8:05. I think it's ment to lock you out of forms in a way. Like you said I think for example goku must be ssb to go mui. Also it makes it so if you start in lets say ssb you can't immediately go to base. In the previous game trunks could start grade 3 and take the 3 bars of ki and go to base because grade 3 is slow. The boost feature in clashes was in Tenkaichi 2 and 3. You'd press the special move trigger and it would rapidly drain your Ki and make you more likely to win the clashes. Your opponent had to work better to beat you, basically. I'm curious to know how that translates to Sparking Zero.
I dont know if anyone said it already but the Final Flash at the End where the Beam Struggle is isnt Vegetas Ultimate Attack cause his Ki bar wasnt at max (also a shorter animation not as cool as gokus).

i should add about the beams, they need to have some form of impact when they touch you... not just stay there tickling you until they explode, just like the head of the beam changes shape when you use super perception, it should change shape to imply impact before blowing up. xenoverse had that same issue with its beams and i really hope they fix it. also i want to point out: the "transformation stock" isn't a stock but rather seems to be an indicator of when you can transform and how many forms you can go up into, the reason i say it's an indicator is because there are moments where it goes away and they seem to be moments where the character is undergoing an uncancelable action. this is not a new thing as such a functionality exists in the tenkaichi games, you can transform when there's a super being done, you have to wait till the opponent is done dashing/throwing the energy attack and then you can transform/switch characters. curiously, they also seem to get the indicator at 1 after gaining a certain amount of blast stocks, implying these are transformations that are accessible only when you're in a specific form. this is also not something new as it's existed in both raging blast and tenkaichi, for example look at freeza or cell, you have to level up 1 form at a time and can't skip any. i think it's safe to say that narrows down the possibilities to one, since if this was indicating a transformation back into base, why would the arrow on the indicator point upwards?
The Max Power music should definitely tune in and out smoothly. Perhaps it could be a more "intense" or "epic" version of the base track which transitions when someone is into max power and turns back when it ends.
the sound could easily fade into the ultimate song and then keep going from where it was. Or the ultimate song could be a more intense version of the same song which then alter between them according to the situation.
So this is a shot in the dark for the transformations but I wonder if one of those stocks makes the transformation stronger. Like using the regular Skill Count gives you the regular animation but when you use the unique Skill Count maybe it’ll be like how we saw Goku go SSJB in the reveal for Sparking Zero?
I do wonder if you can cancel short dash into itself? It would drain your meter a lot faster but it would make your movement that much more flexible Zigzag movements, maybe a sway (dash out dash in) to whiff punish, etc
I have a theory on the "transformation stock" which maybe explains it, i believe that you need 2 skill counts to transform in general with atleast 1 transformation stock, the "transformation stock" tells you how many forms you are able to go upwards in one transformation, so in other words, Goku wouldnt be able to transform into blue without 3 blue/transformation stocks if he is in base form, ALSOOO i noticed that transformation stocks build up with the Skill COunt, 1st transformation stock = 1/4 of a skill count 2nd transformation stock = 1 whole of a skill count 3rd transformation stock = 1 whole of a skill count again. Now I noticed another very interesting thing as well, remember when the screen goes black in the middle of the fight? Now I thought that was because they were trying to hide the 4th transformation stock, and I looked again, and it could be a possibility, since I noticed right before the screen goes black, it was about to fill the skill count one more time, meaning the transformation stock could go up again, BUT the screen goes black right before it happens, and they edited it to look like the fight was continuing, but i noticed that Gokus Ki magically goes back up to full charge as it drains again so they definitely edited something to that black screen happening. I believe it was them hiding the 4th transformation stock, but its just a theory for now...
For the music, it would have been nice if they did context-dependent music like in FF7 Rebirth for example.. If someone goes into sparking mode, it just transitions seamlessly to a heavier version of the stage's song at the same spot and then when the mode is depleted, just transitions back to the original version of the song in the same spot.
In raging blast 2 there was a minor threshold for transformations so maybe that’s what that is? I don’t remember you needing that same threshold to power down though, very well could be. Also might be, as you alluded to, potential transformations when the add MUI and evo vegeta
Need movement aura like kakarot and the camera angle while moveing is amazing also need a combat system needed like dbz kakarot modded. Also need special skills like kakarot. The game will be op.
