To all the folks that said we were “doing this wrong” or that we “couldn’t do that”, I hope you have a wonderful day 😊 to all the folks who actually gave us solid advice and encouragement, THANK YOU..and I love you all 🥹
Love ya to my dear Master foreman AKA Old Uncle LOJO
You should give the boat to Jay!
You should gift it to Andrew
Peace bro love to see this
If you do decide to gift it or anything like that you should gift it to someone who really needs it who’s going to use it. And it’s going to appreciate the gift and not someone who’s going to sale it for a quick buck. You ask your subscribers why do they deserve? It. Just an idea
Not sure if Jay has a boat or not but I feel like if you are going to gift it to anyone, it should go to him. He definitely has put in the time between this project and everything else.
I know what its like to lose your dad lost him last year in October! I'm 22 years old and it been really ruff man thankfully I got you norm and ayo to help keep me occupied I even started a fishing channel my dad got to a point where he could not go out cause of lyphodema and weight issues! he couldn't go out fishing with me but he always tried. once i came back in his life i was taken from him years ago but i can say when i was younger my favorite memories were fishing with dad! I hope your doing good man and of course your not alone and great video!
I would suggest gifting it back to the family that originally donated it for the project so they can enjoy the old family boat and make new memories or even bring them out fishing on the boat and get there reactions and thoughts on the restoration think both would be a great video ❤🎉
Nah they need it
Yes. Definitely should gift it back to them.
Man I gotta say, since I’ve subscribed to you, I’ve really seen how nice of a guy you really are. You’re always promoting the “lil guys”, and just always talking positive about others. I mean you just finished a huge project, and are already talking about giving it away. If you’re ever up in North Dakota, you’ve got a friend up here too. World needs more people like you.
Couldn't have said it better myself. It's good to see people acknowledge just what a great person Lojo is. 👊
Love what ya did to that little boat wish I could have one a quarter that good looking
Totally awesome..... Yay Jay!
Hey LODO, I’m so glad that you got your project boat finished. It looks amazing. I was going to suggest that if you’re going to give it away why not give it back to the guy and the dad that gave it to you🤔🤘🏻
@lojofishing you guys should gift it back to the family that gave it to you. That would be such a sick video if you guys surprised them with it somehow. Or took them fishing on it to show them what you accomplished then surprise them at the end of the fishing journey!!!
OK OK you should.....NEED TO give it and gift it back to Kevin and his kid and his family for making those things happen..like you said. That would be an AWESOME tike to see. I'm sure most have probably said this but I haven't read all the comments lol. So go rock this shit bro.
I think it would be awesome to donate the boat back to the family to keep the memories going in that family for generations to come!!!
That was a great experience just looking over all the people involved on this restoration! I have a Evinrude 70 HP 2 stroke on my elderly Tracker, that runs like a top. Great inspiration for many out there. R.I.P. to your father. Memories that last a lifetime! Tight lines!
What's the saying "they don't make them like they used to"....
@@p_campbell . Like Ranger Boats saying " We still make them one at a time "! Lol.
Lojo, awesome job on the refurbish.... One thing I will recommend though!! I grew up on a 1986 16' Jason crappie hunter.. Basically a Phantom under a different name. It had the new four stoke 40 HP Yamaha rated at 50 HP and that girl ripped but would porpoise on flat water as it looked as though your boat is doing.
After I got married my Dad sold me the boat in 1994 due to buying a skiff. My wife at that time was working at a very large boat dealer here in St. Louis. After talking to the guys in the mechanic shop about the porpoise issue it was 2 choices.... Expensive trim tabs or a whale tale for the lower unit...
So it was the whale tale and talk about getting on plane super fast and not having any porpoise from a motor that did not have electric trim it was a godsend....
Still have the old girl and replaced the whale tail just last year with the SE Sport High Performance Hydrofoil and I am now getting 3-4 more miles per hour... The old girl shits and gets!!!
Something to look into. A cheap mod that will really help plane and performance!!!
I was smiling throughout the whole video !! Im sorry to hear about your dad, i lost mine to cancer also, so i can seriously relate to your loss.. I restored a little Bass Hunter myself....makes you feel a whole different level of pride, dont it Lo'jo.. !! Love your videos buddy !!
Great job to you and all the people that put in work on the phantom. Never knock the old ones they can still have a little life left in them as you guys have proven. And to all that doubted you a big laugh in their face.
Gift it to ayo for all his hard work helping you take off
Lojo you have done it again! Your pure joy and enthusiasm from this long haul of a project is simply awesome. I prayed over you after the loss of your pops and I'll continue to do so man! Thank you for serving our country and for all of the quality content. If you ever do a giveaway I'd love this to be my 1st boat! Roll Tide Roll
I haven’t forgotten the beard comes off your face when you hit a million!! I’m a og and been watching you for years man. You are pretty much 3/4 of the way! It’s getting there
I am honestly pleasantly surprised that you have done such an incredible job this fast. Whatever you do with the Phantom you should take the donar and his father fishing in it to see what they think about it.
