Totally agree. I think I cannot also recall in any place in any movie like this scene. Where I love you words means so much. All life lessons in just three words. Such unimaginably great
I agree with the star wars one that´s deep too but pal this one... I come over and over to watch it and still get the same goosebumps as it was the first time...
***** I don't remember him actually saying the words "I love you" to them, though I'm sure he did behind the scenes. My post was about lines he said on camera :)
Of course he said it! Remember when Ragnar first slept with Aslaug 1x9, Bjorn's angry with his dad, Ragnar promised won't do it again and said "i love you"; when he's going overseas he said goodbye to his kids and "i love you" to ubbe 2x2; He's playing with the kids then Aslaug asked him if he loved Ivar he said "of course i love him" then she asked if he loved her too, he didn't answer 3x1. There you go. He loved his sons so much :')
ninan you are truly right 👉 ...he also said I love you to Rollo his brother and he was broken when Rollo betrayed him.. he said "I loved you brother, when everyone wants you dead I kept you alive and this is how you repay me after loving you..
I swear to GOD I cried in this scene....its the culmination of their entire journeys. Flioki helped Ragnar rise, and was the only one Ragnar could ever trust. Ragnar sought trust from Rollo...and friendship from Athelstan but it was Flioki who he could trust everything with. Flioki always had faith Ragnar would rise to the very top, and when Ragnar did, Flioki just wanted his ''old friend'' back and wanted some acknowledgement. He always felt his friend Ragnar was gone and King Ragnar replaced his friend, that's why he went extreme with his belief in the GODS, because he wanted something to adhere to. Sure, Flioki did betray Ragnars trust by murdering Athelstan, but Ragnar got back at him by arresting and punishing him. But you could see they still love and value each other as friends, when Ragnar rescues Flioki, and Flioki never even thinks of killing Ragnar, This scene sums up their journey as men together, and says again that Flioki is the brother Ragnar never had and should have had.
Saintsinnz he still believes in the gods at the time of his death, but in the scene with the seer he proves to himself that he made the choices that guided his life, not the gods deciding fate for him
Reuben EP no he didnt believe in the gods existence at the time of his death. But eckbert told him that even if you dont believe in the gods existence your people need to. So what he said at the time of his death wasnt his true beliefs, just so his people would continue believing and not give up hope. Ragnar even said that Valhalla and heaven were ridiculous. He only told that to the seer because the seer told him the gods set our fate, so he killed himself the way he wanted to show the seer that he guided his own fate, not the gods. But despite not believing in them, it was implied that he went to Valhalla when Odin came to kattegat.
Reuben EP ps. He literally told the seer "I dont believe in the gods existence. The gods are mans creation to give answers they are too afraid to give themselves". Lol
Yep, Ragnar's final speech was symbolic, he didn't believe in the Norse gods or was at the very MOST agnostic about the existence of gods. He said those things both to strike fear in the onlookers and encourage revenge for his death, not because he believed it.
I always hate Floki after Athlestan death , that´s shows how amazing is the actor behind the character. After this scene I started to love him as if I had forgive him as Ragnar did.
One of the most heartfelt scenes I've witnessed in any tv series. And I feel that way about each of the scenes in which Ragnar says his goodbyes to the people in his life before embarking on his suicide mission. Plus Travis Fimmel played Ragnar so well that it's tough to imagine anyone else better for that role.
when he talks to bjorn and asks him, who told you that you should be happy?, then when he hallucinates and sees laguerta, bjor and his family, and now saying goodbye to floki and telling him that he loves him and he reacts like this !! It just moves the emotional fibers and a couple of tears I let out!!!
I hated floki for killing athlesthan and their relationship is not the bond ragnar shared with athlesthan, but omg how I cried with this scene. the feels! poor both of them, and how incredible that ragnar told him that in the end
I say this to my closest mate once in a while and he always says the same always with no weirdness involved. Us Scandinavian men are like this, the bond between us friends is cherished always, no homosexuality involved as much as the subversives from both the left and right like to tell you. Tell your best friend that you love him boys, he needs it. Saying I love you to your brother is not gay, I can't believe I even have to say this.
This is the most powerful "I love you" in the movie history
Totally agree. I think I cannot also recall in any place in any movie like this scene. Where I love you words means so much. All life lessons in just three words. Such unimaginably great
Nah Obi wan to Anakin on mustafar is more iconic but this is legendary
100000% fuckin agree
I agree with the star wars one that´s deep too but pal this one... I come over and over to watch it and still get the same goosebumps as it was the first time...
Ragnar: take care of my family
Floki: Goes to Iceland
Vetonn Is lmmmaaaoo 😂😂😂😂
this comment is so underrated
He did, however his wife died and he was crushed.
Floki did what any sensible person would do in that situation.
I mean yeah😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
The actor that plays Floki is just amazing, perfect for the role.
The entire Skarsgård family are good actors, lol.
His real voice is a fuking mind fuck
The guys Canadian like me
ehhh no
He is Swedish, like me.
Floki deserved to be loved by ragnar.. he wanted to hear that his whole life.. best scene.
I like more the last words scene where Floki says "I hate you Ragnar Lothbrok and i love you with all my heart"
Epic bromance.
abdou salem bromance, ya. Romance... That's athelstan and Ragnar 100%
no that was a bromance to
Athelstan still not better than floki
Where men cried
More like "when the whole word cried"
3 words that made Floki's life complete
Floki and Athelstan: the only two people Ragnar has ever said "I love you" to 😂
Adults.. yes, because he also said it to Bjorn, Ubbe and Ivar when they were little. He truy loved his sons, they were the most important to him.
***** I don't remember him actually saying the words "I love you" to them, though I'm sure he did behind the scenes. My post was about lines he said on camera :)
Of course he said it! And his first wife, and all his children