Super deflecting is probably useful when you don't have the time/ki to dodge a move at the last second and was shown off this way just to make it easy to see
I could also imagine being able to use Super Perception, Vanish Assault. Like, you deflect the blast, then while the enemy is stuck in the end lag of the super, Vanish Assault to get behind them and combo them.
If those numbers next to the Skill Count are for transformations only, my theory is that they still generate one stock even at the last form because of fusions. I assume you can go straight from Blue to Vegito or Gogeta Blue.
I think the default song should resume where it left off before entering max power mode One little detail I noticed was SSB Vegeta's final flash wasn't an ultimate like base Vegeta
@Globku in tenkaichi 2 you could use more of your ki to gain the advantage in beam struggles. That mechanic in the trailer might be a revamped version of that
I’ve been replaying Tenkaichi 2 for the past few weeks and just realized the blast stocks from Sparking Zero are more similar to BT2 where the blocks are horizontal whereas in BT3 they were vertical so it’s like they’re taking elements from BT2, BT3, and Raging Blast
W breakdown I also did a breakdown specifically pointing out things from raging blast 2 such as the snap vanishes, the cut in for more deliberate supers vs those like the kamehameha or masenko
2:32 I don't think anyone pointed this out, and I might be wrong, but Goku's combo string here looks like a reference to his kick assault on Zamasu when he couldn't use his hands.
You can see goku bend the kamehameha a little towards the end of the blast.if it’s tru then that would be a really cool feature and it would make the super attack deflection mechanic make a lot more sense since it would mean you wouldn’t be able to move out of the way as easy as before
i feel like the music should only change when one of the player's health bar reaches a critical state or when a player does an ultimate skill. and i agree. the music restarting constantly during the match will throw off the flow of the gameplay. if the music changes it should only change once until the end of the match
Are you forgetting about SSBKx20? The one upgrade meter left for Goku and Vegeta after Blue are probly SSBKx20 and Royal Blue. UI Goku will be a seperate characther since it has a not yet mastered version.
I just noticed that the launching combo that goku does on vegeta (sorry it's been a while and forgot the name) but it seems the motion blur have been removed or is not as prominent as in tenkaichi 3, and also I don't quite like the fact that the characters will be facing the opponent at all times, I feel like that it may make it feel like we are forced to keep looking at the opponent and yea, but these are minor nitpicks, I'm sure the game will be awesome
@@habderrahmane Not exactly. Yes, they might have 2 fusions, but same as energy stocks, you use up 1 for any transformation, or 2 for skipping transformations, no matter the transformation that you're at, they can only transform once after blue, regardless of whether it's gogeta or vegito. Get it?
@@mrtaki998 ah ok it could be that but you would need to be in a team battle and have vegeta with you to be able to fuse(otherwise you just cant) but it is not the case in the gameplay showcase i tbh think it is just to revert to base form but we wont know for sure until the game releases
@@habderrahmane why not for both lol😂. Honestly I don't think they would change such a thing based on the game mode, but both opinions are pretty valid if you're asking me
I notice something from this and the previews trailer that might be nitpick but the Goku ssj blue hair doesnt move when hes transforming its completly static, but in the two first trailers hes hair is moving normally, so that kept me thinking if this is a way earlier build of the game, but earlier than even the first trailers? Idk

if the game runs smooth and we can make our own lobbies this game could have a lack of the common elements of the series like original storymodes and it would still be a massive success However.... If the game lags, has matchmaking issues, no lobbysystem and no form of practise options, This will be the biggest disappointment since Jump Force.
@@cjwilldoit8938anime fighting games specifically, but yeah, absolutely. The lack of very basic content and options is fucking atrocious in the last couple years of arena fighters like this game.
This is why, as good as it looks now, I'm not nearly as hyped as everyone else. This game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft, after all, and their games haven't exactly been bangers since the days of Tenkaichi. They've either lacked basic content and modes like you mentioned already, had performance issues, or were unbalanced messes that struggle to have any combo depth, like Jump Force, with all the parry/vanishing mid combo breakers.
