Finally, you still keep talking about ZV E10 because I’m using it for almost 3 years. Not enough to upgrade to A7 III (second hand) 😢. Thank you so much!
I can highly recommend the Tamron 18-300mm as an alternative to the Sony 70-350. It's my default lens for every holiday except for low light situations, where I switch to the Sony 15mm F1.4 (I have an a6700, without IBIS I would get the Sony 35 F1.8). The Tamron allows me to shoot basically everything throughout the day without switching lenses.
I love my Tamron 18-300 as well. It is so versatile and in good lighting and outdoor daytime it basically allows me to shoot anything I want. I have it paired with a Sony 3.5 F1.8 on a a6400 body and it is a very strong combo.
I have a jewelry store and it is difficult for me to focus on photography products with good definition, which lens could you recommend? For a Sony a6100
OKAY QUESTION. I already own a x100v and am planning on buying another cammy. I was thinking of upgrading to a x100vi, but was thinking of getting the a6700 instead. i honestly think the only upgrade from x100v to x100vi is the megapixels, but with the a6700 I can do so much more(plus the interchangeable lens)
Looking between: Sony 18-105mm f4 Sony 18-135mm f3.5-5.6 Tamron 17-70mm f2.8 Tamron 18-300mm f3.5-6.3 I mostly do photography in the day and at night with light videography. Which do u recommend? Thks
We need a newer version of the 18-105. I have had that lens and I love that range but it’s getting outdated and it seems like they could make something with a little more quality. I don’t want the Tamron either!
There are Tamron 17-70 f2.8 VC (OSS) for a6000 series. I used it with A6400 and it's good enough for video, just build quality not that good of a Sigma but if I have A6700, I would go with Sigma 18-50mm
First off, love the channel. Your videos are easy to watch and tons of great info. I feel like in headed in the right direction with lens selection, exposing etc. But I feel like I'm missing something with export settings. Can you share any export compression settings to retain as much quality as possible? Thank you!
I also have the Tamron 17-70 and I love it. I don't really shoot videos so I don't have to really deal with the image jitters because of the focusing issue. Anyone got recommendations for a decent quality budget lens for video?
Depends on what type of content I.E. I use the 16mm and 50 mm primes for most of my Music video directing needs If you want a really great all around lens, the sigma 18-50 f2.8.. If you aren’t sure, the Sigma 18-50 f2.8 is the best.
Hey Buddy, this video is really helpful. I want to ask about Sony Alpha 6700 why it is not there in the list? I am planning to buy this but confused about lenses.
I actually like the 18-135mm. It's smaller and lighter than the 18-105 G, is optically pretty close, and well I can deal with F5.6 vs F4 for that slight range increase.
Which i wanted to choose between Sony a6600 and the Sony a6400, both priced the same. Which one is better. Considering / keeping a6600 discounting in mind. @@JasonVong Hey thanks a lot for the reply. Okay what about this Discontinuation factory while choosing a6600 does it affects the overall decision making I mean the lack of support, firmware updates, maybe maybe lack of parts availability ( if any broken ) and aftermarket sale value.😅
@@DenzelFreeman-l7f , absolutely! I love its quality both for video and for photos. If I only need one camera and one lens, it is the one that I go with. the constant f 2.8 will give you good depth. I would choose an f 2.8 without OSS over an F4 with OSS. Besides, you will have an A6700 which has IBIS! That more than compensates for it! You have the best setup that I would recommend to anyone, whether a beginner or pro. No better choice for your budget. No doubt.😊😊😊😊 Enjoy your purchase with confidence
@@ArthurMuteesasira Hey I am pretty much in the same situation, however i cannot decide between the sigma 18-50 and the tamron 17-70. Any suggestions?
@@gamer-xy1gk , I haven't used the Tamron 17-70. I guess I am a Sigma fan😊😊. Perhaps you could check out some youtube comparison videos. I have seen some, and was sold on to the Sigma 18-50

Catalyst software does not work with Sony 6xxx (under 6700) footage. I have tried (😂just in case). I am having a very good experience with the Tamron 18-300, the stabilization is not perfect but gives me usable handheld footage.
Which one is better for casual photography and videography in japan this year TTartisan 35mm f1.8 or 56mm f1.8? My camera only sony zv e10 with kits lens for now. Please i need your recommendation.
I’ve had the 56mm f1.4… it has great sharpness for portraits but its too tight for most scenarios… you can choose any lens for photography according to your usecase… 23 or 35 can be great for photography.. but for videography oss is a must on zve10… so I would recommend using the kit lens only as its versatile for casual videography and has oss for the stability required… in fact I’m also looking to get a kit lens because of its versatility in videos.
I'm surprised the Sony 11mm 1.8 prime didn't make the list for a great wide-angle low-light vlog lens! It’s wide enough for the crop with Active Stabilization on!
I did include it in my last video but you're absolutely correct that it is usable despite the crop! However, I really wanted to focus on lenses that have OSS that won't force users to crop just to get stable footage.
Kindly help me choosing a camera and lens with some basic lighting setup keeping in mind i’ll be using it mainly for filmmaking, cinematography and vfx shots (green screen etc.) and some descent photography. My Budget is INR 3 lakh or approx $3500.🙏

Sony 55-210 also has OSS
