100% agree dude atmosphere was amazing especially added with the soundtrack thay really gave you that.solo run hours late trying to find your team vibe and then the flash backs and the way Virgil talks to.you showing you special audio logs and shit just ugh that and halo 2 are in my oppnion the absolute best as far as story and campaign vibes
listening to this just makes me reminisce how simpler times used to be. I just remember playing with my friends all day after school and not having a single ounce of worry in life. The bond we used to have just from playing Halo.... man I miss it. But I'm also grateful I got to experience every single moment that I did. Just as i'm typing this, I am getting flashbacks. Reach is a special game- all of these are, but Reach especially so. It was Bungie’s last Halo title. I remember playing back in 2010 and you could feel just how much effort and love was put into that game. I have very fond memories of Reach and miss those days.

My dad used to play halo with his friends, I'm fifteen and I have been playing halo for three years now. I cant really say that I experienced that but I sure did miss out. Luckily my dad introduced me to this wonderful piece of art! We sometimes play on the weekends cuz im usually busy with hw. George2000 I still play Halo Reach matchmaking all the time! You can still find a game with no problem! Reach will never die as long as we play it. Can’t believe the day I put Halo Reach in on September 14th there were over 1,000,000 active players and every single friend on Xbox was playing Reach. The excitement was real. The good old days. Never will there be a game like Halo 3 or Reach again, but I will continue to play Reach until the day I cannot find another fucking game!
The first music you hear, I always hated that mission as a kid. After leaving the drop pod I would just sneak around and if I saw an enemie, I would freak out and hide at spawn. And the music was no help. It made me even more scared. Oh and it was at night.

When me and my brother first got a 360 in feb 2010 (not long after ODST was released) it came with the game and we couldn’t get past the first part of the first mission due to a grunt flying out of no where with plasma grenades and scaring us to death... since then I’ve played all halo games and now re-playing them all on my Xbox one on the master chief collection. (the 360 died recently)
I don't think I have found anyone who can capture both the powerful and peacefulness of video game soundtracks. So many times, playlists either don't flow from one song to the next, or are just a constant blare of overwhelming, powerful music. You really do a great job putting all of these together and making the music tell a story. Would love to see you tackle the Souls games soundtrack.

More and more casual players are around this they usually play for campaigns and barely pay attention, or they play multiplayer because that's what everyone else is doing. This ALL links to the problem with Halo. Lastly, I trust a company that dailed to hold it's promises? I don't recall me knowing of it's promises. If anything the things I know about it is that they are starting to listen more and not do it because of money or mass player intake. Having a game that's booking for a few months will not make it memorable. That's what's wrong once again with the market. The Halo 5 campaign is the biggest marketing scam I've ever seen but that's ONLY because us fans are fugging retarded and let our imagination shoot too far. Even then the writing was bad, but yet their obviously learning from it. So that's my stance. Take it or leave it.
When High charity comes on it really hits me, spending hours with my friends playing split screen, ordering dominos and drinking soda till 3 am. Man halo will always be apart of my life.
Epilogue (Halo 2) really got me. Lost my best friend last month, and him and I poured hundreds of hours into halo together. As the old saying goes, Spartans never die, they're just missing in action. Miss you bud

Halo was an enormous part of my childhood growing up, especially because it resulted in me forming a very strong friendship. Now, I just recently bought an xbox and I'm gonna be able to play the Halo games for the first time in nearly 9 years, and it makes me so happy

Everyone seems to be touched on even an emotional level with this franchise, and it's absolutely wonderful. I can't stress out how the music of ODST is so emblematic. O'Donnell and Salvatori really worked hard on it.Sadly the series as turned pretty lame with the 5th installment but the music in the first 4 will always be marked in my memory. The theme song of Halo 1, just wonderful! It really brings back nostalgia of my teenage years. Those were masterpieces. Correct that those will ALWAYS be masterpieces!

Hits me hard. I remember the good times I had with friends, particularly this one online friend. I don't know his full gamer tag, I have forgotten it after my first account stopped working. Anyways his name was something like "mideagle". He was probably my first halo friend in general. He helped me with halo 4's campaign on legendary and it was nice to because I was scared to try it out at the time. I was 12, lol. Currently, I am 17 now, almost 18 in a few months and I still enjoy playing halo. To continue from rambling, because it seems like I am, that friend of mine was a great person, made many memories with him, especially playing flood, loved the crap at of it, and is the reason I love halo as my favorite video game ever. I can't find him anymore but sometimes i try to by looking at my friends Xbox list that has my old account and checking my old account of the previous friends I had. You get the Point. I feel the same way man except with my brother. I have so many good memories with him. I got so good at halo because he was a professional halo 3 player and now that he got a Xbox one and we play mcc together it brings back good memories and it just feels awesome.