Im not a fan of the camera style when the beam struggle connects. Too much movement and it seems they focus more on the characters during the beam atruggle then the actual beams we want to see fight it out. I like the horizontal beam power struggle. It gives your eyes a break from you and your opponent spamming teleports and in general fast fighting gameplay and just looks nicer. Hopefully thats not the only camera style for beam struggles. My other worrie is now that we saw beam struggles does it apply for spherical energy as well like ultimate Tenkaichi did? Like can piccolos light grenade beam struggle with a continuous beam like galock gum or kamehameha?
i strongly think that about the transformation bar , is because they are holding one more special transformaition , which is a limited power up ( times 20 kioken on ssb , and blue evolved for vegeta) massive power spike for short term , maybe there is a drawback for using it , or only once per match for a short period
that would be stupid for blue evolved it should be a form because it should have different moveset you cant have blue evolved without final explosion and you cant have regular blue use that
They need to improve the aura and the explosions of deflected ki waves every super saiyan transformation should have a base an burst aura they can improve the beam clashes as well
I just wanna know cuz I've never played tenkaichi, what changes from character to character? Is it different combos, movement speed or different links to combos, ofc non flying characters and supers but idk everything fully
If you're talking about transformations in Tenkaichi, they aren't installs, they are fully developed characters with different combos, movement, and pretty much everything else
Your base stats change like more damage dealt and less taken faster or slower movement speed depending on form like super trunks you get really high damage but a lot slower. Supers usually change and combos sometime change but with what they’ve said about sparking zero it seems like combos are gonna be different for each form I think.
Broadly stats, characters would have different heavy hits and follow ups(they're shared across the roster, but characters get random placements), different benefits in max power(number of extra pursuit followups, super armor, blast combo finisher), movement speed, charge timings for heavies and Perfect Smashes. As justsolid stated, transformations were treated as different characters, which also applies to the time versions. Goku(Early/Mid/End) all had those kinds of differences.
I live for this content, thanks globku you take me back to high school hanging with my friends talking Dragonball wondering if we could learn how to fly when Gohan teaches videl
Guys this game will be a masterpiece 🥹 the guys at spike chunsoft are genius they’ve kept every great combat detail from the original series & even seem to have took a note from the “meta” of DBZ legends mobile combat & combined the existing & new mechanics (smoke screens) from the tenkaichi series to create combat that looks super fun competitive & refreshing. The cherry of top it all, visually it’s STUNNING!!! I’m beyond excited. This amongst other things will be a massive tribute to the late Toriyama I know they will put their best foot forward. RIP Akira Toriyama 🙏🏾
I personally really love the new combat system. The movement looks solid, the combo's fleshed out and the skill and transformation points add some much needed resource management to the combat. My only real complaint is that the camera is a bit weird. I really hope that character can feel unique compared to one another instead of "Here is ki blast spam, high speed rush, explosive wave, power up and the BT3 classic... *FULL POWER ENERGY WAVE*
Nah i dont think blue kaioken is a transformation(it will most likely be a power up like regular kaioken) and if it was a form they would've included him at the end of the trailers in that character grid
the supers (kamehameha and galick gun) bend. so maybe they auto lock on to your opponent which would answer "why would you use a skill stock to deflect instead of dodging". maybe there's no dodging beams unless you're far enough away.
It seems like dodging would be difficult considering how fast the move comes out and the fact that all the charge up is a cutscene before the games resumes.
@@akxay yea that could also be a big reason to use it. Either way it does (so far) seem like the game would want us to use those stocks which could make this a competitive arena fighter. Make us think more strategically in matches
I hope the it's possible to not have the music change during the max power stuff. Honestly I didn't like it in RB2 either (but I didn't like many of the soundtracks on that game anyway) Also I wonder if deflecting an attack works similar to RB2, which left your opponent open to subsequent attack. It HAS to do something like that now that it cost to deflect blasts now. It would be great if you can use this to deflect those ki blast barrage supers.
All I want it What if Stories, imagine what if for the ToP they grab cooler or Z Broly, What if Cell Max finished cloning, what if Yamcha was brought to the future, just some silly stuff like that.
So is that icon a transformation stock? I can’t tell what it does. When I transform it takes from the skill count meter not the transformation stock. So what is that “transformation stock” i don’t get it 😵💫
Vanishing assaut isnt technically new. Its there in Dragon Ball Legends. You swipe your finger on the screen and your character immediately closes the distance by vanishing in high speed towards your Opponent.
I know this comment is late but are we sure it has a light and heavy attack? I didn't like kakorot because the one attack button it was to repetitive, I have to have a heavy and light.
Could you pleaseeeee make a beginners guide. Genuinely having trouble playing it coz I haven't played any other tenkaichi games, and there's barely any tutorial so kinda have no clue what I'm doing...
I still believe that z-items will return. Roshi not having flight may suggest that since a certain z-item “flight” could remove that issue. Also I do hope they show an android to see how the androids charge ki.
