- Will Six Flags St. Louis ever call RMC and have them convert Boss into a Hybrid? This conversion is way past due, and it's time for Six Flags to make this happen. The benefits of this project would be massive for the charming park, and RMC could transform Boss into a Top 10 worthy roller coaster!
What do you think about my Six Flags St. Louis predictions? Do you think they will convert Boss into a hybrid?

Theyre probably gonna do this sometime after joker is built
A park operator told me that their budget was too tight and that an RMC redo would be too costly. I don't remember what the reason for that was unfortunately.
Leave it..We need to keep wooden coasters wooden..
I have a book of matches for that coaster. It is the worst on the planet. I doubt RMC can save it. So many spleens, spines and kindneys have been lost on that coaster.
My neck has turned into a slushy from that thing.
I think Six Flags is trying to see what GCI can do with the Titan track before making up their decision on future renovations on their wooden roller coasters
I love The Boss how it currently is and in October 2023 this coaster was running way smoother then rides like El Toro and Outlaw Run that get way less hate. What Boss needs is some Gravity Group pre cut track to make people sensitive to rattle happy but this layout is great and full of airtime..no need for rmc, Gravity Group or GhostRider treatment is the awnser. I truly hope Boss stays a wooden coaster forever!
If the Boss gets the RMC treatment, I may actually be able to ride it as someone who has scoliosis and occasional back pain, and someone who can't even go on the Ninja because of headbanging! I hope this happens!
I'm not saying it can't be a little jerky, the I love the Screamin' Eagle and American Thunder, and the Voyage at Holiday World is absolutely amazing. I'd just like a ride that everyone that I know who has ridden it doesn't recommend me not going on it. I've seen both my dad and brother come off complaining about a sore back and neck. Meanwhile it also looks so fun, it's like it mocks me every time I see the entrance.
I worked at Six Flags St. Louis and The Boss is way rougher than before. They need to turn it into hybrid. It is time six flags. A lot of people complain after riding it. They say my head hurts, etc. The way the ride shakes and stops at the end when brakes engage it jerks you really hard.
Something is going to happen since they are merging with Cedar Fair😊
I believe I heard once some insider knowledge that it was slated to happen, but Covid shut the project down, and it’s future is unsure of. I certainly hope that RMC Boss is somewhere in the future, but I think corporate needs to step up and give St. Louis some much needed TLC soon.
from what i heard a lot park management is still pushing an investment into a RMC’d Boss.
This is my home park and I've been waiting too long for this to happen
I would settle for a Raptor at this point, but I think SIX FLAGS is done with this park, but a RMC Boss would blow the doors off everything in the Midwest ,but the high ups at six flags are too blind to see it,maybe they should sell the park,it might be better, after all they haven’t put any big investments for over a decade
I hope they decide to invest in it!
@@TP_Recommendations I hope so too, it’s my home park, note in the last 5 years they lost 5 attractions and only replaced two new ones in there place, then they raised prices for less attractions, they are crazy to think that was a good idea
No! Not mr freeze going away...
Bring back the original Helix
I grew up in STL and worked at SFSL in highschool. In the later years the boss started giving me migraines so bad I even had to go home early once after riding it. It's an amazing layout, but man if you're at all sensitive to head banging its a rough one.
Oh wow! That bad? That is crazy! It def needs some TLC.
I can agree I grew up in stl. When the boss came out it was my favorite ride for awhile. Now its unbearable for me. For a guy that loves coasters it’s just sad. What’s worst is I stopped going to six flags stl 3 years ago or more. Because they haven’t added any new coasters. I can just go 4 hours and be at Holiday World or Silver Dollar City 🤷🏾♂️.
It’s needs this badly. The Boss is so rough it’s new name is The Migraine.
Six Flags StLouis is the armpit of the Six Flags chain. They have let that park run down and that is too bad. Maybe RMC Screaming Eagle while they are at it.😊
Yes I think It should and could get RMC treatment. I would predict maybe 2025. They real need to do something with it. I would also give the creation a 10 on the ride layout.
I honestly think the RMC Boss will never happen. The Boss track was just modified a few years ago and due to the terrain it was extremely costly. Also supposedly a construction worker told me the Boss was made from Lemon Wood and they would have to completely demolish the entire layout and again because of the hilly terrain it would be far too costly for the company.
feel the problem is the CEO : Six Flags St. Louis consistently gets ignored, park still has land to expand the boundaries, while bigger parks get single rail coasters, dive coasters, etc : we get a used boomerang from SFOT, a Larson Looper, Vomitron. : not saying flat rides a good, but these rides you can find at a carnival. : I would love to see Condor return, couldn't get enough of that ride, maybe a dark ride besides Justice League, not sure my feelings on an S & S free spin, also at the same time keep the park up to date.