This long and only 32 likes?! Cmon people!
Your right and how the culmination of eveyrhing makes my heart hurt!
Ragnar didn't want to arrest Floki, Bjorn did it by himself, Ragnar had to punish Floki after Bjorn's action
"i love you"
That broke my heart
Ragnar don’t have the heart to tell him he stopped believing in Valhalla some time ago
Saintsinnz he still believes in the gods at the time of his death, but in the scene with the seer he proves to himself that he made the choices that guided his life, not the gods deciding fate for him

just by seeing floki"s face after ragnar says i love u shows how much it meant to him right in the feels!!!!
I have always loved Floki
My favorite character indeed, He is one of the most misunderstood and sensitive characters, everything he does is for Ragnar Lothbrok
One of my favorite scenes in Vikings, Travis Fimmel and Gustav Skarsgård nailed this one, so great.
I cant imagine anyone perfectly fit for the characters of Ragnar Lothbrok and Floki than these 2 men here. One of the best series in the history. ❤️
THE FEEELS ;_____; I CRY EVERYTIME I SEE THIS
I always hate Floki after Athlestan death , that´s shows how amazing is the actor behind the character.
After this scene I started to love him as if I had forgive him as Ragnar did.
Their friendship took them across several seas and through many battles. That is a love between friends.
Ripped my heart out, used up a bunch of tissues..... two most amazing characters brought to life by two magnificent actors.
Watching this scene after knowing that this is in fact the last time Ragnar and Floki ever see each other....man....the feels.
Real men tales make real men cry. I love this show!
I fuckin bawled my eyes out after seeing Floki's reaction.
That is supreme acting. It's so good it's difficult to watch.
I love you too Ragnar Lothbrok... I love you too Ragnar... :(
The 2 OG's of Vikings

It's so sad to see Ragnar wandering dressed as a beggar :'(
Seba Contreras, it is both sad and beautiful, as it was necessary for the further strengthening of his character and spirit.
All life lessons were gathered around this most beautiful scene. A spiritual scene in a remarkable scenery
The most enigmatic, yet relatable character in all of the series. By far my favorite character. Actor did a great job.
Ragnar is really human character. He feel pain for his mistake but his heart is true
I cried so hard and still am.
I'm gonna cry like a baby ;-;

Ragnars last words to Floki
Floki really loved Ragnar, even after he wronged him.
Floki just waited he say it so ;(
Lori Suomi Hi Lori, I Love vikings too, this scene is very good!!
Ragnar loved Athelstan more, but he loved Floki too, he should say it before :(
I wish I had a best friend that I could say this too like a brother
I love this seen the chemistry Between them right here is just amazing Floki is awesome

Una de las Mejores Escenas, Se transmite la verdadera amistad entre eternos amigos.
These old hammers are just a couple of softies
Cena monstra demais!!
This was epic and the sadest moment
It's a shame they don't mention Fólkvangr in this show. Not everyone who dies in battle goes to Valhalla. Half of them go to the godess Freyja's halls
Best scene
one dislike from athelstan
Nah, Athelstan forgives
Powerful...
😻😻😻😻😻 Ragnar
Lovely
Powerful
Melhor cena
Better than any I love Yous from Nicholas Sparks movies
I love you to ragnar lothbrak❤ i love you to❤
maybe if Floki heard that sooner, he wouldn't have killed athelstan.......maybe.
Always Helga Always PD: I love you to Ragnar Lothbrok
I started changing my faith after this Odin is with us. Then I came back to reality
The last time we see them both together 😢

Ragnaroki is the only bromance that matters
I hated floki for killing athlesthan and their relationship is not the bond ragnar shared with athlesthan, but omg how I cried with this scene. the feels! poor both of them, and how incredible that ragnar told him that in the end
Luka, i will just thank you
a formidable fierce viking warrior crying at words he most wanted to hear
Floki look like young street demon
I wanda cry bro
Im here after Ubbe told Floki the same
omg that‘s the vampire diaries background music 😅

This moment hit different, only wish that Floki had not killed Athelstan
