    Colion has a way of creating these incredible gun review videos that somehow keep you interested for the entire duration of them. Whether it's the extremely clever usage of his metaphors and the comedy that follows, or the awesome background music in every one, especially this one with the instrumental version of J. Cole Fire Squad, not to mention the very informational facts about the guns. Love the vids man! Keep it up.

    LOVE my FNX 45 Tactical. Had a HK USP Tactical .45 and sold it so I could get the FNX. Don't regret it one bit! It is a tack driver, and I find the trigger to be loads better than any variant of the HK USP Tactical triggers, which helps contribute to my shooting it accurately. Can't wait to get a RMR for it, and a proper holster.

    I've owned this gun for over a year. No RMR on it.............YET. I have put damn near 4000 rounds through it. I use the streamlight TLR-1. I have taken this to several tactical shoots. Sure, my FNX-9 is quicker. It just is. It doesn't spin the steel like the .45 does though. This thing is dead accurate and hits like a baseball bat. I couldn't have made a better review. You pretty much echoed everything about this gun I have noted over the past year, one exception, tactically it works just fine. I have ran several courses to this point and its great. Also, never had a single failure. Not one. I've shot frangible, HP, and slug through this without a problem. After shooting this and the 9 I can say I am quickly becoming a fanboy. Not because they are sexy, because they are, but because they work and they work well. I have small hands as well and, initially, I was a bit spooked about that. This thing IS a soft shooter. Throw that TLR on the front and the counter weight is just beautiful. Coupled with the low bore axis.....I would demand the 15+1 capabilities if I was military. Did I mention I've only cleaned it twice ? This pistol is a reliable, accurate, high capacity, sexy beast. SAO 1911 can take a hike. I couldn't help but laugh at the SFA 1911 fanboy that had 3 1911's at my last shoot. Three because all three eventually failed throughout the day.

    • @unitedgray

      The fact that the frame is so large means that the force of the shot being fired is spread out over a much larger area on your hand. Pressure equals force per unit area. A lower pressure means there is less of a sharp impact on your hand, and more of a soft push instead.
      I've always wanted an FN45. I WILL have one someday, but I'll never get rid of my 1911. I have a Sig 1911 that runs like a bat out of hell. It seems to run better the hotter it gets. I can't actually remember the last time I had a malfunction.

    • @electroniccheeks
      @electroniccheeks 5 лет назад +1

      The 1911 is a great firearm, if you know what you are doing. I have a 1911. The only failure it had was due to me. When I over adjusted the sear spring. It had hammer drop. After I readjusted it now runs like a top.

      I have a 1911 colt commander a 1911 sig and this fnx tactical.. i love all 3 but as far as reliability goes the fnx is seriously one of my favorite pistols ever.. I call it the rich persons glock as a joke obviously it looks way better then a glock im just refering to the fact that I am literally never afraid of malfunctions i have 5000 rounds through mine and no major malfunctions and some how it still looks the same as the day i bought it.. Its one of those weapons if you take care of it after puting it through hell it never seems to go bad inside or out...

My question is would you recommend dropping a grand on this? I really want one but I can get two "practical" weapons or a new AR for the price, what do you think? Not to mention another 500$ for the bad ass rmr

    • @NjalThorgeirsson
      @NjalThorgeirsson 8 лет назад +2

      +Anthony Puckett If you actually intend to throw an RMR on it, you've already narrowed down your options to this particular gun. The USP 45 tactical is the closest competitor, but it has a reduced capacity (by like 50%), no RMR capability, and only standard target sights. The trijicon sights on the FNX-45 Tac ROCK. If you can grab one of these in the $1000-$1200 range I'd say look no further. I for one am not a fan of the .45 (I carry a Glock 26 and wouldn't consider carrying a .45), but I love my FNX-.45 Tactical and greatly look forward to shooting it (and purchasing an Osprey 45) when I'm back in CO in two weeks. This gun is positively luxurious to shoot. The gun isn't fast, but the recoil is very soft and the grip is extremely comfortable (especially if you have large hands).

      The Glock 21 comes with a standard capacity 13rd magazine. The 10rd was specially made for states not allowing over 10rd magazines. The magazine is the exact same size and dimensions as the 13rd, but with an added plate.

      03SilverMustangGT You just agreed with the man's POST. Plus Glocks still are lousy and don't sell as well as Sig sauer and the other major brands.

    I picked up one 2 days ago, had to just put it in the safe because life gets busy. Can wait to introduce it to my Griffin Suppressor and take it out to my range for the first time. When ever I purchase a new gun I run a box of Factory FMJ through it to make sure its working ok, then I introduce it to my powder coated cast bullets. I hope it likes them.
    Nice review, made we want to buy another one!

    HK usp45 vs fnx45 video?

    • @PracticalTacticalSheepDog
      @PracticalTacticalSheepDog 8 лет назад +2

      +Tactical Raptor couldn't disagree more, I would say the only Advantage the HK has is it does not require a break-in period which granted is a pretty big deal because it is very frustrating to have to put four hundred rounds through your gun before it runs perfect but with that in mind after the FNX is broken and it will shoot absolutely anything including range pickups that have been laying on the Range getting rained on for 6 months

      @rabid I own both the USP 45 tactical and the FNX 45 tactical. The HK USP model is much more reliable. Watch Mac’s torture test and gauntlet test on the USP 45. NOTHING BEATS IT IN RELIABILITY. NOTHING

      Mike Ross as someone who has both, and two HK P30s...I would say pick between the fnx and the P30. Love the P30 and the FNX pistols, LOVE them. The P30 shits on the USP.

      Do those 3 extra rounds mean much to you?
      How picky are you about triggers?
      Do you plan on putting an RMR on the pistol? You can put one on a USP but it'll cost you $400.
      I agree with the others, look into the P30. Best ergonomics.

    Excellent review! I also own this gun in fde with the same light/laser and RMR with a Octane 45. As you stated the Osprey would be a better choice if dedicated to just this pistol. Love how you explained this gun so perfectly. You don't necessarily need all the gadgets but it's sure fun, and if your going to put everything but the kitchen sink on a pistol this is the one. If your on the fence about buying one do it! Love this gun, definitely my go to for home defense.

      R Dizzle83 I've asked some professionals about this. I've always been taught to shoot with the pad, but for certain triggers, it just doesn't feel comfortable because of travel, pull weight, etc. Their answers were pretty unanimous in that they all agreed on "whatever gets your rounds on target in a safe and efficient way". Just some interesting mind-food.

      Who the fuck cares? If someone is accurate pulling a trigger eih their pinky finger... what does it matter? Some gun people are the most narcistic, argumentetive, "i say things just to hear myself talk", idiots.

    • @noodleboix
      @noodleboix 9 лет назад +10

      "Proper technique" is a relative term. If it works for him, why do you care? He's not in law enforcement or the armed forces.

    • @firefoxx04
      @firefoxx04 9 лет назад +12

      R Dizzle83 o REALLY? proper technique is whatever fires the gun without jerking it to the side right before the break. I find on small guns I have to use the 'crease' of my index finger (my CM9 for example).
      If you dont jerk the gun and you land on target everytime, does it really matter? no. That is advice you give people who are new to shooting guns. This guy does not seem at all new.

    I appreciate the production quality of your videos - really top notch! I have to admit the analogy-laced voice-overs are both compelling and somewhat self-indulgent, like the hot girl in high school with the killer body and annoying voice trying out for the lead in the school play. LOL. After watching several, I realized you're the guy on the NRA commercial! Love that, man, congrats!
