I’m considering renovating my old 1850’s barn into a home and selling the farmhouse. The farmhouse is on one side of the road with lakefront,an orchard and 9 acres. The barn is on the opposite side of the road and has 5 acres. The house is too big,the property requires too much upkeep (especially the orchard). I turned 70 this year and need to be able to live on one floor-the staircases in this house are KILLERS! Meeting with an architect this week to see if it’s feasible 🤞

Architect said it would never be a place to LIVE in,but I can at least renovate it. It has powder post beetles and will need a chemical solution to get rid of them. That’s not the least of the issues. So maybe I’ll just build a new house on the property and renovate the barn so it doesn’t collapse as so many have here in Maine.

Oo man I'm glad England don't get cold like Cincinnati or back home in Romania dose or else this would be a ice box in the winter. Grate build tho

That’s the ugliest thing i’ve ever seen. Should have been used as intended, an animal barn. The whole “modern farmhouse” thing NEEDS TO GO. Disgusting treatment of history.
