It's kinda poetic how Db Daima is the most Toriyama was involved EVER in the series. This was his baby, his final gift to the world and us before passing
Personally I'd say the original Dragonball and Z manga is at least as involved in terms of directing the narrative, character and plot, even if it is a more detached influence, but it is very cool to think about him actually be involved with the production this time.

I saw some reports that Toriyama either did or was planning on undergoing brain surgery early 2024... His death wasn't announced for a full week after the fact. I can see this being a veiled announcement that his health was declining, while still maintaining a level of personal privacy.
I really appreciate this video. Not only did this video sparked HUGE interest in daima by showing the staff behind the show but this also have a great deal of educational info as well. I often come back to this video just to be reminded how stack the production was and it hyped me up every single time. Truly I thank you Mark.
This is the first "Everything you need to know about X" video I've felt that sufficiently lived up to the lofty title lol. Great job, learned a lot of really unique and relevant information for Daima. Stoked to see their production schedule is looking good.
It's crazy that people still hate JJK season 2 for production issues (while crying that the hype died its taking too long for aot or jjk or any hyped series) and dbz had it worst. Like JJK is boycotted by people but dbz had no expectations it could have come out any time. People still love dbz and hate jjk s2. I guess a few people run discourse on a series
@@nichescenes I would say that had a lot to do with a lot of the fans just missing dragon ball as a whole, and a lot of us didn't mind or noticed the errors from having our nostalgia goggles on and just enjoyed the ride, which sadly I think most people don't do anymore
@@VextheNinja 100% agree. People for some reason come into things on a curve. Thing I like, I'm coming in at a 7, thing I heard bad stuff about, coming in at a 3 and wanting to give it a 1. UGH overhyped, I'll be the judge...ugh this first ep is good but not the best, I like one piece more...what you say...I'm comparing a nostalgic 1100+ series to the first episode of a new show. UGH you just don't understand how to take criticism, fans think their shows are flawless, I just pointed out the issues XD. I'm exaggerating obviously for fun. But I agree with ya.
@@VextheNinja Your point is so spot on. Got me ranting. Perfectly sums up discourse online and why people think new media isn't as good as old even when we have tons of great stuff and had bad stuff in the past. Totally not mark brings up that first few eps of dbsuper and the animation a lot and it's always been a non issue for me. Like I skipped it and didn't hop on till the tournament not cause I don't like dbz, but all the fans kept telling me how trash it was. Come to watch it and binged, having a blast. All the complaints that its too slow and there are jokes and so on weren't affecting me as I was having a blast seeing an old friend again. So nostalgia goggles. The animation when you were young not being that important kinda thing. Like how scooby doo not having tons of sakuga didn't matter lol.
@@VextheNinja Sorry last bit, JJK season 2 (this will sound fanboy ish) and it's haters (just using jjk as an example, replace it with any hype show) seems to stem from it being a popular scapegoat (JJK beat AOT and one piece for most popular series of 2023 yet people threw a fit that it won AOTY. In perspective it was 2x as popular as AOT in it's peak. Though I get wanting a AOTY winner to be mind-blowingly unique and deep, popular stuff wins awards ain't something crazy) to point to all the woes of the industry. I watched an artist on youtube and she worked on jjk s2 and said yeah it was rough but a lot of them are, and they feel its unfairly labeled like they didn't do good work. They still animate their butt off and handed in great work. Just cause a few frames arent perfect people think the entire thing is a wash. It's weird way of media consumption I just got tired of outside of criticising like mark's videos. No matter the negativity I commend him and know he's coming from a positive place and enjoys media. He likes it to be a specific way sometimes (show don't tell, character driven>plot, concise action scenes) that I don't always agree is needed in all stories but he's genuine. Oh well just ranting thanks.
Daima is going to be special. I feel it. It's going to be one of those series that revives DB back to it's spot at the top, then the revival of Super will make everyone lose their minds for Moro/Granolah.
