Rush is a unique band, and one of a kind. May Neil Peart rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️🇨🇦
Unique means one of a kind. :-) But I get what you're saying. There will never be another trio like it.
@@danmar007 You are correct. Cheers! ✌️
Gotta get me some of that “Rush” Beer
Not sure if it’s available in the USA yet
@@danmar007 Rush is a very one of a kind band.
"The Greatest Band In The Galaxy!" - whoever made that banner in the classic EST concert video nailed it!
Also any parallel universe(s) ;-)
If you look at the arena that's the Montreal Forum in all its glory....so many hundreds of good shows took place there - several. several Rush shows ... amen
Rush is and will always be my favorite band. 💓 So talented and unique. Moving pictures changed my life.
They just rock! Love you guys!, RIP Neil.
Moving Pictures was one of my first ever LP's that I purchased and remember taking my bike to the record store to get all the Rush albums I could find thereafter. Big part of my music life for sure.
@@jamesh5460
Such a diverse album, you had your commercial hits like limelight and Tom Sawyer. Then you had even better stuff (imo) like YYZ and The Camera eye.
But I can't say there's a song in it that I don't love, because Red Barchetta is amazing, as is Witch Hunt. And then you have something completely different taking you out in Vtal Signs.- Just brilliant.
Love the older stuff too, Hemispheres is a favorite too. 2112, Signals, Permanent Waves..... Hold your fire is my least fav but I still in general like it. Not a bad one in the catalog.
It was 2112 in the 70s for me, my brother turned me on to them.
Grace Under Pressure for me. I personally love the 80s Rush, but I love it all just as much
What you said is the same for me absolutely gutted Neil has left us 😞
The smallest three-piece symphony on the planet we all miss you all.
I feel blessed to have been able to see them seven times, including their last tour. There are some perks to being a relatively old dude
You certainly have a lot of great memories of seeing an incredible band. Awesome! Cheers! ✌️
I never got to see them live. The time I could have I had no money, and it pains me to this day to have missed them!
Im turning 66 this year. I throw some Rush on and Boom... I feel 20 again 👍✌
I saw them in '75, '83 and '94 ...and will never forget !
@@ricardomauricioaraya7625 Sorry to hear that! I’ve been in that boat many times, I couldn’t afford to see Pink Floyd or Bowie or a lot of other bands I love when they came to town. Concerts are way too expensive these days. I remember when I saw KISS in 1977, tickets were all general admission (festival seating) and they cost $6.50!
got to take my son on their last tour for the 1st and last time. thank god we had that awesome father/son experience before they stopped touring.
There is no band like Rush. Amazing
All 3 of them are “Masters of their Craft”
and all of this from three guys that considered themselves “nerds” in high school.
Thank You guys for the many, many Great Times and Memories.
May God Bless
RIP Neil!!!
Their music was for players and for people to appreciate the lyrics. Everything thought out so skillfully, no wimpy, cheesy and obvious tunes about chicks and getting laid or the usual mindless drivel. They gave us something to really listen to and think about
Even though I started to cry while watching this trailer, there's no doubt I'll go see this. 41 years after a friend first turned me on to Rush and I still can't get enough.
To see Neil playing so strongly and then he is gone..weird..just a weird time we live in.
I had RUSH Tattooed on my Heart and Soul in April of 1975....they became Family the first time I heard Geddy scream YEAH OOOOOHHHHH YEAH ! My Kids and Grandkids are ALL RUSHED....and this knucklehead couldn't be anymore Prouder of this Life Achievement! Cheers To The Band That Made Us Stand And Sing Along With Them! Cheers From Ohio
Seeing them play on the clockwork Angels and R40 tours were the two most amazing nights of my life, as a long time rush fan I'll never forget the experience.
Oh man, the Clockwork Angels concert was brilliant as f*** . Possibly the best Rush show ever
Wow how great Neil Peart was. One of those who just by listening a few seconds, we see how especial he was. All about the music and for the music. RIP Neil Peart 😔

I'm blessed to live in Rush era....
oh man, only 1 night and it's the same night I'm seeing Primus play Farewell to Kings

