Beautiful! I was really taken with how Stefanie's patterns on the board are so in line with her - seamlessly congruent. I can see how getting your palette done could be emotional as it's saying this is you, uniquely different from everyone else on the earth. I love that. Thank you both for sharing your journey.
Hello Dory, I to have been in search of my accurate colors. I have tried Style Yourself Confident with Pamela ,Jen Thoden system, and Carol Turtles system ( and I agree about that one with you) . I have found that Style Yourself Confident was the most accurate for me. I would love to have mine painted. I am so happy you have finally found your true pallet. Be blessed.
Dory, thanks for that explanation. I understood from the previous video but the term "winter" threw me. This system is basically like the one I was trained in, using skin tone. The artistic mixing of colors to reveal the skin tone is really interesting. It makes a lot of sense. I'm an artist so I completely get it. I would have pegged you as a spring and pretty Stephanie as a light autumn. Many of the colors in her palette are in my autumn colors. Both are "warm" If you study art books on color you will find that all colors are either warm or cool. Very few true neutrals. They all lean one way or the other. Color is fascinating. It can even add weight!! Enjoy your colors.
My understanding is that a "winter" is comprised of cool undertone colors. If that applies to Stephanie's palette then some of her colors are wrong as they have warm undertones.
Penelope Lambson The Caygill system does not go by warm or cool. Caygill was the originator of the idea of seasonal color analysis and did not break people down into warm or cool traits. She looked exclusively at pigments in the skin to determine season. Stephanie's season was based on the pigment of her skin and the fact that black was added to all of her colors, which for Suzanne indicated a winter season.
Lori Walter Thank you. :) I can wear them if I choose to, but I know now that they are not my best colors. Although the clear reds can work, they are a bit heavy for me. :)
I understand.. but we are all individual in our personal preferences. Also, one could argue that the skins reaction to the sun is natural and therefore the color that results from that interaction is natural. Stephanie cannot go into the sun because she burns very quickly. I am married to a man who can get a sunburn in the shade... But there are those of us who love the sun, and the skin tone that nature provides as a result.

Donna Leann Christ Thanks! And I agree with you. Style yourself confident was the most accurate for me as well before I had this palette done. :)

Penelope Lambson Interesting! Which system were you trained in? It doesn't sound like it's one of the ones I have looked at. :)

So, you can't wear black or red anymore? In past videos, you wore those well.

Stephanie Has beautiful pale skin i don't like tanned skin. Yes, I even hate it because it's not the natural skin color. My skin color is real