@@Wizofmincraft Wtf do you mean by that??? I am sad that this is his one his last projects and we can’t get anymore from him. Where did you get the idea I was shitting on it?
we haven't had an adventure arc in Dragon Ball in so long. I was genuinely excited for Daima since the announcement. For me this adventure has a different vibe though. Because it gives me a JRPG vibe and we never had an adventure arc like that in Dragon Ball before. So it also feels new to me. I just can't wait for Daima. Thank you for everything Akira Toriyama sensei. Rest in Peace 🧡
Toriyama falling in love with the show again after Super and deciding to return to his roots, to the wonderful sense of adventure in the original Dragon Ball, that's what true passion looks like.
@@JoshuaDMartiToriyama didn't give 2 sh**s about dragon ball after the namek saga. Which you would have known if you actually knew the dude. Wannabe edgelord.
It's incredibly poetic that Nakatsuru who worked on DB since episode 4 of the original Dragon Ball (When Oolong first appears) is the main character designer for DB Daima. As you said in the video. He is literally THE guy to go to for Dragon Ball design. He is literally the closest one to Toriyama's art style through and through. So i am sure that in a way, Toriyama can rest in peace knowing he left DB Daima in the hands of Katsuyoshi Nakatsuru.
I think you little confused nakamura drew gt not early dragon ball/z. Maeda is close then shintani because maeda art style more round less muscles density art which as more characters can move easier. I been watching dragon ball since 1997. You mustin watch since dragon ball in 2006 or later. Dragonball know for it Fighting adventure comedy
I love this Toei resurgence we've been getting these last couple of years. Reminding the rest of the industry how/why they became one of the biggest animation studios in the world.
And not just in animation, the last couple of Super Sentai series have been crazy awesome, especially last year's King-Ohger making a better Game of Thrones than the actual Game of Thrones series and it's prequel, I'm not apologizing
I know people are upset that we don’t get a continuation of Super, but with all the problems that series had and given Toriyama’s general lack of involvement in it, having his final contribution to the series be set as a direct timeline sequel to where he left the series off so many years ago is fitting and incredible and what we all wanted before Super ever started. I sure hope people come to appreciate this series and I’m glad you could help reassure people about it!
I love that there are monsters, weird janky robots, zany overlords, and raunchiness. The original Dragonball had story and adventure. You never knew what the heck Goku would encounter lol. I'm digging this angle. RIP Toriyama.
Feels like what Toei attempted to do with GT but with Toriyama actually at the helm. I love the original DB and I'm actually excited we are steering away from the impossible power scaling.
@@brodiethegoaty849 I can see why it could be uncomfortable and more of a product of its time especially in some areas, but I'd say it was done a little better than other shonen old man pervert stereotypes. Roshi as far as I know has never actually been successful with women and most of the jokes are about how his attempts always never land with him getting his just desserts (smacked, punched, shot at, flushed down a toilet lol, etc.) while also making him a likeable and good character who is a great teacher when serious, a masterful fighter, and a guy who despite originally being a hermit learned to make genuine friendships as many of the crew just ended up moving in with him. He's sacrificed himself on many occasions and is the reason Goku got where he is today.
Knowing how much love and care is going into Daima, plus seeing all the returning veterans, makes me even more excited. It's gonna be awesome! Rest in peace, Toriyama.
Unfortunately, with Toriyama's death, Dragon Ball Daima will have a very difficult task. On the one hand, this is an opportunity to create hype over the latest project in which Toriyama was personally involved. On the other after unfortunate events, this raises the stakes and interest in the show. This will also be a tribute to OG DB. And it never ceases to frustrate and surprise me at the same time how mixed this project will be and I just hope that it will be very successful and good in many aspects. Fans shouldn't miss this!
Yeah without a doubt this series now has a tremendous pressure to make sure it's gonna be a good experience and Toriyama's legacy will be respected. But i have faith in them, after watching the video and everything we know, even before the news of Toriyama's passing this was a high priority project with a lot of talented people in there not only animation wise but also direction wise so even more now they are gonna put their everything in Daima
Diamonds come out with enough pressure. Have faith in the production team and wish them a smooth sail in the journey of making the anime. Good luck, Toei and to the active contributors.