I wanna point out, obviously just speculation but, in the Goku vs Vegeta rival trailer we do see a glimpse of what seems to be a SS blue kaioken super for Goku which could mean that extra transformation stock Goku gets could be for the SS Blue kaioken transformation.
I think more creators have to address the local play issue the developers are listening to the community and the more attention the topic gets the better

Ooooowweeeee i can’t wait to bully people as vegito
Need movement aura like kakarot and the camera angle while moveing is amazing also need a combat system needed like dbz kakarot modded. Also need special skills like kakarot. The game will be op.
Revenge counter is a mechanic on the first tenkaichi. It was a free way to stop someone mid combo by spamming circle. It just cost now.
Hopefully there is a menu screen and not a walk around lobby
I think the super perception is neeeded cause look how hard goku's Kamehameha tracks
If those numbers next to the Skill Count are for transformations only, my theory is that they still generate one stock even at the last form because of fusions. I assume you can go straight from Blue to Vegito or Gogeta Blue.
I think the default song should resume where it left off before entering max power mode
One little detail I noticed was SSB Vegeta's final flash wasn't an ultimate like base Vegeta
The 1 transformation stock in blue could also just be for fusion
Its for ssbkk and ssbe
@@shinobimsh5687 Oh fair
Man i just hope its not filled with tryhards cause the gsme looks so fun.
@Globku in tenkaichi 2 you could use more of your ki to gain the advantage in beam struggles. That mechanic in the trailer might be a revamped version of that
No, in Budokai, you have to time the button correctly 3 times. In this one, it's 5.
@@ZEHAHAHA9697 in budokai
@@Daytimeprophet3 which this can take mechanics from, and was prequel series.
@ZEHAHAHA9697 most of the the mechanics they took have been from the 3d ones lol
@@Daytimeprophet3 bro, that does not matter when we are talking about a beam struggle mini game.
Ha, same. I was replaying BT2 for the what if sagas. They're really revisiting a lot of the past, if this is intentional.
I can see it. Good observation!
Maybe we can reflect blasts now because it's harder to dodge them? You can see a couple times that blasts seem to track a lot better than past games
I thought when Goku said “Let’s go!” and the music restarted was pretty fire tho.
How do you time the new beam struggle?
I would like when you're at full power you're aura to be at it's biggest also Goku's fighting stance in blue to always be how he looks at 12:40.
For the transformation stock, I think the extra one after blue is for fusions
shouldn't it be 2 if that is the case
for gogeta and vegito
@@habderrahmane Not exactly. Yes, they might have 2 fusions, but same as energy stocks, you use up 1 for any transformation, or 2 for skipping transformations, no matter the transformation that you're at, they can only transform once after blue, regardless of whether it's gogeta or vegito. Get it?
@@mrtaki998 ah ok
it could be that but you would need to be in a team battle and have vegeta with you to be able to fuse(otherwise you just cant) but it is not the case in the gameplay showcase
i tbh think it is just to revert to base form but we wont know for sure until the game releases
@@habderrahmane why not for both lol😂. Honestly I don't think they would change such a thing based on the game mode, but both opinions are pretty valid if you're asking me
@@mrtaki998 yeah i know both are pretty valid tbh
it is just that fusing would probably only be available in team fights just like in bt3
Idk
I loved every second of it. The No.1 problem is the lack of local multiplayer. I MUST have it.
4:30 you can do that in Tenkaichi 3. RB just made it look better
Since you're mentioning fixes/improvements please refere sway/sonic sway in a future video. Hopefully they will include thay function. Preferably closer to the way it was in Raging Blast where you had to hold block and time the square button correctly.
I believe that the “ transformation stock” is just the accumulated Skill Counts. When Vegeta transformed it goes from 5/3 to 3/1
The skip transformation was a feature in tenkaichi
if the game runs smooth and we can make our own lobbies this game could have a lack of the common elements of the series like original storymodes and it would still be a massive success
However....
If the game lags, has matchmaking issues, no lobbysystem and no form of practise options,
This will be the biggest disappointment since Jump Force.
And the fact that ur scared that these common and pretty much standard features might not be in the game says a lot about fighting games today😂😂
@@beancheesedip8337 to be fair tenkaichi being unbalanced is kinda what it’s known for😂
Im not a fan of the camera style when the beam struggle connects.