Rush movie is going to happen each year I believe. Go to Primus.
Became a big fan of Rush around the time Neil died. Sadly I never got to see them live, so I'm really excited for this to come out in theatres!
You will experience the best concert ever -- even tho it's a movie, watching those 3 guys will raise the hairs on your arms and the back of your neck with excitement, I saw them live in the early 80's and been a fan ever since!'
Huge fan here since Moving Pictures in 1981 saw them live three times. Magical. Learned all of Neils drum parts (in a Rush cover band)…so glad you found them! 💥
Better late than never!
Just got my tickets for Plainfield Indiana can't wait to see the Professor and the boys on the big screen

RIP Neil Peart, drummer, lyricist, musical visionary.
And Author, too!!!😥😢
The shows I have seen - 2112, A Farewell to Kings, Moving Pictures, Grace Under Pressure, Power Windows, Roll the Bones, Counterparts, Test for Echo and Clockwork Angels. I have loved watching them play and consider them to be one of the most incredible bands in Rock history.
So glad I saw them. Thank you baby for a great night. Best anniversary present ever!!
We miss you Neil!
I just saw it last night and I loved it! It was like being at a live Rush concert for real!
A MUST SEE movie for fans, all never seen before footage, all done to amazing perfection in 4K🏆🏆🏆.
Glad I got to see them live on Neil's final tour. It was bittersweet to watch them literally exit stage left in this doc, the camera fading as these three musical comrades walked out of focus.
How do I like this a 1000 times...
Going tonight baby!!! So excited!
Oh man, there are concerts, and then there's a RUSH concert. There In a class by themselves, more like a religious experience!
I know what you mean.
After Rush concerts, my arms are killing me and I’m only “air-drumming”
I can only imagine what Neil must’ve felt
Alex also with arthritis it must’ve been painful to work through
Love Geddy's bass amp stack, ever reaching higher, like some hilarious competition between he and Lerxst. Would've loved to have seen the heights they could possibly have attained. Sadly, it all came to an end much too soon. RIP Neil Peart.
AMEN! I LOVE THESE GUYS SO MUCH!
Great , Rush will live forever !!
Tickets bought!
This definitely looks awesome, I’m looking forward to this
I would rather see a movie about Rush, like they did with Queen. I'm talking actors and everything re-creating it all back then. Not a documentary...we already have that. Just make sure to interview the heck out of everyone that has interacted with the trio, including the fans, to get the story told right!
I would absolutely love to see that. Rush deserves it!
I hope they decide to release this on blu-ray or dvd at some point.
They did. It’s called R40 Live. This is a cash grab rerelease.
@@polishrocker93 this does have some performances not on r40 (though one could argue that that doesn't matter since they pretty much played them them note for note each night)
Hopefully With added bonus tracks, etc
rip Rush, thx for all
One of the best concerts I've been to was seeing Rush with my dad in 2011. If my dad was alive today we go to see this cinematic experience.
Tomorrow night. Gonna be epic!
Rush is my life!!!
I almost didn't know this was happening and I just happened to be browsing Cinemark's website and saw it listed in the Events. This was so great! Smoked a little in the parking lot before I went in, definitely enhanced the experience.
Is there a list of theatres showing the "cinema strangiato" R40 on Sept 9? I can't find it at a theatre near me.
'and the meek shall inherit "MORE LIVE RUSH" '

Los pude ver en Argentina y es uno de los show que más recuerdo , ver a uno de mis grupos favoritos fue fantástico, ojalá pueda ver esta pelicula que ya es un éxito....Rush para toda la galaxia!!!!! Salve salve rocanroll!!!!!
I miss Neil,
Rush was my childhood, now I don’t recall why, but it’s there.
Same here, bud. Same here.
I want to see this at Red Rocks
With the passing of Neil Peart i almost feel like music has past within me.Ive played guitar for right around 35 years now.and have learned just about every Rush song possible. As Rush got better and more technical,I became more technical i took lessons from Mark Slaughter and in the day there band (before mark was signed used to do a cover of Limelight that was just spectacular. It seems ever musician i ever knew could give credit to Rush for someeay molding there style.I certanly did.And now i hope its not asking to muck but i REALLY HOPE Geddy and Alex continue there brand of music for all of us to continue molding so many of us.And that to me would be the biggest honor of all.To be so insightful as to mold us into great players ourselves.Im gonna miss Neil ive neve heard Anyone play the drums like him fe will truly always be "The proffesor of the drum kit'Thank you Rush for so many good times and so many good songs. You will always be 'closer to the heart"
Looking foreward to this! Greets from a norwegian fan
Looking forward to seeing this!!!!
Despite the directors cut being the same as the R40 Bluray (the last two tracks are in bonus section) the thought of having a reason to actually go to a theater eight days from now to watch this for what will probably be my 2,000th time is exciting. Count me in.
Hope I can see this one!!!
Loved every minute last night I never been to a rush show because I’m young but the movie made me feel like I was there