Yah, I totally understand. I love the halo franchise so much because of the epic story and the memories. I kind of feel like a loner sometimes due to the fact that I think halo 5's story is totally awesome though.
Music from the gears of war saga and halo saga are some of the beast soundtracks ever made in probably video game history because of the impact it had on the player during the game. Like in gears of war, the music was amazing because of how much they made it feel like the end of humanity is upon them. In halo, the music gives you that feel that if you're going down you might as well go out with a bang. That's what games need nowadays and also a good campaign just like the classic games back in the day.
In my own respectful opinion, Halo for me has the most beautiful soundtrack among all games I have played throughout my entire life of gaming. It really sets the mood and how the music sets the emotions in the story Halo. Every time I listen to the soundtrack I bet every fan out there closes their eyes and prayed for Halo to become a damn movie.

Halo is honestly my favourite game series, not to mention the music is just perfect at every part in the game further immersing you into it's world. Personally halo 2 was my favourite as it introduced the arbiter, halo 3 was the ending of halo to me it wrapped everything up and they finished the fight
Can't say that I've been playing halo since I was a child, although I did play Reach a lot, and was obsessed with it. I got the Halo master chief collection for pc and spent all christmas playing it. One of the best times ever. Now this soundtrack brings a lot of memories and I love it.
I am so very late, but I played through Reach for the first time a few days ago. It's the only game that's ever been able to get to me emotionally, and I'm painting Menachite Mountain on my bedroom wall. I love these games so much.

"Another Walk" is so majestic. Such a great into to the H3 campaign. This game was magnitudes greater than other games back then (and still is) The only thing MCC lacks is a population and needs less cheaters.
It'a incredible how you can almost tell Halo's story and lore only with the musics. So perfectly introduced, legends composed them, for a legendary game.. to me it's impossible to transmit emotions better than with Halo musics

The piano version of Ghosts and Glass always makes me emotional. I rarely ever cry at something emotional regarding media but when writing this comment and hearing that song, I shed a tear. Reach was my first halo game and is my personal favourite. Anytime someone asks me why I tell them about Lone Wolf, the mission that this version of the song plays in. I usually don't make comments like this but I thought I'd make an exception.
I'm bout to turn 25. Crazy how time flies. I got my original xbox with halo 2 when I turned 8. All thanks to my grandma accidentally giving me several hundred dollar bills. My older brother use to have lan parties at my house and they would all bring their xboxes. This was before I bought mine. Use to play the halo 2 campaign with my neighbor all the time age 9-12. When I turned 12, I got a xbox 360 with halo 3. Those were some amazing times too. Forge with friends was awesome and that final campaign mission is one I'll never forget. Fun fact: My cousin met her husband on halo 3. They became friends on xbox live and just so happened to live 20 minutes from each other. They played the halo theme as they walked down the isle. Halo left a mark on me bigger than life. I will always treasure this game

I've been alive nearly 20 years... I grew up playing these games not truly understanding Halo or the weight it's music held. Then when MCC came to PC and I got a PC, it... it hit me. Right as I was playing Reach, excited for the next mission and bam... Kat died. The absence of constant music for a few seconds only to be hit with those piano notes hit really hard especially after seeing Kat's body being held by one of the Noble Team. Then again while playing Halo 2 when Arbiter confronted Tartarus and tried to be friendly to him and explain the truth even after everything that had happened. Then Halo 3... god the entirety of Halo 3 was an emotional joyride of tears and snot. Especially the warthog run. Then Halo 4 when Cortana asked about figuring out who the machine was and then her 'dying'. Even with Infinite with Chief expressing true humanity to the Pilot and getting that last talk from Cortana. We all know Halo is in a bad spot right now. But Halo has taught us anything, it's to not lose hope. It's to carry on and deal with the problems we experience without letting those problems blind us or get in our way.
This was one of the biggest journeys through games series for me. I can't explain how many times I stopped from writing my paper because my heart was demanding me to just listen and enjoy. I walked down all of the victories and defeats of one of my favorite game series so thank you very much.
This is such a good playlist. God damn the nostalgia is strong with this one. It's kinda crazy to me that even though nobody here knows each other, everyone kinda had the same transcending experience with these games: the sleepovers, the endless splitscreen fun, etc. And we can all relate to each other's stories so well. Halo did something truly special for all of us and even though I'm kinda sad that those moments are gone, I'll be forever grateful to the Bungie team and Martin O'Donnell for giving us such awesome childhood memories. ❤

