We had a similar thing happen many years ago in Wisconsin dells near where I live, the whole lake delton where they did the watersport shows for tommy Bartlett drained 100% empty
Thank you so much for doing this. My grandparents are very thankful that those fish were safe. That flood came out of nowhere, and they definitely were not expecting something like that to happen to their pond.
Those fish you called Carp are Golden shiners, great bass forage and great bait. Two very similar looking fish that often get mistaken for each other. But compare a Grass Carp and a Golden shiner you will see what I mean. Great effort and video none the less! Always enjoy your content LOJO!
For those that are unaware, and the few that will see this comment. The fish at around 22:00 that Lojo was saying were carp are actually golden shiners and regular shiners. Those are what the common baitfish you buy from bait shops grow into and they can be incredibly damaging to lake/pond ecosystems. We have them in the local lake here. You'll catch them all the time when fishing for bluegill on just some worms. They make decent catfish bait when cut though if you've got nothing else! Usually prefer live/whole bluegill whenever possible though.
I haven’t fished since I was waaaaay younger! I’m turning 50 this year and I have literally lost everything in my life and between you norm and ayo I have gotten really excited to start fishing again. I live really close to a pond but I rarely see anyone fishing there so it’s either got bit many fish or people are to into tech nowadays to actually get out and do something. You really inspire me to get out there. I just can’t afford much but I’m gonna save and hopefully once I get out there I can convince my son to come out with me. Wish me luck. Love you guys and thank you for your service. Should have said that first. Keep on doing what you’re doing because it helps people it really does.
Big bro lojo... it's always a pleasure to watch a video of you and I want to thank you from the bottom of the heart thank you for being a brother and a positive influence here too many
Love the videos. I usually just watch norm in all honesty because he is one of the only RUclipsrs that I can watch without getting bored. I recently started watching you (LOJO) and I have just binged you’re videos in the daily since
I would use a pool lounge float to lay down and push yourself across the mud and water with the net then scoop them, or run a net across the halfway point and push them to the net. Make the pool smaller to catch more faster
I was borned and raised there and never seen that pond dry up like that ever. Even passing by going to visit family there. Its a shame. Glad yall saved the fish
Lojo it's awesome to see you doing this man, it really shows you not only love to fish, but care about persevering them for others to enjoy also. Keep up the awesome work!
Grab a trailer full of old pallets to lay down as duckboards and some extension poles they attach to pool nets and tape to your landing net. I've done this a few times and these things will help you.
To do this embodies what a true fisherman/outdoorsman is. Helping preserve what enables fisherman to be fisherman (can't do it without the fish). GREAT JOB!!
Hey lojo no idea if you will ever read this but when you set your cast net up on your arm take the pointer finger on your left hand and put a loop of the weights In it before you. And when you cast flick it like you would a Frisbee when you throw it the faster you spin it the flatter it will open
Such a nice and good thing to do on your own time. Where are the animal people that say they care about them NOT around helping. They are on Twitter complaining that fishermen are killing fish.
Lojo, you are a true blue hero. Seriously, just jumping in, without question, taking risks and getting dirty to save animals - that’s just damned cool.
Get after it brother save all you can .There's so much more to fishing than catching fish all day Even though you are in another state great job for all fishermen.
Good job out there saving the fish man it so nice to see someone that actually cares about the fish that much to get in there and get dirty to save them keep up the good work bub
I'm sure someone said already but the fish you said was carp was a golden shinner. It's a full grown minnow from a bait shop that you buy to crappie fish with. Bass love golden shinners
The best way to throw a cast net. Grab about half of the net at every weight in one hand, let the rest dangle down. With the other hand hold the top section. Now take the cast net and swing it away from your body but at the same time kind of pull back against it and release, once you see it fan out on the loose hanging end.
LOJO Grab The Cast Net that you have layed over your arm with that hand opening the bag of the net to a triangle shape so its already open splitting the weights even on both side then throw with the same motion⁉️ 🤘🏽💀🤘🏽 Good Luck
LOJO that was an amazing job and glad you guys saved as much as you possibly could even if they are only fish they are still living creatures and deserve to be treated right
Lojo, thanks for doing this. Most people wouldn't have taken the time, especially seeing how difficult it was moving around that mud. You did a greapt thing here. If you have time I'd say go bapck at least one more time if not two more times, to save as many fish as possible. Loved this video.
Yess thank goodness a new LOJO video right after work on this hot summer day when it's to hit to stand to fish. Thank you LOJO keep up the great work and please keep the new videos coming. Have a great week brother. @LOJO
Should we go back and save more fish??
Heck yeah man fill your pond with some monsters!!
Heck yea

We had a similar thing happen many years ago in Wisconsin dells near where I live, the whole lake delton where they did the watersport shows for tommy Bartlett drained 100% empty
Save more fish & stock your pond brotha 🤙🏼
Thank you so much for doing this. My grandparents are very thankful that those fish were safe. That flood came out of nowhere, and they definitely were not expecting something like that to happen to their pond.
My pleasure man glad we could help out a little 🙏👊
Yes sir, I’ll be down there in a few days doing the same thing.
Those fish you called Carp are Golden shiners, great bass forage and great bait. Two very similar looking fish that often get mistaken for each other. But compare a Grass Carp and a Golden shiner you will see what I mean. Great effort and video none the less! Always enjoy your content LOJO!
I agree man golden shiners are bass candy !
I always get them confused at that size 😂 thanks for the kind words brother 🙏
I always thought those were hickory shad
@@jessegonzalez3968no sir, they are a totally different species but all shad/shiners are often confused.
They're Minnows !
I remember when Norm used to do these types of videos all the time hopefully we get to see the dynamic duo again 🖤
@xMr_LOJOno one is gonna fall for your scam 🖕
dont make me cry
@@CreekGeekOutdoors 😭

The fish you said was a carp was actually a golden Shiner they are very beneficial for ponds. They are very easy to confuse.
Lojo it's awesome to see you doing this man, it really shows you not only love to fish, but care about persevering them for others to enjoy also. Keep up the awesome work!
You should've took those big bass to your pond man. They were big but skinny. You're a good man lojo. Don't you ever forget that
Thank you for doing this.

Thoss fish you thought were carp were golden shiners. Great big bait for bass and they are native
This is my favorite content, simply because everyone does fishing and I watch videos for personality and just something different
So wild! Look at all of the fish. 😮
Here before this video blows up ha. Lojo pumping out the top tier content lately.
We the people would love to see a south Florida, peacock bass video and maybe throw in some clown knife fish.. 🔥
LOJO that was an amazing job and glad you guys saved as much as you possibly could even if they are only fish they are still living creatures and deserve to be treated right
AWESOME LOJO! Has anyone ever tell you that you sounded just like Jonah Hills from Super Bad?
Great vid Lojo!!! Congrats on 700K 🎉🥳
Your a good Ole boy
Always enjoy Lojo vids…
Need some hip waders when you come back, and a good rope to pull you out of the deep muck. Great job netting those Bass
LOJO you gotta master that cast net
Those were grass carp and they're great for ponds because they eat the legation and help keep the pond clean
That’s golden shiners you threw back in lijo
Lojo, thanks for doing this. Most people wouldn't have taken the time, especially seeing how difficult it was moving around that mud. You did a greapt thing here. If you have time I'd say go bapck at least one more time if not two more times, to save as many fish as possible. Loved this video.
