Burton until Joel Schumacher and Batman Forever writers Lee and Janet Scott Batchler took over. It was Joel Schumacher who wanted Robin Williams to play the Riddler, and Lee and Janet Scott Batchler wrote the role with Robin Williams in mind. Robin Williams confirmed in November 19, 1993, that he had been talking to director Joel Schumacher about the project scheduled to film in September 1994, and he said that he thought playing the Riddler would be "nifty," but the script wasn't finished yet. Joel Schumacher was expecting the script to be in his hands on January 1, 1994. articles.orlandosentinel.com/1993-11-19/entertainment/9311190178_1_dirty-shame-riddler-batman-iii
After reading the Batman Forever script Robin Williams turned down the role. He believed the character was too intellectual and not as comedic as the Riddler played by Frank Gorshin on the TV series.

The Crow (1994)
Requiem for a Dream (2000)
2:25 what movie is that from?
The hand with the bloodied coin? That's actually taken from the trailer to the video game Hitman: Absolution.
While the actual Batman Forever is a guilty pleasure of mine, I think this would’ve been awesome.
This should have been one of the darkest sequels to the Keaton movies. From this trailer, I can already picture the talk between Batman and Riddler.
Batman: You're trying to push me to my breaking point just like you did with Dent? The Joker already tried and he's in the ground as we speak. What makes you think you can achieve what he couldn't, Nigma?
Nigma: The Joker was chaotic. He had no real ambition, no real focus. A man without focus achieves nothing. A man WITH focus achieves everything
Batman: That depends on where this night ends. So far, I'm not seeing any achievements besides you blowing the DA half to hell
Nigma: Hahaha you poor fool. The nights only just getting started
Which footage of Robin Williams did you use?
The footage of Robin Williams was taken from the films One Hour Photo and Insomnia.
What movie did you use for Billy Dee in this epic fanmade trailer?
Most of the footage and sound bites of Billy Dee Williams were taken from Fear City (1984) and Mask of Death (1996.). I also use one shot from Batman (1988).
Most of the footage of Michael Keaton (out of costume) and Rene Russo was taken from One Good Cop (1991). I also used a clip of Russo from Ransom (1996).
what about marlon wayans?
Somewhere in a alternate universe we got these other burton batman movies and we also got batman vs superman with michael keaton and christopher reeve
The story for this alternate version of the movie kinda reminds me of "The Dark Knight", except with Riddler taking the place of the Joker. In this version of "Batman Forever", the Riddler seems to be trying to prove a point while deconstructing Batman. Also, this trailer implies that Riddler has a hand in Harvey getting scarred and becoming Two-Face, much like how the Joker did in "The Dark Knight".
This trailer implies that Robin Williams' Riddler is not one to be taken lightly. He's a murderer and a sociopath who seeks to bring Batman down to his level by pushing him to the breaking point.
Amazing job.
This film's plot looks like it would be a mixture between Batman Forever, The Dark Knight, and The Batman (unreleased when this trailer was made.) It's tone would be a synthesis between the Burton and Nolan films.
If its any consolation, Joel Schumacher actually wanted to make Batman Forever similar to Batman Returns, just not as dark, but Warner Bros. wouldn't let him. That was why Michael Keaton refused to come back as Batman, and I think Tim Burton had very little say, he was just listed as producer as advertising material, like James Cameron for Terminator: Dark Fate.
Because Warner Bros wanted to market the film like they did with 1989's Batman. And there's a Schumacher cut of Batman Forever in the WB vaults. Would you like to trend on Twitter? Besides, I like Forever just the way it is.