I hope they get some investments
very simple answer, money. Six Flags does not want to put that sort of money into Six Flags St. Louis as it just does not generate the sort of money that would warrant that kind of investment. Every coaster they have added over the last 20 years has been either a transfer or a budget family coaster costing less then $5 million. An RMC conversion of The Boss would cost at least $14 million and that's not the sort of money Six Flags is big on spending on a coaster in Erika.
Rode this ride enough to give anyone bruises all over their body. Love fast-paced ejector-filled layout but it's waaaay to rough to enjoy pain-free
And if six flags won't give this property the love it deserves, then they NEED to sell it off. Doesn't matter if this is an og sf park; if they won't invest in anything then I simply won't attend. It's a "if you don't care, then I don't care" deal
Yeah it will be interesting
You know I was at six flags today. And I was fix to ride eagle. And I ask a worker will six flags ever get a RMC? And be responded that it almost happen and it was set in stone but covid happen. I do work there maybe I could ask around.
Yes RMC Boss. I would keep my membership if they did. It's my all time favorite wood coaster
Too many inversions for investing with the goal in mind of a "top 10 coaster"
2 inversions would be far better to cater to the majority, even 3 inversions would begin to turn people away
Six flags is neither adding or converting any coasters any time soon . Not until they get a new CEO. If six flags is even still a thing by the time this guy gets done with it .
I don’t understand these comments. I rode it once and it is one of the roughest things I could imagine and mt Olympus is my home park
LOL! It is very rough - I am all for TEAM RMC! lol
Early in the season with all of the fresh track (The Boss gets a bunch of new track every off-season - SFStL has gotten really good at retracking thanks to this ride) The Boss actually rides pretty dang smooth.
But between the trains and the intensity it really beats itself up and by summer it's already running rough again.
As rough as hades?
@@levib2177 By the end of the season yeah, I'd say they problem areas get really close to that rough.
Mind you the park always has a pallet of wood by the Boss for IN SEASON track replacement. That's how badly it beats up its track in the course of a single season.
I can ride the Boss all day.
Yeah it might be rough af but you gotta take it like a man. I've ridden over 100 Rollercoasters this year and a couple of rides at Mt. Olympus are rough. I've also been to SFDL and they really need the titan track/RMC treatment on their woodie coaster over by the Superman ride.
Finally six flags would have a worthy competitor to cedar fair's steel vengeance and seaworld's iron gwazi
YES! This could be the best coaster within the Six Flags chain!
God I hope so. Rumor is they originally wanted RMC Boss to be the big addition for the park's 50th.
That would have been epic!
I don't see it happening any time soon. Similar reason why I don't see an RMC shivering timbers happening either. No need to convert what are probably the best CCI's out there right now.
Yeah Shivering Timbers is great!
I hear Boss is terribly rough so it definitely could use an RMC re-do, or GCI Titan Track (though I think the latter is more suited for Screamin’ Eagle)
@@VinceHere98 Eagle is too historic. That should get Gravity Group precut track like Beast. Truthfully though the only rough SFStL woodie is Boss and that's CCI's fault. The park does great work on their woodies and the other two are always running well. Thunder is way smooth than Prowler (the other Missouri GCI).
The Boss is my absolute FAVORITE rough riding roller coaster.
I agree
The new general manager of Six Flags St.louis Has stated that the boss is going to RMC in 2025
We shall see! I hope you’re right!
Site your source(s) please?
I think a barrel roll after the drop would be like Maverick's heartline roll, but it could work out like the Mosasaurus Roll
That would be legit if they could pull it off
Just realized I didn't comment on the concept layout. I'd vastly prefer the double down drop stay but with an enhanced RMC flair. Instead I'd love to see a new take on the turnaround right off of the lift. Storm Chaser does a roll here after a pretty standard turnaround but I suspect RMC can think of something much more insane today. Maybe bank to the outside instead and continue rolling that direction until the roll is completed as it drops - literally a roll the opposite direction. It'd end up creating airtime, into hangtime and then rolling out as speed picks up in the drop.