I’m so glad this video came out, I have the exact same boat and I was trying to figure out how I should restore it. Never done something like that. Then I found the previous videos on it of y’all restoring it and it helped me feel much more confident that I could do it myself. So glad to see you got her on the water and she’s going strong.
So happy for ya man thats awesome. Sorry to hear about your dad. My mom passed from cancer when I was 7. Do whatever you want giving it away would be great for all yout supporters. Keeping it would cool too. Or you know if the family that gave it to ya didnt have a boat thatd be kinda dope. Keep doing what ur doing all your content is awesome. And kinda like a dream job of doing what you love.
Thank you kevin for the future videos you have supplied!!!!
I lost my dad in October I feel you when you say it knocks the wind out of your sails stay strong love your content
Congrats Lojo and Andrew on your certificates, we'll deserved and a beautiful boat.I say keep it and create some memories on it
You should do a small tournament series with the boat. I think a lot of viewers would like to see that.
I’m sorry for your loss I started watching you in September and from I’ve seen you are one of the top 3 best fishing RUclipsrs.
Do a tournament… get the win… then have a drawing to give away the boat. Possibly using your Googan squad code or something like that? Just throwing ideas out there. Phenomenal restoration. I would love a boat like that.
Loving the description Lojo of the boat seats" Gives the butt a warm hug"😂
You should do an era challenge, 80's boat / rods / reels / tackle vs 00's or 2020's boat / rods / reels / tackle
Last winter I fully restored a 1988 skeeter sd125 I got the boat for 1500$ and after another 7k I had a great boat. I replaced everything. All electrical plumbing pumps floor and foam. Stringers and transome were solid. First major project I finished. We had a blast using it this past summer. 17’ with a Johnson 120 and she will run 55 on the water. My insurance company put a value of 15k on it. Nice to know it was worth saving.
Boat looks amazing!! Please do old vs new boat competition ( old rods/reels/lures VS new boat/rods/reels/lures. Thanks for the amazing content.
LETS GOOOO!!! I’ve been waiting for this update for ever. I’ve got an 83 pro craft I’ve been rehabbing in the meantime. So cool
It’s good to see a boat not wind up sunk in your pond.
Never thought id see this boat again. Definitely super excited to watch this video
I definitely think you need to fish at least one derby/tournament before you decide!!! But i think the most fitting thing for the boat is to gift it back to Kevin and his family!! Repaying kindness with more kindness!!!!!
The old boat ran great, when you get it trimmed out it might get a couple more mph. congrats on a successful build.
You should do a few videos with it and then give that boat to Jay,he put a lot of heart onto that little thing....
Big man little boat. Great video Lojo! Cant wait to see where you take this boat!
If you give the boat away to anyone it should be your buddy jay. Dude put so much time and effort into it.
Awesome restoration! New to the channel so I am sorry about your dad. Glad you got the strength to carry on. I think it turned out great!
Awesome job with the boat restoration and this well done video Lojo. Props to all those involved in the restoration and also the videographers and edits of the vid.....Dad would be so proud!!
Thank you mom! I wish dad could have seen it :)
LOJO my man. Thank you so much for this video. I just bought my 1st boat 1 week ago today abd it has a few of the same problems and I have ABSOLUTELY 0 Experience at this and you just showed me a 'boat load' of things I needed to know. Ty big dawg..
Lojo, great to see you finished the project up. Brings back memories. Is love to have that boat. Have a race with AYO and his Itty Bitty. Lol!! Love ya my brother.
Thanks Kevin
You're awesome lojo!!!! Appreciate the video man!
i recommend adding floatation foam in the rear looks close to sinking! i love the design of it!
You should give it back to the family you got it from that would be cool
Nice project, I think you give it back to Kevin and his family to get many more years of enjoyment out of it.
It’s so freaking cool that you gave this boat another life… If you do decide to gift it, I’ll dang sure take it 😂😂😂
Great work! love the boat.
Lol, big guts on a lil boat!!!😂
Guys* 😅
Any boat can be repaired. Great job an great friends! Your pops would love to see his son and his friends work together to get this project accomplished! Keep it up LoJo
You could do a giveaway for the boat where the winner goes fishing on the boat with you before they take it home. Would make a fun video, just an idea.
I honestly thought you scrapped this project a long time ago. It was a great surprise to see that it was progressing behind the scenes and it's finally done! Made my day!
