Fucking great episode! The talk about getting Vets to take back Hollywood was fucking so spot on! Thanks for representing!
That was a damn good show! Yall are amazing warriors! Thank you for your service brothers! Take care!
Denman was RIP cadre for me. And he's absolutely correct, he was a demon. I still have nightmares of that guy.
Another great one!! Keep rawkin out 😁
This was awesome! Former C/CO 2/75 Ranger from the 90's & its great to hear how Regiment has progressed from the time I was in until today. And yes, I cringe when I see modern made war movies. Glad yall addressed this issue. RLTW!
Excellent. Great, real, conversation.
When you got sheep dipped lol my stepbrother was a door kicker
I like how JT is holding his mic like a Cigar
Love these podcasts
In 98 is was on sand hill & had a drill sgt Luther who was bounced out of 2/75 for a DUI. I was in 1/75 from 98 - 02
Damn got out before you got any of the war
Agree with Regiment need their own commando school and awarded the tab. You'll get an operator that's specifically trained and selected. How many RI's or V/G qualified personnel can serve in Regt.
Love you guys
I was in during the Cold War, there was way too much rock painting going on. Did Desert Storm and the, peter principled GySgts "under glass in time of war" would not move on, so I did. Promotable Sgt's were holding down the Gysgt's post. I saw a lot of changes happen about 6 more years after I left.
the horse, the coffee run, lmao
I 100% agree about Ranger school versus Regiment. I understand Regiment compared to the conventional doctrine of Ranger school. However, if you want to learn how to box and throw proper punches, don't you have to be rooted in the basics? If Regiment doesn't need Ranger school to solidify their position within Regiment, that is a internal regimental decision. I can see why it shouldn't be mandatory within Regiment. I met many non-tabbed Infantry NCO's and officers who were exceptional without it.
@ Mat Best ..at about minute 42:10 you discuss the people who stereotype veterans with PTSD. I agree. I’m not a military veteran, but I’m a retired Baltimore Police officer who was diagnosed with PTSD before I retired. I retired with 24 years of service) I had a relative say some of the same things you discuss. It was hurtful at the time, but I realize how very damaged the person who said it is. On a larger scale, that misinformation promoted by in the public taints the view of veterans and police.
Don’t get me wrong, my relative’s comments are shitty.
My husband is retired Army and now a civilian employee. I love the military community. We currently live in Wiesbaden...hopefully headed to San Antonio....🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 I’ve found a new community of like minded people outside the police department.
Easy on the 19D references. 10 yrs as a scout and combat vet.
Whoa watch out we got a badass overhere
@@jasongoad2493 nope not at all
Just proud of my svc
Why cant our political system sit and talk sensibly like you guys?
Most democrats have hemroids from sticking their head up their ass so often.
Because most are legs. Those that are not are willing...But none on the left are.
When it comes to the movie get us like a 3-5 min trailer that can explain with the storyline is and then go to crowd funding. Im sure yall have enough reach and enough people that would want to see a real military movie. It probably wouldnt get enough to find some hollywood movie but even a few mill can make a bad ass movie.
That's Jarika Duncan
15 deployments jesus fuckin christ
Awesome podcast, but I just wanted to say an anesthesiologist is a real doctor haha, but you're right in that he wouldn't know anything about what he was hired to advise on.
Wdym some anesthesiologists are more qualified than some doctors
8:10 what's he mean by BPs?
Blocking positions, think the Rangers' mission from Mogadishu with CAG
HOLY SHIIITTT!!! I swear to God I never heard more truth!
It is the same when you have civilians building tactical vehicles and will not listen to the veterans they hire.
So many medics from 2/75 become medics in 160th or commo guys come over.
As a reenlistment option you could finish SFMC ... completing the whole 18d course .. in either rgt or 160th.. good shit!
@@srsmedic8285 so many of my friends have come from 2/75.... I assume it's a little less red tape
Fuck Jariko shoulda been Regitmental CSM and implemented those changes
Hoo Rhaaa and I am not ex military wish I could
Having an MOS does not make one a combat veteran unless they were in an actual war. Everyone who served are always referred to as veterans. But there is a difference between veterans and combat veterans. Usually the ones who have not been in combat are the loudest and boastful as if. How embarrassing almost like guys who steals someone's Valor. I guess there are still those who want to sound like a big guy when they are not.
Generation Kill was the most accurate military show.
I've never served (yet) but that's what I've heard.
I did 4 in the Marines. It's nice to see some battalion guys sit down and shoot the shit. Mat, I respect the hell out of you for your service to this country, but after hearing about your stance on the Kyle Rittenhouse issue, my respect for you went down a ton, especially after learning that Black Rifle donated money to anti gun politicians. Just my .02
Usually I see you guys joking around in a nonsense way... but this podcast was really good. Some foolishness is okay, but the Matt kariker podcast was a mess.
They’re definitely stoned
Murder Athlete TShirts!
This episode was amazing but the dude on the right interrupts wayyyyyy too much like bro let them finish talking before you dive in.
Thinking the same thing, shut the fuck up dude.
The reason why they take dui so serious is because all it takes is one fuck up to kill someone. I get why you think it should have warnings as it doesnt seem all that serious because it was just a dumb mistake but what if that cop didnt pull them over then and half a mile down the road they took at a van that was carrying 5-6 other military members a couple of them you knew. Ive had best friends die and almost die from drunk driving and drivers and we arent talking about 1 or 2. Were talking a handful in a smaller town. The thing is its so easy to catch a ride now that i dont think it should be forgiven but like I said I do get why you think the way you do.
Probably some of those guys the 3 of you are speaking of probably have never seen action or been in an actual war and yet act as if they have to sound impressive.
