I like the subtle changes to the failure scenes once Gordon is under Vort control. With G-Man's employers, it's purposely vague and corporate, since Gordon to them is only seen as much as an "intern" to whatever plan they have. However with the Vorts, since Gordon Freeman is treated with such respect, the scenes are closer to endings of fables or poems since he is so critical to their species' history
i know right? Valve was (and i hope still is) such a great developer when it comes to such detail attention.
I like how in half-life and hl2, the bad end screens show Gman’s perspective, talking about freeman as a subject with a status. But it changes in the episodes because the vortigaunts overpower gman, so the death screens use grammar like “the alyx vance” or “the freeman” because that’s how vorts speak.
Also, Barney in blue shift never is confronted by gman, so he is presumed to perish instead of saying “status” because gman is not interested in barney

In episode one there is a sort of game over that involves alyx dying when you let a big piece of rubble fall on the citadel elevator, though it is just a fade to white.

I think it is from the vortigaunt’s perspective, the beginning of ep1 shows the vorts overpowering gman, and so gman stops looking after gordon. I think they say “the alyx” or “the freeman” because that’s how vorts speak

now that I think about it, that game over has the exact same value as Alyx's death in Episode Two, so it could just as easily "overlap". When I do a normal version of this video in about five years I'll be sure to check that out.

I fumbled the Breen fight on my second playthrough and got that screen.
Next to that part before going to Xen, you forgot that one is where you must use a scientist to get to a important door before Surface Tension, and killing all 3 will prevent you from going any further. Same with the part where you must escort a security guard before, facing the Gargantua with air strikes.
I like to think G-man writes down those endings as reports for their bosses in a typewriter

to change the game languages for hl2 and it's episodes (or really any steam game that supports this) you need to do it through the game properties menu. Right click (mouse2) on a game in your library and click "Properties" then in General (It should be there already) click "Language" (It would be the second option down with the dropdown menu)
Of course I'm doing this in English and don't know what language your steam client is in. The game should update upon changing the language.
oh and at 12:28 that cut was funny asf
I just really didn’t think that the language changes through the steam settings, I’m used to the fact that in games the language changes in the settings

@@TwilCess no problem, most source and goldsrc games don't change through their settings menu and change through steam because of their integration with it.

in half life 1 you also get a game over screen if you killed the Barney that opens the door before the gargantua at the end of Surface Tension
that and the questionable ethics scientists should all trigger the same one as shown in the video

Half-Life 2:
Losing important NPC's: 12:34 - on my video it's chapter 9a (Entanglement), but i'm sure you can get this gameover with losing other important NPC's like Barney or Father Grigori, so you can also get this gameover in chapters 6 ("We Don't Go To Ravenholm..."), 10 (Anticitizen One) and 11 ("Follow Freeman!").
Losing the way to cross the bridge again: 13:10 - this gameover you can only get on map d2_coast_04 of chapter 7 (Highway 17)
Allowing Breen to escape: 13:19 - this gameover occurs on the last chapter 13 (Dark Energy).
Half-Life 2: Episode One:
Since Alyx follows you almost the entire game i think you can get related to her gameover in any moment of the game.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two:
Losing the car: 16:17 - you can legally "lose the car" only on the first map of chapter 3 (Freeman Pontifex)
Losing the vort: 17:30 - if i remember correctly the vort follows you only on chapter 2 (This Vortal Coil)
Leaving Alyx behind: 18:42 - again, if i remember correctly you can lose Alyx only on map with helicopter chase, so it should be map ep2_outland_07 or ep2_outland_08 of chapter 4 (Riding Shotgun)
Losing Alyx: 19:07 - Alyx follow you on most chapters of the game, so you can lose her on almost any moment of the game
Allowing striders to destroy the rocket: 19:15 - you can get this gameover only on the final battle of chapter 6 (Our Mutual Fiend)

Для того, чтобы поменять язык надо правой кнопкой нажать по игре в стиме и выбрать свойства. Если у тебя пиратка, то в папке с игрой в файле config.cfg поменять cc_lang на "English"

Actually you can't kill any characters due to friendly fire in actual Half-Life 2 so this video is spreading false information.
you can't kill them, but they can die from enemies.

Язык можно поменять, крч надо нажать пкм (в Стиме), выбрать свойства и там в вкладке общие будет язык
И тогда будет английский язык в игре

Но все же в гмоде иногда проще минус только не всегда все скрипты работают