Uncle Lojo's wallet behind the scenes 😂
The project turned out great. It was so much fun to watch. Your hard work paid off.
Now you guys need to put it through it's paces fishing. My vote after that would be for a giveaway contest. Cheers
This boat build is so GOATED!
That was cool seeing you get that rehab boat with the old 40 on plane.
sorry for your loss 😭😢 i know what it feels like having someone you love die
The boat is awesome!! Thank you LOJO! Your videos are legit!!!😊
This is so awesome LoJo. I recently moved from Philly to Georgia. I have an 8ft pontoon i take my 14 year old son on occasion. I'd love to be able to take all 3 of my kids out, but we just can't do it safely or comfortably. To say a boat like that would be a game changer, not only for my family, but for my 1 year old channel is an understatement. I've recently been looking around for something like this. You and the other guys from googan have been an inspiration for a small channel like mine. Thank you for everything you do.
The project boat looks good and sounds good need a fish in the new boat great job brother and thanks for your service
Man Lojo it turned out Awesome the Phantom black and Camo sea deck just goes together.. Yall stay safe and Keep’em coming 👍👍👍👍
You gotta do a video with the guy who gave it to you and take him fishing on it it’ll probably be a really really cool memory he’ll have forever
Totally amazing!! Way to go!!!
That’s looks great. Thanks for all of the time and work it took to see this happen.
Glad the old girl is finally done after almost 2 years of watching this project in the beginning was to fix the boat do a tournament then give her away but the decision is all up to you amazing video as always I can't wait for the next one
That boat is perfect! Great job brother, and congrats!
Bery well done. Cant wait to finish my 93, alumacraft super bandit. 60 hp. Its been a whole, budget is the problem but ill get there. Good luck to everyone. God bless us all.
I’m so glad you finally got the boat done I have been waiting patiently to see if you were going to finish it. Looks great.
Would be a fun little boat to own
Man!!....the boat looks great!! That lil' 2 stroke working its a$$ off!! So cool. I'm pretty sure I smiled through this whole video!! Great job fellas! Shout out from NC!
Great work brotha lojo and jay and everyone involved. I'd love to see it go on a tournament before u decide what u want to do.
looks awesome!! Love the SeaDek and the wrap also good job on the transom!
Awesome. My opinion if you gift it maybe gift it to Kevin and his family. Also my condolences to your father. Great job.
THE MOMENT IVE BEEN WAITING FOR!!! LETS DO THIS! Way to go LOJO!
Im about to redo my boats flooring/stingers, and transom, great video series.! Much love guys.!
I was just thinking the other day about where the project boat went. Lol, I guess now we know. Good job looks great.
I forgot you had that river rocket!!! 🚀 🚀 🚀 It came out great.
I vote for give the boat to Andrew as a new baby gift! Or my birthday is tomorrow... just saying. Great content as always!
I'd like to see how that little boat does on the Chattahoochee River during generation. Maybe try and get some big old kitties up there by the damn. Or even some stripers and bass! Definitely ought to take the guys that donated it to you on a run and put them on some fish at least once. If you're wanting to give it away, I'd agree with some of the other commenters here, that you should give it to Jay! The man put in the work and came through clutch for ya. Seems fitting!
Congrats, Lojo. Looking forward to seeing all the new content featuring the Phantom. Enjoy.
Man I’ll give it back to the family that gifted it to you they probably had so much memories in that boat and most likely didn’t have the money to restore it so with Christmas right around the corner I’ll give that family the boat back
That's a nice little boat. Good job on completing it. I think gift it. Good luck in the videos upcoming
Looks very vintage, one of the neighbors at the lake i spent my younger years on had a phantom. Nicknamed "The fish ghost". Congrats 🤠
Thank you for this video. I’ve needed some motivation to redo my ‘89 tracker 16.5, I’m going to start this weekend.
Dang, I totally forgot all about that boat!
Great job!!!
Getting a boat and wetting a line is the first thing I’m gonna do 🔥
This is awesome, I remember when you got the boat and were looking forward to this moment, I am so happy to see the excitement on the launch, Wish I had a boat:)
So glad you completed the Phantom! Love your stuff
I gotta say the coolest thing you could do us take the family that donated the boat to you out in it and toss them back the keys. Would make for an amazing story
Keep it. You can never have too many boats. Do a travel trip with the new boat
crazy good job on the phantom, it'd be pretty cool to gift it to the family that gifted it to you or at least try to
Let’s go I hope one day I can own a bass boat and take some of my family and friends fishing
Turned out great. You should give it back to the guys that gave it to you and have a tournament with them on there home waters
Take the family That Gifted you with the boat fishing and Then Give It Back to that Family ❤❤ That would An Amazing Act from A RUclipsr 💥💥🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪💯💯