Let’s not forget Toriyama also said he wrote down several stories, ideas and designs in dragon ball that he never went back to so who know he may contribute after death as well if someone takes his ideas like Toyatoro
Ngl you seem like the only one trying to hard carry hype for it, and I do really appreciate the info behind it because it does make sense that it started as a promotional series for a SD (Super Deformed) equivalent toy line that Gundam's known for. Wanting to be optimistic especially if Toriyama involved himself heavily on it. But at the same time it's hard *not* to question why they aren't continuing Super yet in anime form, especially now that there's two full arcs and a prequel arc to the Super Heroes movie, as well as additional content added to the Super Hero movie + post-Super Hero content.
They gathered the Avengers of "DB animation" and I just can't wait to see the results ! You guys did an amazing job with that video, the script was clear and really easy to follow. I hope we will get a "Thank you Akira Toriyama" screen, at the end of Daima
I have a feeling that Toriyama knew he didnt have much time before he left this world, and decided to ensure that his most famous creation would be left with a bang.
he died of a sudden head injury, he couldnt have known. its a miracle he decided to put this much effort into a project, and a tragedy that he had no idea it would be his last.

Mark, as someone who's always been hyped for Daima,, thank you and your entire production team for this video. I've noticed a largely negative reaction to Daima so far from the Western fandom judging it off the basis that "Oh no! Goku's a kid again, this must be nothing more than GT Redux." I've never understood this take because 1) the show's not even out yet and 2) every single sneak peek and piece of behind the scenes info we get looks wonderful, and I haven't been this excited for a Dragon Ball project in a while.
I've noticed that too. People seem to forget the entirety of Dragon Ball. In the west, a lot of people haven't even seen or read the original DB... I just got done rewatching it. It's even better than I remember. Goku taking down the entire Red Ribbon Army to bring back to life Upa's father. Climbing Korin's tower. Goku eating EVERYTHING. Lol
@@TayoEXE Exactly! Most Western fans have only seen Z, and even then they haven't seen all of it, getting most of their info on the story through video games, or fan made forums where misinformation is basically self sustaining in a never ending cycle of "Well I heard..." and "I read somewhere..." with no one ever citing a source, or if they do, it's always some nebulous interview with Toriyama that they can't find and may not have ever even happened. Not to mention how few have actually read the manga, and actually still hold dated misconceptions like Kurinin naming his daughter after his ex, not realizing that said ex was never canon to begin with. Or the people that think only the things are 100% canon are worth discussing come to think of it, but that's a whole other can of worms. Sorry for the mini rant, but as a Western Dragon Ball fan, I have a little bit of gripes with some of my cohorts. Also, I'm not saying you have to know everything about Dragon Ball to be a fan, just that you shouldn't judge something for not being Dragon Ball without knowing what Dragon Ball has been.
As much as I wanted a continuation of DBS, I really am hyped to see what Daima has to share after watching this video because I was scared it was going to turn out looking like the early days of DBS. I didn't see Daima as a GT Redux (because I never saw GT) but I saw it as its own thing that wasn't what the general public wanted over here in the west. I still can't wait to see what this show has in store at the end of this year.
@@geeked5883 That's the right attitude to have. You should watch GT if you can, as it has some of the best ideas for Dragon Ball stories in the franchise, even if they aren't executed very well. Not to mention that it has the best ending in the franchise so far, feeling like a definitive cap to Goku's story. Just know that it's a sequel to the animated continuity, and contradicts Toriyama's manga in several ways, some quite glaring. Even though it's been ousted from continuity by Super, it still has it's own ideas that are worth discussing.
Your entire comment just sounds like “Oh but look guys!! It looks so visually pleasing!!” I don’t care about this take on Goku when we still haven’t finished the Black Frieza arc or even had any of that animated. I’ll watch this purely because Toriyama passed so I wanna give it a chance. I’m not saying OG DragonBall was bad, but it was DBZ that made it blow up in the west for a reason. Yes,DBS is written poorly but why can’t they just take their time with this final arc and show it the love it deserves as the final canon adventure of Goku & co??
Given what we've seen of the american animation industry adopting the worst of the japanese animation industry's practices, I'm really glad toei turned over a new leaf. While I worry about Suicide Squad Isekai's overall quality as it completely misunderstands the assigment, looks like the pros are coming out of retirement to show the world how it's done.
