Dont. People have already dug into this device. 1. On many phones. The hottest part isnt even under this device. 2. What it uses to get those exterior temps is extremely inefficient. 3. Actual effective cooling requires contact with the device. Now heres the thing. What heats up the most is the SoC which this device make no contact with and as stated in #1 sometimes doesnt even cover. This guy check the exterior temps. Well i can check AC pipes and they can have ice on them and the house be 104 You have to check the internal temps including the sensors for the SoC. Which will probably tell us this thing is garbage.

I think it might have adhesive on the bottom to attach it to your smartphone. Also newer chips can get hot from what I've heard, especially on 3D games.
It probably has a thermoelectric element in it, which can heat one side and cool the other while overall generating heat. So if the fan is keeping the hot side cool enough, the cold side can cool that low.
What a completely unscientific way of testing performance. You didn't test temps on the SOC.. there's no thermal conductivity between the back housing and the SOC at all. No test in FPS to see if it stops throttling either.. This sounds completely sponsored lol

The cooler isn’t even over the A15 chip which is more to the side and up on the phone. Looking at the cooling area you’ve shown, this would do nothing except destroy your battery, which is what’s actually being cooled there
For some games I can actually feel and see them start to thermal throttle. In genshin impact in my case. My iPhone 13 pro max on all high settings and with 120 fps turned on it will last about 3-5 minutes before it gets so hot it feels like the game is lagging so damn bad. If i put the phone in front of any fan the frame drops will go away.
@@jls.mp4 it ain't cap. Apples only management for cooling is through software to thermal throttle the CPU and GPU. And it's straight up something you can feel.
That's cool and all, but to be sure on how effective it is, i think you should check the internal temperature and the performance in games, not just the case temperature
What you need to be testing is the actual side effects of overheating (Display goes down in refresh, dims to keep the battery from exploding, things you've definitely noticed when playing intensive games at max settings on high end phones, even modern low end phones honestly). If the fan keeps the device from turning stuff down to maintain temperatures and core stability, it's doing its job. If it doesn't, it's useless.

I would more recommend getting the temp through the screen to see if it's cooling more than the exact spot it's at
It's not actually cooling down anything... You would need to cool down graphics or procesor in order for this to work ..

It would be cool if the fan didn’t need a cable and could just run off of the power that MagSafe provides.
That'd be bad. If the cooler extracts energy from the phone, that'll heat up the phone because the battery emits more heat.
peltier coolers are very power hungry (10 to 80 watts), delivering that amount of power wirelessly would be inefficient/produce lots of heat
The cord isn't just for the fan. It's for the tec. And iphomes don't support back powering using wireless charging. That's a Samsung feature.

Well i can check AC pipes and they can have ice on them and the house be 104
You have to check the internal temps including the sensors for the SoC. Which will probably tell us this thing is garbage.

There is no way a fan is cooling down to -4 degrees
they can just send the heat to somewhere else, so it has to be -4 in room
Ye. Something's not right here.
It probably has a thermoelectric element in it, which can heat one side and cool the other while overall generating heat. So if the fan is keeping the hot side cool enough, the cold side can cool that low.
@@charyenne I believe you're right. Neat application for those small coolers.
Did he mean it dropped 4⁰ from its starting temp?
Can I attach like 50 of these on my body so that way I don't die of heat stroke during the summer?
What a completely unscientific way of testing performance. You didn't test temps on the SOC.. there's no thermal conductivity between the back housing and the SOC at all. No test in FPS to see if it stops throttling either..
This sounds completely sponsored lol
I highly doubt a little fan is hitting -4 degrees. That's below freezing of water. Or is there some more technology there besides a fan?
Edit: Peltier devices are cool and I learned about them today!
its freezing to the touch. Thermal cam doesnt lie
It's using thermoelectric cooler, which is basically thing that uses electricity to extract the energy from one side to the other, which makes it so one side is really cold and the other really warm.

Ultimate test is genshin impact, if your phone doesn't cook, its good
The cooler isn’t even over the A15 chip which is more to the side and up on the phone. Looking at the cooling area you’ve shown, this would do nothing except destroy your battery, which is what’s actually being cooled there
The processor is passively cooled by the chasis….
bruh the iPhone 13 doesnt even overheat.
Even through intense editing and long recording. This tool might be useful on a iPhone 4 tho
For some games I can actually feel and see them start to thermal throttle. In genshin impact in my case. My iPhone 13 pro max on all high settings and with 120 fps turned on it will last about 3-5 minutes before it gets so hot it feels like the game is lagging so damn bad.
