Top choice for me: Mr. Freeze. 1. Great and reliable motivations 2. Complex morality 3. Presents an opportunity for interesting creative fight scenes 4. Would be an awesome redemption the audience would want to see 5. Fits perfectly with the themes of corruption and greed established in the first movie (as he is betrayed by a businessman, a perfect opportunity for either complex political and social subtex or cheap political jabs at a system the writer doesn't begin to understand, depends on who would write it) 6. Immensely cool design
Freeze's origin could also tie in to the first film's events to. Like maybe his wife got sick because she swallowed some contaminated water from the flooding caused by Riddler's bombs.
If the rumors that Reeves will introduce a 13 year old Dick Grayson in the film are truth, then I think the main villain should be The Mad Hatter. Rather than a creepy inventor who uses devices to brainwash people, Jarvis could be introduce as man who went insane after losing his wife, Alice Tech, during the climax of the previous film. Creating his Mad Hatter persona, he could become Gotham's "Jack the Ripper", kidnapping women in the street and using special drugs to force them to act like his late wife. Everytime his victim start to resists his controls (or Jarvis notice something that is different from his Alice, like the color of the eyes), he freaks outs and kills her in brutal ways, screaming "You're not my Alice". This would work as contrast to Batman's arc with Dick Grayson, with the Dark Knight adopting the kid and growing from a loner vigilante to become and mentor figure and accept the help of his allies. He may have lost his parents, but through the allies he made, he was able to create a new family, while the Mad Hatter is obsess in recreating his past (his Alice), unable to accept her death and move on and develop new relationships (he's basically a dark reflection of what Batman could become if he let the fear of losing his people like he lost his parents control him).
@@litcomicsproductions5359 In the case of Victor Freeze, I think Reeves should jsut do what Gotham TV show did, with Nora still being alive, despite being sick, with Freeze freezing people and using them in experiment to try to cure his wife. As for Two Face, he could be introduce in the 2nd film as D.A trying to make Gotham better after the incident with the Riddler and the rise of a new gang lead by Black Mask. Dent and Batman could team up to try to capture the new crime boss, but stress of work, combine with the public pressure on him, could affect Harvey mentally, causing him to slowly reveal a dark personally, that is more agressive and willing to make morally questionable decisions. Eventually, Black Mask the could end up capturing Harvey and torturing him, causing his face to be desfigured. This event could driven Harvey insane and cause him to become Two Face. Later, Batman could find out that Black Mask was actually Roman Sionis, a corrupt candidate for Mayor, who knew about Harvey split personality and wanted to expose him in order to make people lose faith with the current system and he could win the election.

You're version of Mad Hatter is so interesting, I've always seen him as a Schizophrenic Creep who was insanely obsessed with Alice in wonderland and develops Mind Control chips to control the Women he thinks are Alice and wants to live in an Alice in wonderland fantasy and doesn't accept reality
i really really want ivy to be the villain in a movie down the line. she is one of my favorite villains and she's long due for a proper live action adaptation not just reducing to her seduction powers
Ivy could easily carry a movie as the solo villain so I hope we get her, if Reeves doesn’t wanna go supernatural she would be perfect for Brave and the Bold
Hush is a great choice! His only live-action adaption was in the Batwoman series so there's a lot of room to play with. Bane was hinted at with the Venom but I hope he becomes an ally/frenemy. That was a great pitch for Freeze, that could work. Depending on the level of power Clayface has, he might be better suited for a third installment. My money's on Birthday Boy, a freakishly large and strong mob enforcer who works for Penguin and is paid in young girls.