Just wanna say real quick, THANK THE DRAGON GOOOOD, that Toei got their sh*t together in time (by that time lol) when they produced DQ The Adventure of Dai 2020. I was waiting for that series to get something new for years and it got the treatment it WHOLEHEARTEDLY deserved 🥺😭
I hope Toriyama-sama got to be part of all of the writing. Still, big credit to all the animators. I think this is one of the best looking anime I've ever seen.
He’s notes were so vague that anyone who read them got different ideas of what to do. That’s literally why the manga and anime of super are completely different
Glad Toei learned from their muck ups on Super and is actually taking time to produce their shows. And its becoming more clear that Toriyama took a more direct involvement in Dragon Ball with Daima as a Swan Song since he knew he was ill.
10:33 the western title for what this job description is is called a script supervisor. They are usually the ones who call out continuity errors and fix editing to make storylines flow together in film and tv. Usually.
The Urusei Yatsura reboot is incredible. It keeps the tone and style of Rumiko Takahashi's manga from the 80s but the way the jokes and romance are written in the reboot keeps the show fresh . So glad that the writer is on board for Daima!! Also RIP Toriyama you absolute legend
@@lexecomplexe4083 Depends. The original had the luxury granted of having several episodes that made expanding on the manga a lot easier but it also meant weird deviations sometimes. It was still pretty good and enjoyable though. The reboot has better animation quality and is much more faithful to the manga so it depends on your preference whether you're okay with watching through several episodes in a sitting
this video really turned my doubt for Daima, I am now very excited to see it and I'm pleased to see that the animation is in good hands. It should be enjoyable regardless
One of the people here who were excited for Diama from the start I genuinely can’t wait for daima it looks so fun and brings back memories of og dragonball
If anything, the currently airing on disney+ SAND LAND anime adds even more crumbs to the HYPE sandwich. The movie part of the series was a very competent adaptation of a one shot we already knew was good, but while the new series exclusive arc has a major downgrade in direction and production (not anything shameful, just a "normal" tv series production juxtaposed to a movie cut into episodes), the arc and story provided by toriyama makes me more excited than ever for daima, having a chance to see modern toriyama's world breathing and walking, with a fully developped story over "new excuse for one (1) big fight to happen". God speed, toei
Honestly I’m so happy Daima seems to be taking things back to OG Dragon Ball, even a lot of the elements from Super Hero felt a lot like OG DB. It makes me even more excited to see how this is gonna turn out
So ironic that Toriyamas first Dragonball project was Goku as a kid and his last Dragonball project is also Goku as a kid. Talk about full circle siigghhhh
Toriyama is possibly the creative I admire the most. There's so many things he made look so easy: humor, pacing, composition, character design, atmosphere, action and infectious inspiration.
Thanks for this video. I’m not like a super fan of DB but i did grow up with it and how you address the story and Toriyama’s passing was great done. Kudos for you
The final project from Akira Toryiamas work… RIP and Ty. After hearing who is working on this series and the improvements done at Toei I’m even more excited. Planning on watching through all dragon ball and Z before it releases. 🐉
I don't like Super, at all, but I still wish it got the respect the franchise deserved during production. Dragon Ball has touched countless hearts, children and adults, in a very special way. I watched Super, even though I did not like much of it, simply because of my love for the franchise. Toriyama's work deserves proper respect and reverence, especially now. People who have passion for and understand the power of this juggernaut franchise should be calling the shots. No more soul shattering crunch. Let the animators breath their love into their work. I hope I enjoy Daima more than Super, but regardless, I will be watching with love in my heart for the creator of this franchise and all involved in bringing it to life. It's heartbreaking that this is one of the last, if not the last project of his we'll get to see. But it's beautiful that he was so involved in its creation and we get to experience such a thing at least one more time.
This video legitimately got me hyped for Daima. I'm so happy it's bringing some of the goats from the past, and other shows for this. Toriyama gonna be smiling down on us with this one.
This was set to be the year of Toriyama. Sand land anime and game coming out. Super about to start to work on new content. Daima coming out. It's still his year, hopefully he sees it from the drawing table in the sky.
