Mover do some carrier landings if u have time.... touch and go's? I dunno. The F-14 is a very entertaining/interesting platform for your channel. Probably a plane a younger generation knows little about and a plane alot of older people grew up in awe with. #TOMCATS!

He never landed on a carrier when he was flying for the Navy though so...he is feet dry only with his landings. But he can learn just like us!

IMHO glider pilots are one of the best pilots because it is just different to fly without an engine. You have to "feel" the plane.

@@alextjb When filming the Tomcats in the movie, when they flew past the T-6 Texans it actually ripped off the one of the pilot's headset and watch.

Hello there, big fan of these videos and trying to get into DCS. Does the Heatblur F-14 module also simulate the volleyball matches? I heard that the physics calculations for the volleyball were exceptionally hard to do (and that they had a problem with the net floating 1500 ft off the ground), and I was wondering if they were able to fix these problems and include volleyball in the release. Might be a deal breaker for me.
Volleyball with pals would be awsome.
They had some problems with the sweat: they wanted it to be dripping down topless bodies in an attractive manner but that proved too troublesome.
I wonder if there's any chance of you flying the Ka-50. I am curious to see if you join the hordes complaining about its autopilot or if you can "think in Russian".
You're Rio's voice was smooth as butter. Got to love the "down there on the left" and the fact the plane is sinking from the lack of engine power. Funny as hell guys!

Hi, just incase you need this info. When it comes to turn rate fighting. Try to keep the cat around 330-350. She shudders a lot so watch for those and ease off the stick. Abuse the thrust to weight ratio as it is a monster. To get out of flat spins. For example left hand spin. Nose down, left engine full, right engine idle and right rudder. You can also turn off Roll SAS to make it more manageable, I leave it enabled mostly. Overall, you seemed extremely happy with this so enjoy!
I always turn roll SAS off in bfm, makes it much smoother.
Lets just weld those two birds together where the wings came off and call it a bomber. Great videos!

It is a well known DCS bug that AI aircraft do not use the same flight model that the player uses for any given module. AI aircraft do not bleed energy, have infinite thrust, do not depart flight. It's really frustrating.
Bretty gud for first time. The F-14 is pretty much a warbird with insane thrust, so if you're used to fly-by-wire it's a hard transition. Bu once you master it, it PURRS likeand moves like an agile, deadly kitten

P.S. the AI F-5 is a UFO and probably one of the hardest AI controlled birds to go up against!
P.P.S. You can't feel her from the chair in your room, so you have to listen to her. As soon as the rattle becomes more audible, start relaxing on the stick :D

That's Ras Al-Khaimeh airport that you tried to bust the tower at (~5'00). Drove out there for no particular reason when I was R&Ring from the 'Ghan back in '07. IIRC, they had a bunch of mothballed 742s and L-1011s there. Ain't there any more, I suppose.

I never thought I would willingly watch video game live streams but this is very entertaining & funny - and at least until recently you were an IRL pilot too so that makes it better
Great stuff Mover, thanks for your good banter and good spirits. F-14 is tricky, keep at it and she'll do what you want her to in no time, even if she likes to fight about it. Really got to get that Pilot Lock on Mode button mapped though or have your RIO be a bit more on the ball towards locking them up. No-one should have to make that many manual gunshots. Well I guess unless you flew old warbirds, then you are probably used to it.

I've just been playing with this one myself... spent a few hours last night doing VFR pattern work. Very fun bird.
Watching Ray's landing, I thought about your recent AIB video on the T-38 crash at Vance AFB.
The F14 tomcat is still my favorite jet. The new jets are cool but you can’t beat a classic.
I spent 4 long years watching these take off land and target practice on the USS INDY in the late 70s !!!

I saw a good video on how to fly the 14. Keep your wings extended use flaps and slats, and fly using the rudder. The 14 turn radius will be tighter. Yes probably going to use alot more fuel but hopefully you'll have the kill shot sooner.
Mover! I LOVE your DCS series. Next up, you should fly the A-10. Although it’s a difficult aircraft compared to others, it would be really fun to watch you learn it.

@@truisticprince To each their own opinion. I love the Tomcat's manual controls, but I love the F-18's cockpit, A/A, A/G, and anti-ship capabilities more. I don't need a human RIO to use the T-Pod and laze a target.

These are brilliant! 14:00 -ish, AI planes use simplified (arcade) flight model, all player controlled jets fly with the professional (sim) one, so yeah, dogfighting AI can be really challenging.
Gonna be real with you Mr. Lemoine your not to good of a sim pilot because your so good at being a real pilot which is what matters . . . but please bind the PLM button to your HOTAS so you can lock stuff