Hush I think would make the most sense tbh, however the whole thing behind Hush is that it’s a mystery, I don’t think it’s a thing that can be done with live action without heavy diversion from the source material (which wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing). But controversially I’d LOVE to see Professor Pyg. A sadistic murderer with an army of unfeeling, surgically altered dollotrons that outsmarts Batman at every turn because he’s forced to try and identify the victims and their histories. The victims could even be linked to the Wayne’s somehow to keep the underlying theme of the Wayne family playing a distinct role. I think with the right actor, the horror-vibe of the first movie could be turned up to 11 with Pyg as the main villain. Highly unlikely, but I would love to see it
Pyg fits this universe SO well so I really hope we get him one day. I wouldn’t mind a Hush diversion at all tbh especially bc of how obvious that twist is
Some villains that would be cool in live action imo would be Mad Hatter Clayface Mr. Freeze Scarecrow Hugo Strange Poison Ivy Court of owls Ventriloquist
"The Batman" movies want to be grounded and realistic, so we won't be getting any meta humans, which is unfortunate because I want to see Clayface, Killer Croc, and Man Bat in a multi million dollar Batman movie.
On the joker, I saw something a while back where the joker could have a Hannibal lecter like role, where Batman goes to the joker for help in catching whoever the main villain is. And the movie ends with him getting out of prison and sets him up as the villain of part 3
I like the detective mystery of the first movie, so I think a good way to do it is have the joker serve almost as a hannibal lector "psychotic expert" to help batman track down a worse killer. It'd be more intimate and , with less theatric motivation. The beaurocracy of the city could also be impeding batman, with lawyers like harvey dent potentially being set up as bought and sold by the penguin. The killer could also be someone less obvious like clayface, maybe not as a big goop monster but as a disfigured maniac
11:25 This has just brought back memories of the original Batman video game. I had it on the PSP, and used to play it religiously, a lot more than any of my Ben10 or racing games. In terms of storyline, Clayface was one of the very first villains shown other than Riddler and Ivy, and I liked his character a lot. As for free mode, I would play as him a lot too. Something about his uniqueness intrigued me. I know shapeshifting is a common power, but his origin was really cool to little me when I googled him after playing the game for the first couple of times. I was so disappointed to find out that LEGO has never made an official Clayface minifig, as I was also being introduced to the world of DC and Marvel LEGO sets and beginning my character collection that is still ongoing (love for LEGO never dies, my parents loved the sets as much as me). I would love to see Clayface in a live-action adaptation done justice and a VERY overdue LEGO product. (EDIT) Upon googling LEGO again for Clayface, my vision for that has always been the game model for him, and although I actually really enjoyed the LEGO Batman movie, I would say that is an already established stage in his timeline. Call me greedy, but I think any set(s) of Clayface should showcase his slow transformation into mudmonster form and how the more he uses the cream, the worse it gets. Going from regular actor, to accident, to beginning of his abilities, to regular sized monster (game model) to big monster (LEGO Batman movie, although possibly a different model type) I'm very passionate about this character, I have been waiting for more Clayface content since I was below ten years old lmao.
I’ve been saying it should be the Court of Owls. They’ll test Bruce’s ability to be Bruce Wayne, and reveal that the Wayne’s were backed by The Court of Owls along with their whole lineage for generations. Forcing Bruce out of the shadows and try to get Gotham back on its feet after the floods. Plus, a real formidable opponent in Talon for Batman
Nahhh should be the 3 after ending crime (like crime could be impulse by the Court i Guess) For me they should use any Story in the secuel like Two Faces, a mafia War, Mr FREEZE I personally i would LOVE to see Deacon Blackfire !
Only watched a bit so far but hush is a great shout. Would also love to see serial killers like mad hatter and calendar man make an appearance as I think they deserve live action appearances
I think what they do for now is that they should only have the joker in Arkham at least for now, and when people think it’s time for him to shine, he can escape or something
My dream pick would be Mr. Pyg, altough that may be to soon since he is sort of similar to the first movies riddler. But i would also love to delve into the court of owls.
the court of owls is a concept that parallels with the Pattinson's batman and his family, and now that the city is flooded, the control of the city can be disputed by the court
I want to see a duo of villains, those being Anarky and Firefly. Both are super underrated but would work really well with the No Mans Land/ destroyed Gotham that was set up in the first movie. I think they would work really well together with firefly being the physical challenge while Anarky is the mastermind/big boss. Both have a great contrast to Batman as he embodies Law and Order, while Anarky is the exact opposite. Firefly is a great mirror to Bruces obsession and how this obsession could end up destroying him.