Toriyama's passing brought me to revisit the series (I'd never read Super because the anime's writing turned me off when it revised BotG, I should've known the manga would be leagues better!). Reading through the trilogy together and watching the movies he wrote has been such a treat and such a great reminder of why I fell so in love with it all those years ago. I had only really heard about Daima in passing, but this video made me so excited (and deeply unprepared to feel his loss again) to see it. Thanks for this! Very informational and exciting.
19:23 I've considered my self a Dragonball fan for over 5 years now and I can finally witness a weekly DB show. Feels wierd hearing Mark talk about new fans and then realizing I am technically part of these "new fans" lmao (also Mark, hope I made you feel old with that one lol)
That animation looks freaking amazing that's what I've been waiting for all this time I wish there was more of super saiyan blue and ultra instinct with this quality . I also like this will not be just a tournament , but more good story telling that has been missing since dragonball z in my opinion.
It pains me to see so many people mindlessly ripping on this series. This looks like one of the best pieces of dragon ball media in a long long time. I really look forward to it.
I’m just now looking into Damia. I just hate how they dumbed goku down in super to appeal to kids. And changing them into kids just turns away my interest. Was done once in GT with Goku and all the children stuff just doesn’t appeal to me. All my opinion and hopefully there’s something for me to enjoy in it.
2:50 agreed, why as an adult I kind of started disliking Dragon Ball. I too like action as much as the next person... but there needs to be purpose behind it. I disliked Z on rewatches, Buu saga I did enjoy watching for the 1st time... pffff 8 years ago. Super though intense and the fights can be fun from that... when they get dragged out, and there's no consequences. I constantly think of Roshi having a "death scare" in the ToP... I love Roshi, one of my favorite characters... but I felt almost nothing because there were no stakes. OG DB though I do love and love to rewatch. For same reasons you mentioned, it's an adventure. The journey makes the joy, when there's a fight, a tournament, it makes it sweeter. When someone has a near death or does die experience you feel the weight, even on rewatching, especially when bringing back to the dead was either a 1 time thing or not a guarantee, they had to freeze Krillin and Roshi to prevent decomposition, otherwise they may have not came back to life or not as themselves, as zombies with the wish. ... I can't speak on GT lol, I remember loving it for similar reasons... but I'm too afraid to rewatch it as an adult lol. The ending though, mwah I have rewatched and do think is a perfect send off. Just that final fight against Omega Shenron, maybe Nuova since it's the 4 star ball, it means something to us and Goku, then Goku leaving with Shenron. Toriyama voiced this as well post Super, and it's why Broly's movie and Super Hero had a motivation to push our heroes to unlock new forms or Gogeta being... more canon than he was before lol, since Z fusion Reborn is ehhh not likely canon, and GT... depends on who you ask. There was purpose, reason, a journey from point A to point B. So if Toriyama put his all into Daima post Broly and Super Hero... This could be one of the best Dragon Ball things ever. Even if it isn't, I'm going to give it the respect it deserves as his final push to go even further beyond.
I didn't finish the digimon tri movies, but digimon as a whole franchise, as a fan myself, feels like whoever is in charge of the brand is struggling to figure out what to *do* with the IP, whether that be just "in general" or in trying to grow the brand positively, imo
Honestly I think the next project should be a modern reanimation of dragon ball with the filler cut out closely fallowing the manga all the way though. You could even make updates to the story to fix the retcons. Doing this I think would give people creating dragon ball in the future an understanding of it.
Bro, just wanted to say that I really appreciate you pronouncing Japanese names correctly. Such a rare thing in the anime RUclipsr space that's always rubbed me the wrong way
Hey mark. Great work on this. you definitely turned me around on daima.I'm very excited for the future of dragon ball. As an aside, I'd love a series of Digimon videos as it's something that I've always loved. And is way better than anyone gives it credit for.
@@whotfduece08 Yeah sure. But i watched parts of dbz again and for example when Frieza survives the spirit bomb and shoots Piccolo and kills Krillin the tension is so high, you just feel it, followed by a classic moment with Goku turning SS. In Super i never have any moments of tension. Frieza returns, Jiren is stronger, whatever, always feels like they will just power up some more and they will make it. I do like the sense of humor in Super and Beerus is a great character.
