Thank you so much! Hopefully it gives people motivation to just go for it because sometimes done is better than perfect so they can be out and on display!

So excited you're joining in on my birthday sal. Don't worry - no official start until July 1. My birthday is the 16th, but anytime in July is good! And your wip for it is so pretty! Glad you're enjoying the Hathaway Stitchers, too!

Thank you for sharing your taxidermy collection! I am here for it. Being from west Texas, that jackalope is really doin it for me and I understand fully about the AC stress! That is no joke !! We have a local hockey team that are the Odessa Jackalopes. I am a meat scientist and we eat off our land I think it is important to honor the animals that provide for us. I am now looking to see if there is a taxidermy class we can take for our anniversary. Your comment about being hit by a car after the taxidermy was complete. I almost spit my coffee all over the screen!!! I love your collection of unique and and meaningfull items!

Thank you so much!! I highly recommend the class we took at the Oddities and Curiosities expo! There are usually 2 shows in Texas in March, one in Dallas and one in Houston, but not sure how far that is for you. It's a little expensive but it's an 8 hr class with all materials provided and the people who do it are amazing! They're The Sleeping Sirens on Instagram if you want to check them out. But of course you might be able to find something local to you! I know in Denver there's a place called the Terrorium that has all sorts of kooky stuff and offers classes on building terrariums. So hopefully you can find something fun and unique!

Aww thank you! I was pretty worried that it would be super weird, so I'm glad you didn't mind it! 🥰

Fun stitching. Love that shawl you are working on. If you can knit that shawl, you can knit a sweater. My knitting project at the moment is Hana by Junko Okamoto, a fun cable sweater project. My cross stitch WIPs are too numerous to list 😂. Have fun at your retreat and I hope you get to meet the Hathaway Stitchers. Thanks for the book suggestions. Also don’t worry about “weirdness”, we’re all weird. I say “normal” is vastly overrated and very stifling.

Thank you so much for watching and embracing the weird with me 🥰!
I am super happy with the skills I've learned with this shawl so hopefully I get the courage to start a sweater relatively soon! Cables definitely sound fun but also intimidating lol. Thank you for the encouragement!
