So grateful I was able to see them for the first time back in 2019 one year before the covid outbreak

I agree and since Zwan has Billy and Jimmy it might as well be part of the Pumpkins catalog and evolution. I wish it was! Having a mostly happy / fun album would make the Pumpkins discog that much more dynamic.

@@locatolaka I know, that was brilliant! after all those bad TbK songs I finally thought he'd pulled out a great tune, but imo it was ruined in the studio. I actually didn't mind the vid so much, though i know that's a minority view. Most of the videos have been pretty bad the last - oh, i don't know - 13 years?

Imho, TBK was a good set of songs, I quite enjoyed them. Then again, I'm diehard and reeeaaaaally easy to please when it comes to the pumpkins.
On videos...yeah well there's probably been more videos in these 13 years in comparison to the 88-2000 era. You're bound to have misses in 30+ years of career.
@@locatolaka Yup (ahem, Strawberry!) I think Billy is so easy to set off these days (see his blocking of people on IG from asking even innocuous questions) that even Jimmy and James are just going along uncritically. You know, I don't like most of the TbK songs though as a fan I still have them knocking around somewhere on my PC; it's a curse lol I agree, the videos kind of irritate initially but since I almost never actually watch even the classic ones I'd be lying if I said they bothered me at all.

Aside from Wrath I think this is one of the best songs on the album. It's a mixed bag though, I'm not too hot on a lot of what I've heard so far overall.

@@bohemiandream6259 I for one have tried so many times to like that album...it just doesn’t feel right, hard to pinpoint. Production? The general feel of the album? I love some of the songs on it like ‘try...’ but as a whole album it just never resonated with me. Personal taste maybe?
@@howtodocertainthings8452 it’s one of my favorites, especially when combined with Machina 2, but yes of course taste is subjective. Stand Inside Your Love is in my top 3 Pumpkins songs personally. I also quite enjoy Cyr 🤷🏻

I hear why very few people bought this double album. I hate when musicians change their styles. Robert Plant is a good example of how someone can be great and then just fade away into oblivion because they want to play "different" music. Sting and Paul Simon are good examples too. It's a shame too because so many fans just want something they can rock out to, not fall asleep to.

This song alone was worth the price of admission. You really have to sit down with the whole album, though. It's like an intricate movie. There is no comparison to Adore. Adore was written under very different circumstances with a band trying to fulfill a record contract obligation under extreme duress and unimaginable loss. Cyr is a happier album with a band intact and stronger than before. Billy in particular has much to be grateful for now with a family of his own and it shows in the band's output.😎🤟
