I freaking hate it, thought I was the only one. But actually I hate the animation style all together (the bodies are super muscular and the faces are too simple and small...it looks disproportionate and aesthetically unappealing. Wish MAPPA animated it instead 😮💨

Despite the show's faults, I love this scene. It's character introduction done right. Heihachi is introduced with all the different quirks you would expect from a silver-screen adaptation of his character from the games. From this one scene, you can tell that this is a guy who values strength more than anything else, and he is even willing to conclude his own grandson is entirely worthless, should said grandson not persuade him to train his inexperienced and "weak" hide. If you're a disappointment to Heihachi Mishima, you are nothing to him, even if you are his child, or grandchild.
