I consider this company and a few others as the new history book. Without your content and interviews, how could anyone possibly know what happened.
So great to hear Jariko is joining you guys full time.
Cool to hear Jariko's story. I'll have to look up the previous podcasts that Logan mentioned. Always enjoy his posts and the Jariko Thoughts on Instagram.
Great podcast, Jariko will be a great addition to the team.
Can’t wait to see what you guys have in store 👊🏻🇺🇸
A guy I work with was 3rd Bat and dropped into Panama as a butter bar Lt. The stories he tells of how they "advised" them they were going to war in Kuwait was also a doozy. He said they were on a "training exercise" and had all their gear, got onto a plane, and this time the plane actually started down the runway. He thought, "weird they'd burn fuel on a training exercise." They then lifted off and instead of circling back to the runway, continued. "Man their taking this training exercise to a new level." Someone came over the PA and told them, "Gentlemen, Saddam Hussein has just invaded the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, you're going to be the tip of the spear." He thought, "with what? We're a light combat infantry unit with LIGHT weapons. The most we had was a LAW rocket." And thus was the start of the war in 1990, aka Desert Shield.
Thought you two might enjoy that story.
Fuckin weirdo
This episode means alot to alot of people
Awesome ep guys great job
Great video!! Love the insight....... BRCC won this one!!
Sheesh. That part at 42:46 was intense. Great interview 💪🏻
Talking about how the media stopped reporting about the withdrawal. Really made me have a new sense of compassion for all those who served in GWOT. Thanks for the podcast!
I would love a series that did deep dives on 2nd and 3rd order effects on things like Afghanistan and Libya, etc. So much stuff is wide in the open but passed over by the spotlight of mainstream media.
Thanks dudes
Lovee this episode. It would be cool to see the blackwater 4 on this podcast.
Jake, I’d be no one if not for your mentorship. Best of luck Ranger Buddy
Still killing it Ranger. Pre GWOT JBLM! Lifelong and earned respect from a B co brother
Super awesome episode, would love to see Jericho and Evan on an episode!!!!
I love listening to your podcasts. You all have your experiences and share them with each other and us. I appreciate you all being the great Vets and Americans you are. BRCC Forever.
It's so funny to hear him talk about hair cut regs. He was my 1st Sgt in 2012-2013 in Bco 1/75 and he didn't give a shit about your hair as long as he wasn't catching shit from the Battalion MSG about so and so having their hair too long.
Hey! My best friend (may he rest in peace) served with 3rd Platoon, B Co. 1/75 around that same time frame. He had so many stories about his First Sergeant he related to me... I wonder now if this is who he was talking about.
@@SaftonYT Plutino?
@@kilikway16 No, he wasn't Plutino. That was slightly before his time, though close enough to the point that Plutino was one of the "Airborne Rangers in the sky" he was doing push-ups for IIRC.
He passed away Stateside in a car accident shortly after being discharged.
@@SaftonYT I was in 3rd Platoon Bco till October of 2013 when I got out. Who was your friend?
@@NWB3175 Taylor. I think you were getting out the same time he came into Regiment; I remember attending his RASP graduation around that time -- either October or November I believe.
Got my attention now
Born and raised in seattle , served in the 101st in the 80's andin the late 80's and 90's I was in a really good and well known local band and every once in a while I would wear a shirt from the 101st and all you Ranger's would absolutely go nuts especially when I acknowledge your guys presence and how my band loved the military guys and we gave you guys free shirts and CD's and I am sure the guys in the barracks got sick of hearing our shit because most of you guys had no money so we gave the shit to you guys for free , just show us your ID or give us a ranger shirt !!!!
Hearing about the gangbanger linear ambush reminds me of a story from my buddy (may he rest in peace) while he was with 1/75. A couple of the guys in his unit went to a college house party and the frat bros took exception to their presence when they started hitting on the girls there, so they ended up getting into a scuffle and jumping the Rangers and breaking on of their arms. The junior Rangers returned and reluctantly told their compatriots what had happened.
Cue an enormous group of pissed off Rangers in civilian clothing descending on the frat house with baseball bats, chains, bricks, etc. to absolutely wreck shit: cars, home windows, etc. and escaping into the dead of night. It was legendary.
...until they found out they had hit the wrong house. Oops.
Suspect story
@@kilakr13 I'd forgive you for thinking that given the circumstances, but I had no reason for doubting my friend or the guys he served with who talked about the same incident (secondhand; I don't think any of them were directly involved) when we all hung out in Atlanta one weekend.
There is a considerable overlap between frat bros and young, non-Tabbed Ranger Privates in doing stupid testosterone/alcohol-fueled things.
Definitely heard that story before
It’s so awesome to hear dudes stories about the war that joined before 9/11…especially when It’s dudes like me stationed at Ft Benning before 9/11
Jarico was a hardcore kid in the late 90s. Hell yea. Me too. Haha. Best time.
It wojld be nice to know how the one guy in old Batt. Got his combat patch.
does the sound cut out for anyone else?
What's the bipod in the thumbnail?
Oh yeah good Monday morning
Its good to see able soldiers willing to defend this country. The sacrifices made are more than words can explain. Im wondering as smart as SF guys are, in hindsight given the info thats surfaced about how suspicious the tower attack was. For example firefighters explaining they heard and saw explosions enabling the freefall of the building. The theory of the upper floors having the energy to cause the collapse. Or the theory of the beam coming off the footing. Not to mention the heat it takes to make molton iron? And the thermite fused iron balls in the rubble. Theres so much shady stuff with this. They got rid of the beams and rubble to a chinese junkyard? Paul Bremmer was appointed to be the liason to iraq, he had no previous experience in that arena. That arena has been volatile for hundreds of years. It wasnt incompitence, it was having only the select few on the inside.
I was at Fort Lewis at the same 542nd maintenance company 1997, 44th corp support group and my friend tried out of Ranger and could not pass the mental test from what he told me. I may have seen you. However I did a see big fight off post in a bar from Ranger's in training with biker gang. When Rangers in training get drunk they can fight a person or a group and their full bird colonel showed up and everything stopped. There is more to story. I was happy to be Regular Army.
The “full bird colonel” for ranger regiment is located at Fort Benning not Fort Lewis
Where can I get that shirt
Any one else seeing the video pause or seem like parts are cut out?
Opsec
So when is the BRCC Comic Book coming out?
Still wish I would've taken a statement of charges and not turned in my woobie and field jacket liner 🤦♂️
It's like watching the BAMF versions of Rob Dyrdek
“Casual”? He means CASH co
If you're a competitive star athlete you always want the ball in your hand to win the game. It's the same for guys that have trained hardcore and haven't been put in the shit.
Logan: unfortunately we are a society of sound bites. We see the feed in front of us. 30 seconds later a new feed appears and we are engrossed by it. We have already forgotten what occurred 5 minutes ago let alone 20 years ago.
Not all of us are like that. I'm soaking as much useful knowledge into my brain, as I can fit. Constantly learning
I just overdosed on freedom.
You need a sign a hand receipt for that. Money's coming out of your pay.

Curious what these guys think of "our" Gov't giving money to Iran.
Until you get an FO, you’re just hacks. JTAC’s not including.

is it me or are you guys cutting out on purpose or are you talking about classified info?
O'Yah, I'm suspect it was either classified, or like he said he didn't want to name names.
@@EditingWithPopPop that is what thought after like the 3 rd time .thought i was loosing internet