Like can piccolos light grenade beam struggle with a continuous beam like galock gum or kamehameha?
i strongly think that about the transformation bar , is because they are holding one more special transformaition , which is a limited power up ( times 20 kioken on ssb , and blue evolved for vegeta) massive power spike for short term , maybe there is a drawback for using it , or only once per match for a short period
that would be stupid for blue evolved
it should be a form because it should have different moveset you cant have blue evolved without final explosion and you cant have regular blue use that
@habderrahmane yea it only makes sense for kaioken I can't imagine the form being on the whole time
They need to improve the aura and the explosions of deflected ki waves every super saiyan transformation should have a base an burst aura they can improve the beam clashes as well
I think it's alright for now but they are developing
@justsolid3201 Yeah transformation and every character in general
@@emmettcaple8721 Ooh kk cool ty bro
Choked on water when he said "Tenkaichi pro" lmfao
No " Fight" or K.O. screen is wild. im honestly surprised no one has noticed.
Will the button play be like the second dragonball on ps2
I really hope we get ring outs and the tournaments mode that we know and love from the older games
FULL ENERGY WAVE VOLLEY
The extra transformation stock must be kaio Ken for goku, as we saw it in the end of the rivals trailer, which means Vegetas will be Evolved
Nah i dont think blue kaioken is a transformation(it will most likely be a power up like regular kaioken)
and if it was a form they would've included him at the end of the trailers in that character grid
the supers (kamehameha and galick gun) bend. so maybe they auto lock on to your opponent which would answer "why would you use a skill stock to deflect instead of dodging". maybe there's no dodging beams unless you're far enough away.
It looks cool can't be the only reason for blast reflect but I wonder what else it could really do
Also when Goku becomes battle damaged his boots change colors, the red and yellow parts switch for some reason
Maybe it’s like blue evolution and and Kaioken x10 for the extra stock
The short dash is a game changer
I hope the it's possible to not have the music change during the max power stuff. Honestly I didn't like it in RB2 either (but I didn't like many of the soundtracks on that game anyway)
Also I wonder if deflecting an attack works similar to RB2, which left your opponent open to subsequent attack. It HAS to do something like that now that it cost to deflect blasts now. It would be great if you can use this to deflect those ki blast barrage supers.
Man you are a top tier content creator
All I want it What if Stories, imagine what if for the ToP they grab cooler or Z Broly, What if Cell Max finished cloning, what if Yamcha was brought to the future, just some silly stuff like that.
I loved locking off an opponent and run away when i had low health. I am gonna miss that.
So is that icon a transformation stock? I can’t tell what it does. When I transform it takes from the skill count meter not the transformation stock. So what is that “transformation stock” i don’t get it 😵💫
Transformations will use skill counts and the small number icon is the amount of transformations that character has.
I hope local split-screen comes back...but judging from leaks it might not happen 😢
I hope they add SUPER SURVIVOR as a max power soundtrack or just a soundtrack that plays at the end of the campaign! It was my favorite OST
Where can we give feedback to the devs?
I still believe that z-items will return. Roshi not having flight may suggest that since a certain z-item “flight” could remove that issue. Also I do hope they show an android to see how the androids charge ki.
I wanna point out, obviously just speculation but, in the Goku vs Vegeta rival trailer we do see a glimpse of what seems to be a SS blue kaioken super for Goku which could mean that extra transformation stock Goku gets could be for the SS Blue kaioken transformation.
I personally think it may be for fusion since these are the broly movie version of goku and vegeta
I think the angle of the health bar kinda gets on the way (i wish it was more horizontal instead of inclined) but this game is looking great!
I think more creators have to address the local play issue the developers are listening to the community and the more attention the topic gets the better
The vanishing assault can be done much farther than mid range it was seen later on from Vegeta
It was also in bt3 2 and tag team so raging blast didn't make it
The max power thing is similar in raging blast 2 as well
Hey Globku I have a good content idea, u should speed run the END OF Z dlc in dbz kakorat and also complete the goku vs vegeta battle.
I hope they make the attacks have more impact, and add hit animations for ults like Final Flash in raging blast
Some ults will have cutscenes and some wont
9:01 I think Ultimate T had that as well
I didn’t see it in the demonstration but I hope the have swaying in this but make as good as it was in Raging Blast 1
*smoother transitions on the soundtracks.*
Had to give my like before i watch it but i needed this video🙏🏽
Didn't raging blast 2 music restart after raging soul?