I love that the first movie’s ending gives the opportunity to bring any Batman’s villain and the integration of any of them feeling natural because of the context, literally anyone could fit in the story.
Really well done video man! Fantastic points for each villain. Personally, I'd want either Mr. Freeze or Scarecrow. Your points for Freeze would be perfect, and for Scarecrow, Crane could be like he was in the comics; a psychiatrist who specializes in fear-inducing gases who is trying to get back at the people who pushed him away from his normal life by making them live their greatest fears. This could also force Bruce to confront his own inner demons and really explore the mental side of Batman.
Scarecrow still feels so underutilized and would be a great choice for this universe, especially when Bruce is still so young and scared so I absolutely respect that choice
Honestly Mr Freeze would be great. And maybe killer moth but cool (since he's a lawyer for bad guys, he can be like a batman for the villains. They need him to stop Freeze due to what he is doing messing up business and he needs to work with bats, a strained partnership) Honestly third movie needs Scarcrow and killer croc working together. I feel the fear toxin amd croc would work super well
I vote clayface. I think the morphing body would be sweet for how detective driven the first movie was. Plus it’s a good start into super powered villains.
Mr. Freeze, and Clay Face can give you Oscar worthy performance storylines. Batman’s villains are also a reflections of Batman’s flaws and facing those villains make him learn and improve himself.
I want hush as the main villain and clayface as a secondary villain with them working together. Clayface can be the one who helps hush make his face look like Bruce Wayne. Thomas Elliot can reveal that his family had connections to the court of owls, setting them up for the third movie
Matt Reeves said that he wants The Batman 2 to take place during winter, so this basically confirms that Mister Freeze will be the main antagonist for the sequel.
Professor Pyg is too ridiculous, even if his villainous actions are not. I remember seeing him wearing his Disney-like mask on the front cover of a comic, and both laughing and cringing.
Following the darker characters: Mad Hatter. He could introduce less realistic villains and still act similar to the Riddler as a villain, being distant and dark.
I definitely think we need (at some point) Scarecrow in The Batman universe. He makes logical sense as his fear toxin is a much more grounded weapon than many others from used by members of Batman's rogues gallery. Scarecrow from the Dark Knight trilogy, though a good performance, is a huge let-down to the character as he is just a weapon used by Ra's al Ghul.
When I first saw the Batman I immediately thought that the penguin used to work with the scarecrow, and that the he would try to take over the penguins business with the drop. Now with the penguin series coming I hope that he has at least a mention of some kind.
I would love to have poison ivy as she has very reasonable motivations like magneto protecting the earth and plants from greedy business men but go's about it the wrong way then we can have her meet Bruce Wayne and realize not everyone with power are out to destroy the planet
With the city flooded, killer croc would be a very intimidating villain, stopping the city from being rebuilt or something like that and Batman having to fight him in his own environment. But I’m like 99% sure that hush was confirmed to be the next villain
I hope we get to see Killer Croc, Man-Bat and Killer Moth. Killer Croc would make sense with the flooded city and Man-Bat and Killer Moth are long overdue for a proper silver screen representation. However, I would love to see Clayface as the main villain, who himself needs much more attention.