Super Broly`s success changed Toei for the better a lot, even series who historically always were made on the cheap like Digimon, suddenly got consistent quality animation, not to mention how unbelievable One Piece looks for a weekly show. Glad Toriyama managed to live long enough to make what looks like is his personal vision.
Watching dragon ball super weekly was such a core memory for me nothing was like it, i hope it's the same for daima so i really can't wait for it now after your video especially. Thanks mark
Rest in power Akira Toriyama sir. Thank for this video Mark, this information that you shared has me more exited for Diama. Btw I had no idea there were so many dragon ball v jump covers, so i can't really guess them but time to do some research.
I wasnt that excited that excited for this series until I saw this video. Thanks Mark! I follow the dragon ball scene, know most of these staff mentioned, get as much knowledge I have from lore, animation behind the scenes, love the original DB, heck I do completive DBFZ. But I didnt even know these people were involved! It was all thanks to your video now im super hyped!
I'm gonna compile a list of people who were shitting on Daima, who suddenly changed their minds on it when Toriyama died. I myself have been aboard the Daima train since day one.
People write off GT saying Toriyama had no involvement, but he did design the worlds, the characters, all the studio did was really make a plot to get from his A planet to B planet, even the name he came up with. With that being said this shows just from the trailer to be going a similar direction. While Toriyama didn't hate, and did actually like GT to some extent... think it was the right call and why he went full in on this. Even if he liked it, so the fans weren't disappointed with another GT. I just hope this wasn't why he passed, like usual Japanese workers, putting their everything into it that drives them literally to kill themselves. I'm sure Toriyama had more freedom than the average worker obviously, and I am excited for it... I just hope that this wasn't the reason why, that he pushed himself to go even further beyond, did... but at a cost. That this is the most he put into it, probably since the og DB, even more so since he like you said did involve himself on the anime side of things too, not just letting his manga getting adapted. Even if it turns out bad, unlikely but IF... I hope people still give it the respect it deserves.

this really feels like Toriyama knew this would be his final Dragon Ball work, the involvement, the call for an All-Star crew, the need to let them cook, the very idea of this show being The Peak Toriyama since the first arc of the original Journey to the West parody that was the OG Manga
Tri is definitely divisive in the Digimon community. Speaking on just the writing it feels like it gets the focus wrong, flanking the interpersonal conflicts that made Adventure so beloved on both sides with dense worldbuilding that fleshes out lore our heroes barely had a part in.
Really a shame that Toriyama had to unfortunately PASS AWAY so most of his so-called "fans" could understand that they have to give a new project the chance to at least RELEASE before spitting uneeded hate. For many years so many people tried their hardest to deny Toriyama's efforts while working on Super by either saying they would ignote because of Toei who wanted more free money whilw doing the minum or that it was all just Toyotarou's fault that Dragon Ball "is lame now" so they could have a free pass to shit on "modern dragon ball" and the first thing that you all did when Daima was announced was to shit on it even when Toriyama clearly gave his all for it too, and it hasn't even dropped yet.
Really true, dude! DB fans are sometimes the most ungrateful and toxic fans ever. For that particular crowd of people, my take is that it’s all about the anime muscles for them, and the shiny-colored hair.

@HoodedLefty It makes sense that Toriyama is so involved. Daima is obviously inspired by OG DragonBall which Akira Toriyama obviously loved.
we haven't had an adventure arc in Dragon Ball in so long. I was genuinely excited for Daima since the announcement. For me this adventure has a different vibe though. Because it gives me a JRPG vibe and we never had an adventure arc like that in Dragon Ball before. So it also feels new to me. I just can't wait for Daima.

Right? I’m so excited for more dragon ball adventures again. Last time was like the opening arc in GT, and that wasn’t great lol

I love this Toei resurgence we've been getting these last couple of years. Reminding the rest of the industry how/why they became one of the biggest animation studios in the world.
A position they themselves ended up backing out of.
They’ve got a _lot_ of work to do to catch up and be taken seriously.

Glad to spot some Octopath Traveler 2 ost in this video. Ochette The Hunter is such a banger.

