Thank you sir! I will give it try. I broke an o2 socket myself and decided to leave it alone. After watching a few videos and yours, I am ready to give it another try. Another video that I watched mentioned how you can brake the sensor until only the stump remains. Then you can place a regular socket on it. The name of the video is "stuck oxygen sensor removal" by "ernest1" As you know, you need to remove that sensor to make the check engine light go away. If you work on other people's cars and become a specialist at removing stuck oxygen sensors, you will be busy because every month is inspection month. Thanks again for the video. I will be your first subscriber.
Thanks my brother. I used the vise grips and my mini sledge. Just 5 hits and it came free. Mini sledge I got for 11 bucks at Harbor Freight is awesome.
Thank you this worked perfect after trying sockets and o2 tool and open and wrenches left the o2 looking like my dog chewed on it. 2 trys and I had the grips on right and just small taps with the hammer and it loosened right up.
How High did you have to lift the vehicle off the ground . I did this with a close end 7/8ths wrench and It didn't work. I only had about a foot of clearance for space to swing the hammer. I'm thanking of perhaps buying a bigger jack so I can comfortably swing at it
if it is severely rusted in, and heat, oil, and persuasion are not working, ...( Like mine showed me last night ) I'm going to try acetone and trans. mix with heat, and some more elbow grease.....if that don't work on the little bugger, .. I'm gonna either snap it off, .. of grab a torch !
How about the front ones? Lol i tried everything you basically said to get the one out on the driver's side. Them sockets for 02 sensors i wasted $34 off amazon they basically strupped it out quick... then i broke the top of the sensor off to pound a smaller regular socket on and i kicked the breaker bar i stood on it i heated the exhaust up and splashed cold water on the sensor. Its beyond stripped and fked shops want around $700 to fix the exhaust system lol its a $300 truck. The grips dont give yah enough room to grab onto it up in there and turn it out or let alone hammer.
乙乇尺ㄖ yes. It came off after many attempts. Finally had to drill a hole thru the floor of the van to get a better angle. But yes it worked along with all the other things
this does work getting the 02 sensor out but watch out. I did this with my ford ranger and ended up stripping the thread in the whole. had to use a thread chaser to fix that.

Thanks man! I tried everything on the O2 sensor on my 84 Porsche 911 until I tried this and it came right out. Brilliant tip - thanks again!!
Thx No problem...
You are the man. After 2 trips to autozone for 2 different sockets and 1 to menards for a wrench, (all which i didn't use) this worked great. Thanks!
No problem bro glad it work out for you...

I actually use the same method earlier today except for started ripping the exhaust time to do some welding
I feel so bad laughing 😂 at this how did it go bro
Bought a oxygen sensor replacement it's around $50 the clamps that come with it are junk so we use exhaust clamps👍

Haha you are a lucky one because I’ve tried everything. That soab is stuck
Make sure u sprayed on it real good!!!
a dawg duverna I’ve been spraying Pb blaster on it multiple times a day for over two weeks
I’ve torched it many many times. Now just waiting for a 22mm bolt extractor
If that don’t work you’ll have to use heat!!!

Pipe wrench + penetrate oil + warm the engine+ extension pipe or hammer will do the trick .