The epilogue music for Halo 2 really hits me hard. Ending an epic campaign Halo 2 had to offer with this kind of music is something I will never forget. I have played the original game, and I wish 343 could implement this back somehow in the MCC, as well as the credits for the other games.
Suddenly it feels like 2007 again. Just finished the trilogy on Halo 3 with tears in my eyes and a feeling in my chest I can't describe. I know no other game in the years to come will ever feel the same.

Turned 32 just a few days ago. Drank too much and spent all night crying at Halo music. Welcome to old. The Halo 3 title screen one always gets me (last one in this collection).
Well I about to turn 20 but I'll never forget my watching my older brothers who are in there 30s now playing halo ce my life would be considerably worse without halo
Its hard to think about, such amazing memories now so distant. Some of the best years of my life.
I'm 40 now. I miss the days of meeting at friends houses and playing games all night.
Kids are lucky they have online games these days, but they are truly missing out in another way.
My dad used to play halo with his friends, I'm fifteen and I have been playing halo for three years now. I cant really say that I experienced that but I sure did miss out. Luckily my dad introduced me to this wonderful piece of art! We sometimes play on the weekends cuz im usually busy with hw. But for some reason whenever I hear any song from halo the nostalgia starts kicking in lol.
*Nothing* will ever recreate the feeling of being inside on a rainy day playing Reach with your buddies on xbox live. Its sad to know that those days will never return...
George2000 I still play Halo Reach matchmaking all the time! You can still find a game with no problem! Reach will never die as long as we play it.
Can’t believe the day I put Halo Reach in on September 14th there were over 1,000,000 active players and every single friend on Xbox was playing Reach. The excitement was real. The good old days.
Never will there be a game like Halo 3 or Reach again, but I will continue to play Reach until the day I cannot find another fucking game!

The first music you hear, I always hated that mission as a kid. After leaving the drop pod I would just sneak around and if I saw an enemie, I would freak out and hide at spawn. And the music was no help. It made me even more scared. Oh and it was at night.

When i was like 4 I was scared of the grunts in the vents on the first mission of Ealo CE
When me and my brother first got a 360 in feb 2010 (not long after ODST was released) it came with the game and we couldn’t get past the first part of the first mission due to a grunt flying out of no where with plasma grenades and scaring us to death... since then I’ve played all halo games and now re-playing them all on my Xbox one on the master chief collection. (the 360 died recently)

I don't think I have found anyone who can capture both the powerful and peacefulness of video game soundtracks. So many times, playlists either don't flow from one song to the next, or are just a constant blare of overwhelming, powerful music.
You really do a great job putting all of these together and making the music tell a story. Would love to see you tackle the Souls games soundtrack.

So i never really played it or let alone enjoy it's music. I wouldn't be in state to tell the story of the game in the video, that's why I'm only making mixes of games i know. There's no difference between "these kids today don't know what it's like to survive, their all lazy" and "They've disrespected and tarnished the Halo franchise"... If you look back too much there's no moving forward. People want Bungie back, well guess what? Bungie left all of it's fans for what is the crash and burn pile known as Destiny. If you want a company to continue your beloved franchise, there's no other company willing to make the effort. 343i messed up but it's no EA or Bethesda. It's far better. The so-called mess up which is Halo 5 was not as bad as people say. The multiplayer and community support is terrific, I should know. I play the game. The campaign could've been better sure, but then again they could've hired writers who knew how to fugging write. I love Halo because it IS my childhood, and to have people come in saying that 343i is crappy I'd like for them to take a step back and seriously look at the franchise and the *gaming industry* today. It's crappy. I've literally noticed how it's no longer about the company and are smd what THEY want. It's all to do with money and playerbase. THAT'S what is wrong. 343 has messed up but the fans are also some of the most hypocritical people I know. Almost as ridiculous as the CoD community. So to address sakes, recognition, etc. Okay... We're in a time where people just do not care. Halo 3 and the early CoD games were most certainly talked about amongst people around their releases. But today, a game can live at best a year or two before falling off the charts. That's today's standards amongst gaming. More and more casual players are around this they usually play for campaigns and barely pay attention, or they play multiplayer because that's what everyone else is doing. This ALL links to the problem with Halo. Lastly, I trust a company that dailed to hold it's promises? I don't recall me knowing of it's promises. If anything the things I know about it is that they are starting to listen more and not do it because of money or mass player intake. Having a game that's booking for a few months will not make it memorable. That's what's wrong once again with the market. The Halo 5 campaign is the biggest marketing scam I've ever seen but that's ONLY because us fans are fugging retarded and let our imagination shoot too far. Even then the writing was bad, but yet their obviously learning from it. So that's my stance. Take it or leave it.
The only way to change 343 Industries is to hold them accountable for their actions, not to just simply accept them for who they are.
When High charity comes on it really hits me, spending hours with my friends playing split screen, ordering dominos and drinking soda till 3 am. Man halo will always be apart of my life.
Epilogue (Halo 2) really got me. Lost my best friend last month, and him and I poured hundreds of hours into halo together. As the old saying goes, Spartans never die, they're just missing in action. Miss you bud