Imagine the final episode ending with a fade to black with text saying "Thank you, Toriyama Sensei"
That would be beautiful
Oh it will
Absolutely will
100% will
I mean it’d take 1 minute to produce so I don’t know about beautiful but definitely very respectful to his legacy
Dont make me cry from now, the show is not even out yet
Ngl you seem like the only one trying to hard carry hype for it, and I do really appreciate the info behind it because it does make sense that it started as a promotional series for a SD (Super Deformed) equivalent toy line that Gundam's known for.
Wanting to be optimistic especially if Toriyama involved himself heavily on it. But at the same time it's hard *not* to question why they aren't continuing Super yet in anime form, especially now that there's two full arcs and a prequel arc to the Super Heroes movie, as well as additional content added to the Super Hero movie + post-Super Hero content.
I am excited for daima then. super

Mark, you've single-handedly amped up my hype for this show! I cannot wait until we get to watch it. You and your team are amazing, keep it up ❤
I went from not thinking about this since it was 1st announced, to watching your video and now I'm anticipating this so much. Great video, man
Mark, as someone who's always been hyped for Daima,, thank you and your entire production team for this video.
It looks so visually pleasing!!”
I don’t care about this take on Goku when we still haven’t finished the Black Frieza arc or even had any of that animated.
Daima looks like a homage and masterpiece to what toriyama truely wanted dragon ball tovbe before getting caught up with all the absurd stuff
Yes! Now that you made this video we can expect new Daima info this coming week.

I just wanna know why they young tho

I wasn't hyped for daima until now.
Honestly I think the next project should be a modern reanimation of dragon ball with the filler cut out closely fallowing the manga all the way though. Thank for this video Mark, this information that you shared has me more exited for Diama.
Btw
I had no idea there were so many dragon ball v jump covers, so i can't really guess them but time to do some research.

Rest in Peace, Akira Toriyama
Mark you kill every video and I appreciate your content 👍
I'm gonna compile a list of people who were shitting on Daima, who suddenly changed their minds on it when Toriyama died. I myself have been aboard the Daima train since day one.
It’s kinda crazy how this video took me from a meh excitement to actually looking forward to this series
I liked super.
I also loved Super. But it did have some goofy ass animations
@JackKirby-pp8me that's what made it awesome
Wiggidy character development and storylines… pure power creep… no build up for payoffs. Just instant transformations off the rip.
@@MotivationYTT😂😂😂
How old are you?
I hope people still give it the respect it deserves.
so beautiful that the last show is returning to the roots of dragon ball man.. literally crying, rip Akira Toriyama :(
bro i am tearing up right now. he did this for us :'( RIP Sensei
I was looking forwards to Daima before, but now I am hyped!
I believe I'll introduce Dragon Ball to my daughter with Daima. Then we'll back with Goku meeting Bulma
Nah introduce it to her in order. Db then dbz then daima then super man.
I am just loving the excitement in your voice
Am I the only one who doesn’t care about Daima and wants super to continue? There’s no way everyone’s hyped for another series to take the spotlight when we’ve been waiting for the continuation of super.
Dude I totally agree. I'm not even pumped for this.
100% with you on this, like is super just getting retconned? Do we ever get to see moro arc? I really don't care for them breaking continuity. Wont be watching, most db fans are above 20 yrs old this childish animation put me off the instant I saw it. Bunch of walking funko pops
@@jonathanhelsten171 amen. I won’t hate on the project too much bc it was apparently Toriyamas last… but we had something going and we’ve been waiting ever since.
i couldnt be happier its not an continuation of super
I overall enjoyed super.. I just felt like the ending was the setup for things to come. It felt like there was so much more meat on the bone
I didn’t know that super had that bad of a schedule nor did I know that Daima has been animating episodes since 2022. This was a really informative video that helped me become even more excited for Daima!
this really feels like Toriyama knew this would be his final Dragon Ball work, the involvement, the call for an All-Star crew, the need to let them cook, the very idea of this show being The Peak Toriyama since the first arc of the original Journey to the West parody that was the OG Manga
Mark i miss your consistent videos , i drive all day long and watch youtube, you and Supereyepatchwolf are my favorite creators thanks for all your work, got me through alot of days.
