- Dragon Ball Sparking Zero : Power vs Speed trailer recently dropped with insane gameplay, new characters like Broly, Hit, Kale and even had a gameplay showcase highlighting new mechanics with Goku and Vegeta.
However, there was only one bad thing, "Wishlist Now" at the end with no release date for this insanely hyped Budokai Tenkaichi 4 game.
I decided to dig around and found 5 reasons/theories as to why Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will release soon and not next year (2025). Watch to see the breakdown!

I would agree, though in another comment i said that Tenkaichi 4 would be released between August and December due to the development in the trailers. Though if it came out in May this year, that'd be awesome tbh (My birthday is in May lmao, that's why) and i heavily agree that Tenkaichi 4 would be competing with GTA 6, it's a no brainer a lot of ppl overlook.

Yep I think people are definitely overlooking the GTA 6 factor, even if they’re not similar games it’s still the same game industry. You do not want to compete with the biggest game ever to release imo, especially with them spending over 5 years now developing Sparking Zero.
I’ll be as patient as possible if they don’t rush it. I’m always happy to wait for a better more finished product.

There’s been no mentions of delays officially. You’re right though, with no window at least they can develop the game for as long as they want.
I think it’ll come out before December if it’s coming out this year as they wouldn’t want to put the price down for Christmas just yet if not it’ll come out in February of next year

Yeah I fully agree, this game was announced in March 2023 and we’ve built up so much hype now. The trailers and gameplay all look amazing, it’d be such a shame if it’s not released this year.
We should at least get a demo or beta hopefully for us to fill up the time before release.

Literally one of my favourite characters to use in Dragon Ball games, alongside Kid Buu. The graphics and character models for them are going to be so good 🔥🔥
To everyone clicking this, there is no substantial info indicating a release date in the vid. The earliest they opted was Q4 2024 according to official info.
It’s mostly speculation tbf to share and gather thoughts so far. The hype for this game is massive.

Such as "Sparking Zero may release sooner" etc. I like discussing the game's future, most fans do, but I did not see the information the title suggested that would be presented. That's the truth. It will probably come in 5 months. Burst Limit was rated 5 months before release or Arkham Knight or Tekken 8 or Sand Land or Naruto

Yep, the PEGI and ESRB ratings are a really good sign for us. The only confusing thing is that they haven’t even given us a release window, other dragon ball games in the past have even had release windows announced up to 9 months before.
A summer release for this game would be insane though, could potentially be the best Dragon Ball game ever.

Yep, local multiplayer feels like a must for Dragon Ball games. All the memories back in the day playing against friends. The main rumours to why split screen potentially won’t be in the game are because of the Xbox S hardware being not powerful enough and also to get more console/game sales.
Either way I think Bandai is trying to push for split screen but it’ll be up to Sony and Microsoft in the end. Don’t believe anything being said right now, we’ll just have to wait until official confirmation closer to release

There wouldn’t be any competition between sparking zero and gta6 they’re completely different and they got their own fan base. Sure some might switch over to try it out but I’m sure they’ll still be playing sparking zero more.
Tbh it was a rogue more personal idea from me and I can fully see why it might not be that valid. I think you’re viewing it more from a player perspective though that can just try the different games whereas I was focusing on a company perspective.
A lot of media attention will definitely be focused on GTA 6 and I think Bandai would want to at least try and capitalise time before that so that Sparking Zeros own hype can be there for a while.

This will probably be the best DBZ game for a while too, FighterZ going strong for over 6 years is still quite incredible. I didn’t play it much but when I heard of a Budokai Tenkaichi 4th instalment, I instantly became interested.

The graphics and gameplay have come a very long way with this BT4 and so far it's looking like top notch perfection with this new installment. I can't wait for the dialog between rival characters and hopefully a TOP(tournament of power) level lol
Yep the graphics and gameplay upgrade is actually insane. After filming this video, there was actually a supposed leak from a Sparking Zero dev that the game might not even release on Xbox series S.
The game might require more power than the S can handle and only release on PS5 and X first.

Most people only count the Tenkaichi series as Budokai Tenkaichi 1, 2 and 3. Ultimate Tenkaichi and the other games aren’t really included. Sparking Zero is the official 4th instalment of the Budokai Tenkaichi series.

Wow no way I had no clue about that 🤯. Now it all makes sense, that game was basically supposed to be Raging Blast 3 but wrongly got given the Tenkaichi title in English. It’s a shame how the game turned out to be in the end though.
@@VuceFinity It could be that Bandai wanted to come up with something new and try something new. The name Ultimate Tenkaichi was in a poll from the Dragon Ball Games Facebook page at the time. There were 5 titles given and the fans all clicked on Ultimate Tenkaichi. There was even a scan that said the game would play like the Tenkaichi series, which in the end was a big lie. The only good thing about the game were the Ultimate attacks, which Sparking Zero also took inspiration from.
Well they definitely did try to do make a new style. That Facebook poll news seems crazy, you’re telling me that Bandai picked a name for their game based on fan input! The ultimate attacks were cool tbf, I’m glad to see Sparking Zero take various good features from the older games and combine them.