Halo was an enormous part of my childhood growing up, especially because it resulted in me forming a very strong friendship. Now, I just recently bought an xbox and I'm gonna be able to play the Halo games for the first time in nearly 9 years, and it makes me so happy

I am blown away by the impact these beautiful games have had on so many people. Every Halo-related comment section feels like home or family in a way. Everyone seems to be touched on even an emotional level with this franchise, and it's absolutely wonderful. Just like so many people here, Halo means a great deal to me, and has a special place in my heart. I'm glad to be part of such an incredible, tight-knit community.

Did anyone get emotionally sick listening to these absolute gems of soundtracks? Think I shed a few tears yano. Damn I’d give anything just to go back for 1 day to relive this time again.
Music of odst is something that made me fall in love with the series as a whole.
I can't stress out how the music of ODST is so emblematic. O'Donnell and Salvatori really worked hard on it.Sadly the series as turned pretty lame with the 5th installment but the music in the first 4 will always be marked in my memory. The theme song of Halo 1, just wonderful! It really brings back nostalgia of my teenage years. Those were masterpieces. Correct that those will ALWAYS be masterpieces!

I played every single one of these. Start to finish. These games brought me happiness when I needed it. These games are my childhood, and ese soundtracks will be in my heart till I die.
Every time i listen to "Never forget", the memories come flooding, chills break all over me, and I feel both sad that Halo's best years are over, but also glad that they happened.

Hits me hard. I remember the good times I had with friends, particularly this one online friend. I don't know his full gamer tag, I have forgotten it after my first account stopped working. Anyways his name was something like "mideagle". He was probably my first halo friend in general. He helped me with halo 4's campaign on legendary and it was nice to because I was scared to try it out at the time. I was 12, lol. Currently, I am 17 now, almost 18 in a few months and I still enjoy playing halo. To continue from rambling, because it seems like I am, that friend of mine was a great person, made many memories with him, especially playing flood, loved the crap at of it, and is the reason I love halo as my favorite video game ever. I can't find him anymore but sometimes i try to by looking at my friends Xbox list that has my old account and checking my old account of the previous friends I had. You get the Point. I feel the same way man except with my brother. I have so many good memories with him. I got so good at halo because he was a professional halo 3 player and now that he got a Xbox one and we play mcc together it brings back good memories and it just feels awesome.

Yah, I totally understand. I love the halo franchise so much because of the epic story and the memories. I kind of feel like a loner sometimes due to the fact that I think halo 5's story is totally awesome though.
Music from the gears of war saga and halo saga are some of the beast soundtracks ever made in probably video game history because of the impact it had on the player during the game. Like in gears of war, the music was amazing because of how much they made it feel like the end of humanity is upon them. In halo, the music gives you that feel that if you're going down you might as well go out with a bang. That's what games need nowadays and also a good campaign just like the classic games back in the day.

In my own respectful opinion, Halo for me has the most beautiful soundtrack among all games I have played throughout my entire life of gaming. It really sets the mood and how the music sets the emotions in the story Halo. Every time I listen to the soundtrack I bet every fan out there closes their eyes and prayed for Halo to become a damn movie.

Just finally got to play Halo 3 ODST for the first time a few weeks ago, and wow what a game! It felt like playing halo 2 for the first time again. Nothing beats a good ol classic bungie game.

