US Classic 2024 Medal Predictions

- The US Classics tomorrow should be a super exciting competition, marking the beginning of the season for many returning stars such as Simone Biles, Shilese Jones, Jordan Chiles, Jade Carey, Konnor McClain, and many other top olympic contenders! This competition will give insight into what that 2024 Paris Olympic team will look like, and the gymnasts will need to start proving themselves now. Comment down below your predictions!

my dream team is simone, suni, gabby, shilese, and jade!
I agree since everyone would love to see the AA champs from 2012, 2016, and 2020 on the same team. Plus shilese has came on very strong, and jade contributes great floor and vault that can take silver at the games. Hoping those gymnasts have a good night!
@@cgheat2397 yeah. but now following classics my team has obviously changed, sadly. Gabby is out unfortunately, and I have doubts about Suni... she has a fantastic beam set, but without her showing bars until nationals I'm not sure how the U.S. can take her. She'll have to hit four for four bar sets (2x nationals, trials, etc.) I'd love to be proven wrong, but without a reliable showing on bars, I don't think Suni can be taken, because the U.S. obviously has stronger vaults and floors than what she's shown so far.
@whatever3259 do you know when we will know if Suni petitioned to do 4 events and if it was approved?
IF she can/does do bars and hits her new skill and bars and beam well at both meets I think they will bring her...
@@jessicalong2293 I believe she will do AA at national championships! and i agree. I've got my fingers crossed for her, because I so badly want her on the team. what sucks is that you have to get a certain AA score at classics in order to compete AA at championships, and Suni wasn't hitting her new release move. So she strategically didn't show it at classics and has petitioned for nationals AA instead. I honestly feel like this system discourages athletes from showing their full sets in case they dont get the required score. Like, come on, let them get the nerves out here!

Simone on vault??
Last year Simone didn’t do 2 vaults at the classic. They have to do two vaults in order to win the title. It could be her or it could be jade. I would say it’s up in the air right now.

I don’t know how much twisting Simone is doing right now, and there’s no need to push it for Classics when Paris is the prize, right? Simone needs to not fall, and then just stay healthy.
@@ledwn_ that’s good question. I saw her do balance beam on twitter but nothing else. So that’s a good question.
For the Olympic team: Simone and Shilese make an AA final and the best AA medal potential when facing the rest of the world. Both of them also make beam and floor finals with both of them potentially medaling on beam. Jade can make floor and vault finals and is almost certain to medal on both events. This leaves the team needing at least one bar finalist with top 3 medal potential (Suni/Gabby). This is the biggest vacancy considering the field. You can then bring ONE empty AA worker--either a Leanne or Skye or Kayla or Jordan. Skye at least has the possibility of medaling on beam over Shilese if she shows she can hit this next 3 competitions. Skye, Leanne & Jordan also may have 2 strong vaults. You CANNOT bring 2 empty all-arounders just because they qualify in the top 5 at Championships/Trials. That's the mistake TF made last olympics, leaving medals on the table.
What??Shi can easily medal in bars then suni then Gabby or Skye

@@patpat446 yes and we get that they are olympic champions but there are other athletes who are way better than them now like Leanne,Skye and Kayla and many more who would help team usa..i just hope there is no favouritism towards them

If Suni hits the bar routine I keep hearing about then she should easily take the gold but she will have to make and connect everything.

Does Jordan have an injury I don't know about? B/c I feel like we're sleeping on her a bit, and considering how PT went for Kayla, Shilese, Joscelyn, and Jade...and knowing that Jordan usually performs up from where she's training...I dunno. I'm not counting Jordan or Gabby out.
I wouldn't caught her out on Floor/Vault. People think Jordan made her debut 2020 but in reality she's been a Top Floor/Vault Medalist and AA Medalist for 10yrs. Her and Skye could Absolutely be the Top 5 Bar Workers for US this Olympic Run. They both could Absolutely make a Finals at the Olympics!
She coming back from an injury, shoulder if I remember correctly. If she’s back 100% she’s definitely a contender!
@@nassaj8082 personally, I think Jade might be in trouble because there are 2 ladies who looked ready to throw Cheng vaults 6 months ago. Those are Skye and Jordan. Both have Lopez vaults that clean, powerful, exude energy and have _flight._ All that was required to turn those vaults into Chengs was calling on their inner Andrade and wrapping that last full twist. In that case, both of them are light years better on UB and BB than Jade. On floor...I don't think we're going to see any gifts given to top difficulty...but stale artistry.. And stale is a polite word for what Jade did artistically in Tokyo. She has made progress, but I still feel the need to steam her like bamboo so she'll be less stiff and awkward.
I'm not saying Skye and Jordan are absolutely on my team, but they are ahead of Jade, and even if they bomb every competition from now until trials, There's still Leanne, Joscelyn, Konnor, Trinity, Gabby.; all of whom I could argue for over Jade.
She said back in 2022 that she is competing with a torn labrum and is not going to get surgery for it anytime soon. She pulled out of Winter Cup due to a shoulder issue.. I could only imagine it's gotten worse since 2022
Besides that, Jordan rarely shows training videos, so people aren't getting hyped up. Gymcastic said she brought back her Van Leuwen.. On floor she did a Front 1/1 to Full Twisting Double Tuck, as well as a 1/1 Double Layout. Currently does not have her full-in BB dismount, still doing double pike
That has nothing to do with sleeping on her. She had a few troubles on PT and don’t think she can make more than 1 podium AT ALL (unless there are errors from some people). In fact, 1 podium finish will be already huuuge for her, seeing how the field is atm.
It’s completely understandable to not see her in most of the Classics predictions. She’ll need a lot.

Well, it’ll be on tv and streaming. I feel like you should’ve expected that answer 😂 usa gymnastics will have it up on RUclips later though.
My olympic team predictions are
Simone (VT, BB, FX; AA final, VT final, BB final, FX final)
Shilese (UB, BB, FX; AA final, UB final, BB final)
Jade (VT, FX; VT final, FX final)
Skye (UB; UB final)
Leanne (VT, UB, BB)
I don't think Leanne ( and Skye) can outscore Simone on Bars and Shilese on Vault, Sunisa instead of Leanne has a higher score pontential
@@gymnasticfan9148 I didnt include suni on my list (yet) because of her bars inconsistencies. I dont think she would make the team unless she got it together on bars

My dream team is Simone, Shilese, Jade, Suni (if she hits 8/8 on bars/beam), Konnor, but since Konnor is out 😢 I think...Jordan, Leanne, Kayla, Trinity would make a great 5th spot...or Skye I think the 5th spot needs to hit 16/16
People getting butthurt about missing gymnasts need to remember there's ~16 gymnasts in contention for this team, most of which consistently feature on people's predicted teams...
Putting kaliyah Lincoln above Jade on floor is a joke. Putting Skye above Kayla in the AA is also a joke. Skye gonna fall a lot, as usual.
You not facing a 'potential' reality is a joke. You all think Jade has come so far with her 'performance' value which she hasnt not in this code or in any reality. If she upgrades her routine, which is the ONLY way she can help her score, her new alleged 'amazing' dance will decline even more, she will not be able to do both. An upgraded routine, and somehow try to keep up with her struggling peformance value. Gymcastic literally said how amazing Kaliya looks, her leaps shit on every single leap Jade has ever done her entire life. Combine that with better performance value, upgraded routine... If she hits, Jade is in trouble. Period. So thats the joke.
Umm, they didn't put Skye in the AA medal prediction. It was Kayla (bronze), Shilese (silver), and Simone (gold).