Pretty much the best power trio in the world. I should know because I was in a power trio...were we as good as RUSH? NFW! But we learned from them in our own way. OMG the power of their music!
Oh, and the new RUSH lager? Nice!! Just tried it.
Saw the movie on sept 9th, I’m going to miss the concerts soo much

Can't wait for this.
Best band that ever existed and its not even close.
I love Rush... but dunno about that haha
@@progger86 No one comes close in experimentation and musicianship, every record they broke new ground and did new things, you probably only know 4 or 5 records. I know every one and saw them 11 times, Neil Peart is the greatest lyricist and percussionist who ever lived and the other guys are just as good. Simple as that. Their 40 year career and dozens of records stands by itself, no one died from getting wasted, no breaking up after 10 years, they stuck together and did it right and sold out stadiums all over the world for decades and did what they wanted musically every time. Unlike any other band, except Maiden for longevity and sticking together.
@@barton_dean39 lol... music isnt a competition dude.. chill, but ya.. theres a lot of good stuff out there ;)
@@barton_dean39 Or... you know, U2 who have been together this entire time without a lineup change, nobody died, etc. They formed in 78... just 4 years after Rush as we know it finalized their lineup. Giving equal songwriting credit is the secret to holding a band together over the years, no matter what. Other things can get in the way, sure, but that is a minimum to keep it from fracturing in most cases.
It is also extreme bullshit to hold "no one died from getting wasted" as an example of a way to ding a band as if everyone else in the band chose for that person to fucking die. People die, one way or another. your arbitrary standards are bullshit, dude. Fuck off.
Oh this is great. It's so heartwarming to see something from Rush. Neil Peart you are still very truly missed.
Rush is/was like a gift from the universe for Gen-X. I'm not saying we own them or anything, and certainly current and future generations will love this music for all time. I'm just saying we were the ones lucky enough to be around to see them live and share this planet with them. I can never express in words how much this band, and these three gentlemen, have shaped and impacted my life. I'm choking up just writing this. I don't believe in god, and yet somehow, I still believe god called Neil home to prepare the stage for a future epic concert in heaven. And when they play...the angels will weep.
Many 'Boomers' as well, of course. I'm 60, Class of '79, and RUSH was HUGE in my Northern New Jersey high school. I remember seeing the 2112 Tour at The Capitol Theater in Passaic, NJ, and listening to 'A Farewell To Kings' and 'Hemispheres' with my friends. Then of course, during my college years in the 80's, RUSH became 'gods', with 'Permanent Waves' and 'Moving Pictures' propelling them to the forefront of rock! That's when they started getting endless airplay on major market rock stations!
Man do i miss seeing this band perform live 🤘🤘🤘

Going to be my first time seeing them (somewhat) live. Wish me luck!
Same. Just came back from the theater. Blew me away.
I hope that this gets released someplace since I missed :(

Seen it the last time it was on the big screen. It was Friggin awesome! I will be there again. I feel a cold, Flu, headache, toothache, covid-ache or what ever it takes to call in sick to work that night. Hope to see you guys there!!
I missed seeing this. When will it be available on DVD or streaming? Please already.
Not gonna argue my Rush cred; but IMO they were not at top form in R40.
While the set list was more limited in scope, the performance at the Clockwork Angels tour was flawless (at least where I saw it). I'm so grateful to have been there. I bought tickets with decent floor seats for all my brothers and we took our wives to a nice dinner beforehand at a great restaurant. It was a magical night. I was initially a little bummed when they announced R40 the next year (because I couldn't afford going to both), but after seeing the video of R40, was glad to have gone to C.A. instead.
Don't think I'll go to this, but maybe.
This is just a cash grab rerelease of R40, so don’t bother seeing it if you have the concert film.