I’ve been playing halo since I was 5 with the very first Xbox 360 and pretty much played them all until now. Best soundtrack and campaigns, brings good memories
Halo is honestly my favourite game series, not to mention the music is just perfect at every part in the game further immersing you into it's world. Personally halo 2 was my favourite as it introduced the arbiter, halo 3 was the ending of halo to me it wrapped everything up and they finished the fight

Can't say that I've been playing halo since I was a child, although I did play Reach a lot, and was obsessed with it. I got the Halo master chief collection for pc and spent all christmas playing it. One of the best times ever. Now this soundtrack brings a lot of memories and I love it.

I am so very late, but I played through Reach for the first time a few days ago. It's the only game that's ever been able to get to me emotionally, and I'm painting Menachite Mountain on my bedroom wall. I love these games so much.

It'a incredible how you can almost tell Halo's story and lore only with the musics. So perfectly introduced, legends composed them, for a legendary game.. to me it's impossible to transmit emotions better than with Halo musics

The piano version of Ghosts and Glass always makes me emotional. I rarely ever cry at something emotional regarding media but when writing this comment and hearing that song, I shed a tear. Reach was my first halo game and is my personal favourite. Anytime someone asks me why I tell them about Lone Wolf, the mission that this version of the song plays in. I usually don't make comments like this but I thought I'd make an exception.

I'm bout to turn 25. Crazy how time flies. I got my original xbox with halo 2 when I turned 8. All thanks to my grandma accidentally giving me several hundred dollar bills. My older brother use to have lan parties at my house and they would all bring their xboxes. This was before I bought mine. Use to play the halo 2 campaign with my neighbor all the time age 9-12. When I turned 12, I got a xbox 360 with halo 3. Those were some amazing times too. Forge with friends was awesome and that final campaign mission is one I'll never forget. Fun fact: My cousin met her husband on halo 3. They became friends on xbox live and just so happened to live 20 minutes from each other. They played the halo theme as they walked down the isle. Halo left a mark on me bigger than life. I will always treasure this game

If there's one thing I've learned in my life, it's to never take anything for granted. I will always miss those days of me and my brother just playing odst all day with nothing to worry about.

I don't normally comment on videos, but I cried listening to this. So thanks for making this video.
I've been alive nearly 20 years... I grew up playing these games not truly understanding Halo or the weight it's music held. Then when MCC came to PC and I got a PC, it... it hit me. Right as I was playing Reach, excited for the next mission and bam... Kat died. The absence of constant music for a few seconds only to be hit with those piano notes hit really hard especially after seeing Kat's body being held by one of the Noble Team. Then again while playing Halo 2 when Arbiter confronted Tartarus and tried to be friendly to him and explain the truth even after everything that had happened. Then Halo 3... god the entirety of Halo 3 was an emotional joyride of tears and snot. Especially the warthog run. Then Halo 4 when Cortana asked about figuring out who the machine was and then her 'dying'. Even with Infinite with Chief expressing true humanity to the Pilot and getting that last talk from Cortana. We all know Halo is in a bad spot right now. But Halo has taught us anything, it's to not lose hope. It's to carry on and deal with the problems we experience without letting those problems blind us or get in our way.
It's an amazing message towards being human and not falling for the ideals of religious zealotry
This was one of the biggest journeys through games series for me. I can't explain how many times I stopped from writing my paper because my heart was demanding me to just listen and enjoy. I walked down all of the victories and defeats of one of my favorite game series so thank you very much.
This is such a good playlist. God damn the nostalgia is strong with this one. It's kinda crazy to me that even though nobody here knows each other, everyone kinda had the same transcending experience with these games: the sleepovers, the endless splitscreen fun, etc. And we can all relate to each other's stories so well. Halo did something truly special for all of us and even though I'm kinda sad that those moments are gone, I'll be forever grateful to the Bungie team and Martin O'Donnell for giving us such awesome childhood memories. ❤

HALO 3: ODST was the first halo game I ever played and I loved it. The missions,the characters,the music... I loved the music.
I cant take a game seriously if it doesn't have epic music like this.

The epilogue music for Halo 2 really hits me hard. Ending an epic campaign Halo 2 had to offer with this kind of music is something I will never forget. I have played the original game, and I wish 343 could implement this back somehow in the MCC, as well as the credits for the other games.
Also, it's cool how the track, "High Charity," kind of mixes in with "Road to Voi," which is the last track you hear on the epilogue.
