Oh man, I miss going to Fukuoka. I was there at least twice a month last year. Walking around at night, eating at the yatai, listening to performers, shopping at Canal City Mall, watching the water fountain there, and drinking at the bars. I would always stay at the Hakata Excel Hotel Tokyu since it was only a 10 min walk from Seiryu Park.

We have been there last week in Fukuoka streetfood market, the food was ridiculous good. The atmosphere was so incredible. We miss Japan so much. I will be back!!

Would be visiting Fukuoka soon but haven't made my itinerary or did some extensive research yet. Would it be easy for a non-Japanese speaker (but I'm trying to learn some sentences) to order food at a yatai and night markets?
