      I have that same mentality when I play basketball. I only pump fake realistic shots. Even tho I can score from half court, there’s no use in pump faking from there. Or pump faking some sort of ridiculous trick shot

    3. You dodge and counter

    Just Jab 3 times and than pretend like you're Jabbing the 4th time but throw a Huck or a lower Jab or something else; and that will be a good Feint or Fake strike if you do it Right.

  • @robscott351
    @robscott351 10 месяцев назад

    Another thing that can really help your feinting and combinations are cadence changes. Once you get your opponent to react to (fall in to or mirror the cadence you have set), speeding it up on the actual attack will leave him having to play "catch up" to the speed of your movements. Also having a quick cadence or essence of your movements and suddenly pausing or hesitating can work very well also. I remember hearing very fast fighters like Ryan Garcia for example say they sometimes have to slow down a little to set their opponents up...

    • @Nergal123
      @Nergal123 3 года назад +1

      A good tip I've heard is to use about 80-85% power, it's more energy efficient and hits pretty much as hard as long as your snapping. For hook make sure you are turning your toes, hips, torso, even shoulder in like 90 degrees and that your elbow is almost perpendicular to your hand so that it's structure is good. With uppercut you can try doing a bolo uppercut which I believe he has a video for, but it is more telegraphed. And with uppercut your rear heel almost touches the ground and then goes up while turning inwards, kind of like when you are about to jump in the air. And it's thrown with a feeling like its shooting out of your body rather than your shoulder/arm(this is for any punch).

    • @derpmckfinklseton2013
      @derpmckfinklseton2013 3 года назад +1

      Make sure your hips and shoulders are staying inside of your knees. If you can't reach use your feet. Sounds to me like you are struggling staying inside your base. Widen your stance if you have to. Especially if you're only boxing you can use really wide stance.
