yujiro isn't the best dad in anime but he does educate his son in many great moments and gives good takes like here and even when he talks to Baki and his girlfriend
I may question Baki sometimes but I do appreciate that he at least tries to have Yujiro act like a proper father by doing this. Even after everything he is still Yujiros son after all. A son wanting to spend time with and to get along with his father even one like Yujiro is completely natural.
No, it's not natural after he kills your friend-ape, kills your mother in front of you, violates your stepbrother's mom, and breaks a spine of person like a psycho.
Emi was always a poisonous influence in Baki's personal growth as a warrior and as a man, Yujiro recognized this and dealth with it. Does this make Yujiro a good person? Did she deserve to die? Of course not! but you'd have to be seriously naive to think Emi stifling her son, treating him as a stand-in husband for the abusive father and even abusing Baki by kissing on the lips was healthy behavior for a mother.
Honestly i wasn't interested in the anime so much before becausr it was basically presented as just another fighting anime but now ive been seeing these shorts of both baki and yujiro developing as characters is starting to get me interested in the series. The imaginary food bit is something else. Realistically, both of them never said a word and are playing charades, but they still know EXACTLY what they are saying, doing and eating. Hell they are having a full on telepathic conversation. That is a REAL connection

One of the best moments of the series. There's always something special/interesting about character down time. It gives them a bit more depth. Especially for these type of hyper characters.
It is in complete opposition to anything established before, though. Yujiro's ego is called hyper, so he wouldn't ever friendly talk to Baki (or Doppo and Hanayama for that matter) because he's not worthy, he couldn't prove himself to really rival Yujiro. On the other hand, Baki saw this guy break his mother's spine in front of him. I love that Baki could only hang out with Yujiro three times, with the first two being extremely awkward, before bringing up his mother. Yujiro is still awful, he sees his son as a glorified plaything while seeing everybody else as worthless. But Baki’s development towards moving past vengeance for his mom and moving towards “repaying her love” while also wanting to settle things with Yujrio is good writing.
"Preservatives, food coloring, antiseptics, and various chemicals. How can that be good for you? However, only eating healthy foods... I can't say that's very sound either. Pretty good advice honestly, from such a monstrous man.
The episodes where Baki and Yujiro we’re hanging out as father and son are my favourite episodes of the anime, and coincidentally there was no fighting involved.
This was a great ending to a very awesome series. As wholesome as it could get for these two and Yujiro actually educating his son on etiquette and how to enjoy food of all kinds, while giving proper respect to a man who gave his all in a fight that he could have eventually demolished him in ... but chose to simply win on a technicality they both agreed upon.

Hearing Yujiro educate Baki on what he eats, now it makes so much sense how someone like Baki's mom would have known what to tell Baki when he started training to defeat his father. He probably talked about it in depth when she would ask. He's passionate, knowledgeable, and of course very particular and strict, otherwise he wouldn't be the strongest.
Voice actings are awesome If they delay and fixed the animation abit more, then it'll be amazing. There're so many scenes from manga that look epic, even yuujiro's crying demon back get skipped
Yujiro: Look at food before you eat it. Eat nutritious food as well as junk food. Digest it and turn it into bodymass. Baki: He truly is the wisest man to ever live.
I like how Baki uses hyperbole to tell what is really just a story of a boy growing up and learning to stand equal to his father. Like sure, tons of crazy batshit stuff happens, people have literal super powers, and Yujiro is basically the devil, but framing it all like this just for father and son to share a meal together and speak as equals... I love how well that very real feeling a lot of men deal with is portrayed through hyper masculine melodrama.
Why are seeing these moments of Yujiro acting like a normal father so cute to me? The guy is a psychopath and yet I find him adorable throughout this entire compilation, How?
It's both weird and wholesome to see Yujiro and his son together like this where the situation doesn't involve animosity

3:29 you can see the hapiness of yujiro from his eyes. As a father he is happy to see that his son is enjoying the food.
I swear this is the only series that has these guys brutally beating each other while also making it wholesome at the same time
It is wholesome to see Yujiro not fighting for a change
This is the most wholesome thing I've ever seen
Please Netflix please give us Baki next Miyamoto Musashi Arc❤
Musashi, Sukune, Kehaya, and Jack dou (Baki rahen)
So soon why ask again they will do it
@@KULMXSHEVSHXIKHXT Are you Netflix? If you're not Netflix, shut up because I didn't ask you
Surprisingly wholesome considering, the fight was about to start
Enjoying food with a friend is a blessing, thanks to god🙏
"Be aware of what you eat. That is the responsibility and duty of those who consume life."
Now that's a philosophy to get behind.
Voice actings are awesome
If they delay and fixed the animation abit more, then it'll be amazing.
There're so many scenes from manga that look epic, even yuujiro's crying demon back get skipped
"Invisible food"
"That's what it has always been about, Invisible food"
Yujiro: Look at food before you eat it. Eat nutritious food as well as junk food. Digest it and turn it into bodymass.
Baki: He truly is the wisest man to ever live.
This is better than what many have when it comes to a relationship with their father.
It's honestly amazing to me how they were able to make these two so wholesome, even when they're in the middle of trying to kill each other ^w^
Classicman D said it best. Yujiro is a bad father, but he's the perfect father for a Hanma. They're just quite literally built different
Ultimately he just wants his son to be as strong as him. He gives sage advice and tough love but that's his way.
Yujiro seems downright admirable in these scenes. Unfortunately, I can’t forget how Jack was born.
She deserved it for betraying the Goat
@@freddimaus🗿
@@freddimaus Saying someone deserves rape is repugnant. Please go to sleep and wake up a better human being.
@@EmptyMan000take a chill pill
@@EmptyMan000 Just a minor character who tried to screw with our gigachad Yujiro so yeah, I say deserved.
Why are seeing these moments of Yujiro acting like a normal father so cute to me? The guy is a psychopath and yet I find him adorable throughout this entire compilation, How?
