Hi Earl for best chrome results use a gloss back primer the difference is huge looks way better as well as rc I used to make gundam and star wars models so spent years air brushing . All the best darrall Ps your need to out a clear top coat over it as its pretty fragile and will come off very easy
Testors used to make a chrome spray paint for plastic models. I used it once back around 1989 on the wheels for a Tamiya Blackfoot. Wasn't quite as shiny as actual chromed plastic, but sure looked a lot better than the stock yellow wheels did.
Sometimes it’s easier to just pull the tip off and shake a little of the liquid onto a paper plate or something and use a paintbrush very small one and do it that way
I have a outcast 8s fully aluminized and the parts i couldn't get for it in aluminum like spoiler ,front bumper and side guards. I air sprayed those parts with same product, now when w/out body it looks like a complete piece of metal. Pretty damn cool. For best results, spray that paint on and you'll see a tremendous change.
I usually let the liquid out on a piece of plastic and use a small paint brush to apply it. A lot easier and reaches those tight places better too. Need a good amount on the brush and use nice smooth strokes
You can get this at hobby lobby. They range from 10 to 12 dollars a pen. Be careful you don’t push the pin in while you’re riding on the wheel it will release a big glob of the paint and it will run everywhere lol. If you’re on when Donte does his next wife I’ll jump on and show you a bunch of the stuff on chromed with them
I've been using these for years now and proline has a how to on their RUclips channel as well. I used this on my spektrum dx5 pro 2021 transmitter wheels looks sick
I like the 1mm and the 4 mm. You’ll notice also if you go back over some spots and it’s not completely dry you’ll remove what you’ve already done. You should try the mirror ones they are really sweet looking.
Actually looks quite good 👌 not quite the chrome as the others are, but not bad at all. Imagine you could use that for say window trims on the body and stuff like that too. Takes a bit of time, but could easily sit down in the evening and do a wheel at a time.
It's an improvement, but unfortunately that paint is time consuming and is not durable like Pro-Line's or Traxxas' chrome is or was. It will dull over time. Certain companies just need to make chrome wheels again. They should have never stopped. For those that don't like chrome, it's extremely easy for an average person to take it off an rc wheel with a spray, but basically impossible to put it on like a company would. Chrome should be the norm or default like it was years ago, not the no contrast plain cheap all black look that is now far too common.
When you doing 60+ you won't even notice the missed spots!🤣🤣🤣 Looks great Buddy!💪🏾🔥
Aluminum look👍

I was just about to say clear coat it otherwise very shortly it'll look like chrome that needs a good polishing
The problem is the clear coat will likely ruin the near chrome effect.
I love getting that notification 3:30 in the morning Great video Earl thank you for the entertainment 👍👊💯
Not much pressure but a lot of patience 😁 Another Great Video

Works best over gloss black and you can spray it through an airbrush for better results.
Wow! that looks great I am impressed. It’s a Must try 👊👊💯💯

Looks good, it'd be interested to see how it looks after a second coat. 😎
Great video brother thank you!!!
Definitely takes a while to let it dry good. I used some on one of mine not long ago and kept messing it up to see if it was dry lmao
That actually was a pretty impressive finish. On camera looks awesome. Is it good in person ? Lots of fun applications that can be had.
Yes looks food in person as well
I seen some people empty the liquid chrome into an airbrush and spray it also
I see you must have gone for a manicure with those baby soft looking fingahs 😳 WHERE THE GREASE AT
Lol
they have a paint called Mirror always wanted to try that
I have some pretty good chrome airbrush paint i use on my 3d prints...has a real mirror finish
Not quite chrome, but looks good enough 👍Starting with big pen first might save time 🤷
Seen these markers on Adam Savage tested seem to be the way to go.
Sweet! 😎👍
Looks got I was thinking about using so spatiz ultimate chrome spray so what I've uses it has can out impressive what's your thoughts
Definitely show/shelf wheels not for road/track 👍🏾
Do you think you can over it with a small buffing wheel on a dremel to make it shine more???
No it’s not thick enough
Nice!!
Cool
👍
I own a redcat 1979 Monte Carlo and I want to Chrome the chassis