I'm hoping the sequel leans more into the supernatural elements of the Batman mythos. Give us a fantastical villain along the lines of Scarecrow, Clayface, Manbat, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, etc. My vote would be for Clayface because he's never been depicted onscreen before in live action, and I think you could go with a semi-grounded "master of disguise" spin with him
If mr freeze is the villain they should bring back catwoman I feel like the story should be about what love can do to a person and seeing batman and catwoman growing their relationship even more is probably a must see for me
I want mr freeze, with the city flooded, and winter coming, i'd love some frozen streets with a catwoman ice-skating... and mr freeze using the frozen water to his advantage
I remember reading somewhere that Scarecrow, Clayface and Professor Pyg are all up for potential solo movies, so if not that, then the 3 are some potential candidates for villains in the future of the Reeves Batman Universe
Your Hush and HiTop films Mr Freeze pitches have a lot of crossover in the effort to make the character of Bruce the focus of the next film and as I watch more of these fan prompts it is the thing I want to see more and more.
I personally think Black Mask would make the perfect villain for a grounded Batman story like what Reeves is going for. We've never seen him in live action so I think he would be a good choice.
If they are going to go with Mr. Freeze, I think it would be a lot more grounded if instead of a specially made suit, Freeze would be psychologically and emotionally cold.
Scarecrow would fit perfectly in this universe, as long as they use him correctly (unlike Nolan). Because this universe is already so dark and fear is such an emphasis on the first movie, a scarecrow sequel could end up being a psychological horror movie
I personally would love to see Black Mask or Clayface in the next Batman as they have never been in a live action Batman film, granted that clafaces cgi will be good

isnt that prometheus?
@@gornthelizardkingofplanete2031 It’s from Batman Special #1 from 1984. It’s a very good comic.
@@The360Nate ur right they have similar origins tho
Very interesting idea
Top choice for me: Mr. Freeze.
1. Great and reliable motivations
2. Complex morality
3. Presents an opportunity for interesting creative fight scenes
4. Would be an awesome redemption the audience would want to see
5. Fits perfectly with the themes of corruption and greed established in the first movie (as he is betrayed by a businessman, a perfect opportunity for either complex political and social subtex or cheap political jabs at a system the writer doesn't begin to understand, depends on who would write it)
Ok this idea goes insanely hard
yo umma need your take on the victor freeze or two-face, this slaps
I actually want scarecrow and mad hatter As a duo
But for mad hatter I would make him as a MK ultra /heavens gate cult leader type with him having his own Cryptic show and there are people going missing around Gotham and they all appear on his show and he talks about wonderland coming. wonderland being scarecrows plan to destroy Gotham
Am i the only one who thinks professor pyg would be perfect in this universe?
no cause fr
The Killer Moth should be the next Villain.
You mean Charaxes?

i really really want ivy to be the villain in a movie down the line. she is one of my favorite villains and she's long due for a proper live action adaptation not just reducing to her seduction powers
Ivy could easily carry a movie as the solo villain so I hope we get her, if Reeves doesn’t wanna go supernatural she would be perfect for Brave and the Bold
The ‘Bat-chelor’😂😂 Brilliant!
I honestly wrote the entire video around this pun
@@WholeShebangYT u sir deserve an award
It's from Lego movie
Dude. The way you described the 'Hush' villain/ storyline - I really hope it's that one for the sequel.
I wouldn’t mind a Hush diversion at all tbh especially bc of how obvious that twist is
Immediately smashed that like button at “here’s the thing”
Some villains that would be cool in live action imo would be
Mad Hatter
Clayface
Mr. Freeze
Scarecrow
Hugo Strange
Poison Ivy
Court of owls
Ventriloquist
it would be nice to see Scarecrow or Twoface done properly
"The Batman" movies want to be grounded and realistic, so we won't be getting any meta humans, which is unfortunate because I want to see Clayface, Killer Croc, and Man Bat in a multi million dollar Batman movie.
The idea of a detective whodunit story where the murderer is a shapeshifter is fucking genius.
On the joker, I saw something a while back where the joker could have a Hannibal lecter like role, where Batman goes to the joker for help in catching whoever the main villain is. And the movie ends with him getting out of prison and sets him up as the villain of part 3
I do love the idea of him being a Hannibal type character and hope that’s the extent of it
Thats cool
Killer croc while the city is flooded I think is the perfect time for a debut
Okay hear me out….
