Gabby came on the scene as an alternatte, straight from Jr Team.... of course USA is thrilled to have her...there were a lot of behind the scenes jitters and upsets going on. Coaches and gymnasts who were vying for spots on that London Team saw the threat Gabby posed. ..knowing, after these routines, she was absolutely knocking someone out of the spot. And she did... whether it was Price, Li or Vega? We will never know. Either way....martha made the right call (so many didn't think a first comp senior should be considered but she showed nerves of steel)!!!! USA ROCKS!!!!!
I'm watching the American Cup right now. She'd be in first place if she wasn't an alternate. This girl definitely deserves a spot on the 2012 Olympic Team. Go Gabby!
What's amazing about this. Is the fact that not more 3months prior to this she had a horrible nationals. Look how she grew and did an amazing job. Then went to the American cup and literally shocked everyone. I remember sitting in the stands watching podium training and hearing everyone talking about gabby. That's when i knew she was something. It literally was everyone talking about how amazing she looked. I remember even jordyn an aly telling her how good she looked. And the fact that in 2012 she almost won the nationals with a fall said alot
WOW! That last tumbling pass was so scary! It looked like she had too much power and would have over-rotated it...but she's a champ and knew EXACTLY what she was doing!
Proud like I know you! All the best to you. I dont understand the scoring but I hope you make the team. I would love for you to represent the US in the Olympics.
@BontasFan I was just about to post the excacti same comment, she looked great in every event and had a slightly highestall around D score than Wieber and Raisman
@seanthefriendlywhale I know :( But I really hope that Gabby will make it and be an all arounder in 2012, I've read that she's upgrating all her routines and training an amanar
@seanthefriendlywhale Yes, I was so mad! She qualified 5th after Yao and Raisman. And they both had major mistakes, Yao on beam and Ally on bars. If Gabby was consisten she actually could have challenged Yao for the bronze. With a clean performance she could have medalled!
@CLeighS459 She did! I can't believe McKayla had the lowest all around score of the 5 girls! I wasn't expecting her to make mistakes! Gabby should be so proud of herself I think she definatley topped everyone's expectations!
since the only different dismount she has here is on bars im assuming your talking about the full in dismount she did here and the double layout dismount she has now? they're both worth the same.
I think NewYearsBaby is asking if the dismount she did here (full-twisting double tuck) is more difficult than the one she's been doing (double layout).
Déjà qu'un salto avant au sol c'est dur, mais un arriere carpé a la poutre.... Déjà qu'une demie-vrille en sortie de tremp c'est dur mais double en sortie de poutre!!
raisom beat gabby by some points if gabby does well on ub new routine which she has not and doesnt messup up on beam shell be in the AA competetion not ali
This is the first time I've seen this. It's amazing how much better Gabby is here than she was earlier that year at Visa Championships 2011.

For a sixteen year old girl she is amazing! wow just wow!! You go girl!

@seanthefriendlywhale That's for sure. I'd kill to see her win the olympic gold, just to see the look on everyone's faces
Omff she did
This comment aged like fine wine
Thank you so much for finding and posting this. She's just astounding.
i can't get over how cute her and chow are!!!
very solid switch leap, back pike. good for her to hit that solidly after a few little wobbles on her two skills beforehand
i love gabby so much! :D she was totally rocking it in prelims :D
Thanks so much for posting these!!
Can't wait to see the finals!!
WOW! That last tumbling pass was so scary! It looked like she had too much power and would have over-rotated it...but she's a champ and knew EXACTLY what she was doing!
Man, this girl is amazing! Looking forward to her biopic in twenty years :]
Proud like I know you! All the best to you. I dont understand the scoring but I hope you make the team. I would love for you to represent the US in the Olympics.
I love the leos they wore!!!
Her floor is questionable but her beam routine is very artistic.
I >3 U GABBY U R MY IDOL
Go Gabby
Yes. It was very popular in Europe in 2010
GOOD JOB AWESOME BAR ROUTINE
@BontasFan I was just about to post the excacti same comment, she looked great in every event and had a slightly highestall around D score than Wieber and Raisman
@xGymCouture She got 5th for USA? Wow. That's crazy. Thanks for the uploads.
Nice bar routine!
That floor routine was very good lots of flair :)
Oh wow!!!
0:23 took my breath away!!
very good instincts on that one!!!
Can U just re upload her bars routine from this event?
@xrictinagymnastics oh she is good I love her vault she definitely has enough power
@grateful2beable Your welcome :) Recording? This wasn't on tv!
she is amazing for a while I was like this isn't real at all , cus it looks so animated when she was on the bars lol and the vault
@seanthefriendlywhale I know :( But I really hope that Gabby will make it and be an all arounder in 2012, I've read that she's upgrating all her routines and training an amanar
She reminds me of dominque dawes. Gaby has so much power on uneven bars.

That's the name of the song. "We No Speak Americano" by Yolanda Be Cool and producer DCUP.
@Nenequeen123 No shes doing a double layout now
If she could just be more steady and constant, she could be an all-rounder. I'm rooting for her
@CLeighS459 She did! I can't believe McKayla had the lowest all around score of the 5 girls! I wasn't expecting her to make mistakes! Gabby should be so proud of herself I think she definatley topped everyone's expectations!
She has an Amanar now, if she ads a Khorkina transition to bars and a couple more elements here and there she'll have a great shot at London
Woo Hoo Go Girly
@KateMich12 If she stays healthy I'd say she's a lock for the olympic team for bars. And I hope she makes it to the AA
Her legs are so long and she is super graceful! I hope to see her in London!
@xrictinagymnastics I know I hate that rule and out of the actual top 24 qualifiers only 17 of them were able to compete :(
I KNOW
Doed anyone know what her the second part of her floor music is called?
@NewYearsBaby01 Full twisting double
her bars
since the only different dismount she has here is on bars im assuming your talking about the full in dismount she did here and the double layout dismount she has now? they're both worth the same.
Which dismount?
I think NewYearsBaby is asking if the dismount she did here (full-twisting double tuck) is more difficult than the one she's been doing (double layout).
@ineedthat06 she did s double a double Arabian front
@xGymCouture nor me! i expected McKayla to do waay better than she did! i agree! she did awesome! :D
this is what use to be called the perfect 10 Olympic score!!!!!!
holy sht she can fly
That's not possible because only 2 gymnasts per country can qualify for individual finals :/
she just as good as dominque dawes!
Personally I don't think her beam was underscored. She had a lot of adjustments, breaks in connection, and her leaps were not too good
Same l
Difficulty
Well she was 15 then.
bars
Is that dismount tougher than the current the she doing?
@KeelyMCraig I just searched the internet :L
She only got a 14.4 on beam. Way underscored here
Déjà qu'un salto avant au sol c'est dur, mais un arriere carpé a la poutre....
Déjà qu'une demie-vrille en sortie de tremp c'est dur mais double en sortie de poutre!!
c normal c une championne
What?! :P The song is called we no speak americano?! :P
ohhhhhhhhhhhh haha sorry i get it :) thanks
raisom beat gabby by some points if gabby does well on ub new routine which she has not and doesnt messup up on beam shell be in the AA competetion not ali
and thats what happened...
Too bad she switched to the coach in LA according to gymnastike.
she had no front tumbling
its not american its english
I hate the two gymnasts per country rule Gabby qualified in 5th! and doesn't get to compete
We No Speak Americano :)
I love her but I hate the music...
Double arabian front****
Um, she needs to learn how to get her arms by her ears when she hurdles for her round off.
improved so much.. but she has to clean up her routines.. and the damn feet out of bounds..