Agnwstos Tupos87 The first music clip is Flowers by Danny Elfman from the Batman (1989) OST.
Please warner animation make an animated movie of this
It’s said that this film was going to be called ‘Batman Continues’ when Tim Burton was still around.
Some people really didn’ like (or hate) this title because it’s a bad title, but I like it.
Tim Burton didn’t like the title ‘Batman Forever’. What should it be called other than ‘Batman Forever’ or ‘Batman Continues’.
Me, I was thinking ‘Batman strikes again’.
Actually, Batman Continues was a madeup title. Batman Forever never started out as a Tim Burton project. It was always Joel Schumacher's baby. Tim's only involvement with Batman Forever as producer was to hire his friend Joel as director and helping out hiring the Batchlers to write the screenplay with Akiva Goldsman doing revisions.
Looks like The Long Halloween with the Riddler
0:23 what movie is the code, and what's the answer to that and the other ones. Also, I heard that Kidman was asked by Shumacher to play Poison Ivy (Not a joke)! Good job, either way.
The code was taken from Zodiac (2007). The code was based off a real life puzzle which has never been solved, but allegedly contains the identity of a real life serial killer.
I remember the casting of Kidman as Poison Ivy. I even incorporated it into another video: ruclips.net/video/oph1r_KVipQ/видео.html
I'll take the Batman Forever we got
this would be great!
Dude yes, with some effects you could've changed Bat suit grey and made 2 face badass. But this was an awesome trailer. Good story too.
I think this trailer is good, but why dont use Robin Williams dialogues from "Aladdin movie" and
And also, why there are no clips Of Robin
Williams from Hook (1991) and Jumanji (1995)?
By The way, whats your opinions on Good Will Hunting and Aladdin?
Como me hubiera gustado ver esta versión de Tim Burton....
This would of been epic really well made fan trailer. I would like to direct you to a fan edited version of Batman Forever that feels more like a Tim Burton film called "Batman Forever - Red Book Edition" it was Joel's original intent on how he wanted the movie to be but studio interferance got in the way as well as pressure to make it more family friendly but this edited version swaps out scenes with deleted scenes and removes most of all the cheesy scenes plus lines of dialog making Harvy/Two-Face more psychotic than silly and stupid. It's a much better film than what was released in theaters the neon colors were also toned down so it's almost like a film nior in certain scenes. Much darker. I highly recommend checking it out if you can't find it I'll upload it on to MEGA and send the url here.
日本では未公開です DVDでもBlu-rayでも 収めて欲しかったです

2:10 what are from? Whats your thoughts on Supernatural, did you think the monsters and angels are accurate to lore, well did you think that Supernatural becames way worse in the later seasons?
By the way have you seen The Winchesters, and do you think that Supernatural wasn't memorable for you
Have you heard of the series "Roswell" Or "Roswell: New Mexico"
This would have been the best movie ever. Come on, is so sad it never happened. Well we could only imagine the greatness of this. And don't forget more Elfman sountrack. Also I would have brought back Vicky Vale of course.
Billy Dee Williams would’ve been such a brilliant Two Face. I didn’t like Tommy Lee Jones as Two Face it was like he was trying to do what Jim Carrey did with his role of The Riddler. It was like they were trying to compete against each other.
Robin Williams as The Riddler would’ve been a good choice after seeing One Hour Photo Williams showed he could give a creepy vibe.
If only Tim Burton directed these batman films after Batman Returns they would’ve been a right good series of movies.
Michael Keaton as Batman
Jack Nicholson as Joker
Michael Gough as Alfred
Pat Hingle as Commissioner Gordon
Danny DeVito as Penguin
Michelle Pfeiffer as Catwoman
Marlon Wayans as Robin
Billy Dee Williams as Two Face
Rene Russo as Dr Chase Meridian
Robin Williams as The Riddler
Patrick Stewart as Mr Freeze
Nicole Kidman as Poison Ivy
Christina Ricci as Batgirl
Nicolas Cage as Scarecrow
Madonna as Harley Quinn.
Great job dude.

I can't make out any of the dialogue, the music is way too loud.
this is so cool
Would of been EPIC
Can you make a trailer of the 1996 King Kong? I would love to see that, so please do some editing and make a trailer... please?
Where did you get that Billiy Dee Williams line from?
All of Billy Dee William's lines were take from Mask of Death (1996).
This movie would've been a box office failure in the 90s because everyone would've whined about the Riddler's costume. Nolan's realism hadn't changed the genre yet.
Great trailer though. This actually felt more like a sequel to Batman Returns than the actual Batman Forever did.
This fan trailer predicted that they relied on the Zodiac killer to make the Riddler in The Batman
Tim burton batman and Robin it's one funny trailer
Honestly, I think Jim Carrey could still work as the Riddler in Tim Burton’s Batman Forever.
why you put scenes of the crow in here?
Where does this shot come from at 1:53 ?
If it's not too much trouble but can you list the films in which the exterior shots were taken from?
Sorry for the late reply. The exterior shots were taken from Batman, Batma Returns, The Shadow, The Crow and Dark City.
What if Joel Schumacher chose James Newton Howard instead of Elliot Goldenthal to score Batman Forever and that's why I made a video about it ruclips.net/video/RHDlXcB-V6c/видео.htmlfeature=shared
I think Robin Williams would of made a better Riddler than Jim Carry . Always go with the first choice.
What was the Music that was playing from 2:05-2:36?
That was Famine by Grooves Addicts.