@@Mr.TwoFaceGuy 👀
I like the detective mystery of the first movie, so I think a good way to do it is have the joker serve almost as a hannibal lector "psychotic expert" to help batman track down a worse killer. It'd be more intimate and , with less theatric motivation. The beaurocracy of the city could also be impeding batman, with lawyers like harvey dent potentially being set up as bought and sold by the penguin. The killer could also be someone less obvious like clayface, maybe not as a big goop monster but as a disfigured maniac
Tbh I’d love black mask, with Falcone recently taken down and Gotham in disrepair he’d step in
11:25 This has just brought back memories of the original Batman video game.
Going from regular actor, to accident, to beginning of his abilities, to regular sized monster (game model) to big monster (LEGO Batman movie, although possibly a different model type)
I'm very passionate about this character, I have been waiting for more Clayface content since I was below ten years old lmao.
Give me Scarecrow, I want to be scared
I’ve been saying it should be the Court of Owls. They’ll test Bruce’s ability to be Bruce Wayne, and reveal that the Wayne’s were backed by The Court of Owls along with their whole lineage for generations. Forcing Bruce out of the shadows and try to get Gotham back on its feet after the floods. Plus, a real formidable opponent in Talon for Batman
Nahhh should be the 3 after ending crime (like crime could be impulse by the Court i Guess)
For me they should use any Story in the secuel like Two Faces, a mafia War, Mr FREEZE
I personally i would LOVE to see Deacon Blackfire !
Or have him as a background menace, but not the actual focus of the story
@@BigJonB36 yeah that’s what I mean
The most villainous of his rouges gallery, the most evil man alive
Kite man
My dream pick would be Mr. Pyg, altough that may be to soon since he is sort of similar to the first movies riddler. But i would also love to delve into the court of owls.
I think it should be Professor Pyg
That is the only right answer him as a side villain.
Is that an actual villain? Sounds like a joke
@@officialthomasjames Yes, play Arkham knight. You’ll find him.
@@officialthomasjames ironically one of the more grounded villains.
No he's actually a good villain. And a complete psychopath
Hush and the whole identity theft would be amazing
the court of owls is a concept that parallels with the Pattinson's batman and his family, and now that the city is flooded, the control of the city can be disputed by the court
My top choice is Hush. He would make for a great villain and could cause some real havoc stealing Wayne’s identity
Really love that idea and the thematic significance they have!
I want a scarecrow that’s different from the cillian scarecrow. Something that’s not just a dude with a bag over his head yk?
for me i’d love to see either scarecrow or scarface/the ventriloquist in the sequel and then joker in the 3rd one.
Ventriloquist is a fantastic shout
I'd like to see Two-face and Scarecrow again. They'd fit in SO WELL in this universe.
Honestly Mr Freeze would be great. And maybe killer moth but cool (since he's a lawyer for bad guys, he can be like a batman for the villains. They need him to stop Freeze due to what he is doing messing up business and he needs to work with bats, a strained partnership)
Honestly third movie needs Scarcrow and killer croc working together. I feel the fear toxin amd croc would work super well
I vote clayface. I think the morphing body would be sweet for how detective driven the first movie was. Plus it’s a good start into super powered villains.
We MUST have Hush. He is the perfect villain for this!
Dude I got like 3 minutes into this and asked why you aren’t a big acc love the content imma binge real quick
No. Not the Joker. Or Harley. Stay away please.
I'd like Lady Shiva, King Snake and / or Killer Croc please.
Hush eventually
Mad hatter would be a good choice for a villain for this series.
Unpopular opionion but I think Firefly is really underused and would make a great villain
I’m still mad they cancelled Batgirl just bc I wanted more Firefly adaptions
Matt Reeves said that he wants The Batman 2 to take place during winter, so this basically confirms that Mister Freeze will be the main antagonist for the sequel.