Also raise the height a bit so the length can remain the same. Wouldn't have to add much because the park already shortened the ride length by removing the helix.
get rid of the Ninja for a single rail before toching the Boss
Six flags Stl needs serious upgrades! Ninja is one of the worst arrow coasters ever built unless you like banging your head and neck constantly. It desperately needs to go. Boss is horridly rough and 100 percent needs to be RMCd. Screaming Eagle is a classic woodie, and still holds up and could survive being the only wood coaster there. Batman is ok, and Mr. Freeze is a decent launch shuttle but starting out backwards to me is annoying. Six Flags would once again put themselves on the map if they (1) RMCd Boss, (2) got rid of ninja and added a New Jersey devil clone, and (3) added a B&M hyper. Other than that this park is probably one of the worst currently in the country.
Not gonna lie, I’d be a bit bummed if boss went away. Really enjoyed my ride on it this year. Would be a great layout for RMC to work with though
Would be fun to see what happens.
i probably sent u on the ride boss was my home ride this year
I would rather see an RMC Hyper Hybrid being built from the ground!
That would be legit!
Would be good but an rmc is an rmc its going to be good either way
No Boss really could use something done to it. The park probably doesn't want to keep replacing track on that thing forever.
I'd like to see Chance (AKA: Chance Morgan) get a chance to build a new hyper. They still sell them and I'd love to see what modern Chance could do with one given how good the GTX coasters are. I'd imagine it'd be cheaper than a Mack or B&M hyper too.
I got to get to ride Boss. SFSL is on my 2023 trip list as is the whole state of Missouri. For parks that are stacked with woodies like this, I would rather they take the Kings Island approach and simply modify them like Beast was. At this point, I only want new ground up RMCs. Preserve the woodies!
Sounds great! I would be ok with that too! IF THey can maintain it :)
@@TP_Recommendations
This massive wooden roller coaster will benefit from that. Just imagine all the amazing things that this RMC conversion would do for Six Flags St. Louis
@@TP_Recommendations SFStL has a great woodie maintenance team. The Boss just ruins their off-season work in a few months and then it's rough again.
It's probably a combo of the bad trains and CCI's problem with bent engineering (generally too few of them).
SFSTL has always been my home park, and I would love to see Boss go RMC, but I would also love to see a new generation vekoma here
I’d love for both!!
Park is to cheap to do so. They getting a kiddy coaster. This year. This park. There’s no hope.
While I love myself some RMC action, I would hate to see to see too much of a layout change. If anything I’d love to see a good ol’ titan retrack and possibly an extended ending, so we can speed up that mid course again.
I like the Boss more than a lot of people, but it really needs the rmc treatment, it would finally give the park a standout coaster
It would!!!
The Boss at night time is a great ride.
The RMC treatment would be really good, but honestly I think the ghost-rider treatment would be better. Bosses layout looks really good, it just seems to be to bumpy. How ever the iron horse treatment is probably more realistic.
Great point!! If SF would see the investment on it
0:00 Selim
As much as I’d hate to see the boss go, it would make an amazing RMC.
It would Yes it would :)
👌
I can definitely see Boss being a candidate for the RMC treatment. It was rumored to receive one for quite some time now.
If they RMC Boss, I’m definitely gonna check it out when I go on a coaster-trip to Missouri, and Six Flags St. Louis will certainly be my first stop, followed by Worlds of Fun and Silver Dollar City.
PS. Immelmann Footers really makes awesome rides in NoLimits 2. I need to get a copy of the game myself soon, maybe for Christmas.
I hope you get the game for Christmas!
Hope you’re well Vince!!
That logo alone is exquisite. That park would definitely earn a higher ranking with a conversion like this. 👍👍👍
This better not be converted into an RMC!
The problem is that SFSL is land locked and the park really needs a stand out attraction and the easiest way to do that is convert one of the 3 wooden coasters. the boss is the only one that is really likely for the conversion because American thunder is to new and screamin eagle is a historic coaster.
RMC Boss could make Missouri a destination state for coaster trips 👀
I mean it always is for SDC!

I think it's a great idea. Covid has messed up everything. Really awesome looking ride. I love woodies.
I've always enjoyed boss. Even if it would beat me up!
NO! PLEASE NO!
what I would like to see is GCI putting some titan track on this thing
That would ruin the original intent of the ride. It was built to follow the terrain it was built on, a barrel roll would spit in the face of that image. A wooden coaster next to a state (county?) park makes perfect sense and goes well with the idea behind the ride.