Fantastic video
- Scarface and Ventriloquist
- Jim Gordon Junior
- Scarecrow
- Professor Pyg
- Poison Ivy
Who I want to see^
I want Black Mask personally
the penguin already the best running series out rn
They should get Mad Hatter to be the main villan.
HuGo
a Dark and Gritty version of Kite Man would be amazing lol.
the mad hatter played by jackie earle haley
Reeves should put Dev Patel and his sad eyes in a fishbowl helmet and observe incredible cinema
I say we should do Freeze then Clayface so Freese can be the bridge
I would love to see Professor Pyg. With this new Batman series with a darker and more grounded tone, Professor Pyg would be absolutely sick.
I wanna see Scarecrow, Hush, Mr.Freeze and Pyg in the big screen :)
I think pyg wouldn't work as a main villain
Professor Pyg is too ridiculous, even if his villainous actions are not. I remember seeing him wearing his Disney-like mask on the front cover of a comic, and both laughing and cringing.
Hush would take some serious effort and setup for other villains if you wanted to do it right.
Following the darker characters: Mad Hatter. He could introduce less realistic villains and still act similar to the Riddler as a villain, being distant and dark.
I want scarecrow to be the main villain more than anything!
Walton Goggins I think would be amazing as Scarecrow!!! I'd have Matt Reeves's Scarecrow as a American from The South
I really hope it's someone like Scarecrow or something especially if it's something like the Arkham versions of the character.
I think we def need scarecrow too, I only didn’t pitch him bc we saw him relatively recently but he needs to be done justice in Reeves’ universe
@@WholeShebangYT True.
When I first saw the Batman I immediately thought that the penguin used to work with the scarecrow, and that the he would try to take over the penguins business with the drop. Now with the penguin series coming I hope that he has at least a mention of some kind.
Clayface is the best batman villian tbh
Two Face....The Riddler obviously needs to go to court for his murders from the first movie along with The Penguin and his crime syndicate
I would love to have poison ivy as she has very reasonable motivations like magneto protecting the earth and plants from greedy business men but go's about it the wrong way then we can have her meet Bruce Wayne and realize not everyone with power are out to destroy the planet
Poison Ivy needs to be done justice! She’s so cool I’d love to see her adapted right
With the city flooded, killer croc would be a very intimidating villain, stopping the city from being rebuilt or something like that and Batman having to fight him in his own environment. But I’m like 99% sure that hush was confirmed to be the next villain
I’d love The Batman movies to end with the court of owls and hush
Phantasm
Hush
@@slopeboix2589 no
I hope for the penguin they follow the Telltale Series narrative and show more interactions between penguin and bruce wayne
My vote would be for Clayface because he's never been depicted onscreen before in live action, and I think you could go with a semi-grounded "master of disguise" spin with him
If mr freeze is the villain they should bring back catwoman I feel like the story should be about what love can do to a person and seeing batman and catwoman growing their relationship even more is probably a must see for me
I think black mask would make a great addition because he is another tactically minded villain, who would really be able to put Bruce on his back heel
You had me hooked at the batchular that’s hilarious
I personally think Black Mask would make the perfect villain for a grounded Batman story like what Reeves is going for. We've never seen him in live action so I think he would be a good choice.
If they are going to go with Mr. Freeze, I think it would be a lot more grounded if instead of a specially made suit, Freeze would be psychologically and emotionally cold.
Scarecrow would fit perfectly in this universe, as long as they use him correctly (unlike Nolan). Because this universe is already so dark and fear is such an emphasis on the first movie, a scarecrow sequel could end up being a psychological horror movie
I personally would love to see Black Mask or Clayface in the next Batman as they have never been in a live action Batman film, granted that clafaces cgi will be good
It HAS to be Scarecrow, the darker, twisted world that The Batman is set in is just screaming for a fear based villain
