Well Pantheon ascended the mountain and got possessed by an asshole god so that was a misadventure. Also the god possessing him died in a fight with Darkin that he seemed out so that was a misadventure for the god. XD
To tack onto the Freljord discussion another champion that uses magic in the region, besides Nunu, is Udyr though he doesnt really have misadventures as much as he had a journey in Ionia.
i got them all right as they are ready in the game such as rumble and pantheon and ahri but kennen was bound since we lacked yordles but i was suprise that rumble was a discard unit lmao
Rumble needed to play into Sion in order to make a cohesive pair in the set. Also (kinda) makes sense since Rumble is always fixing his mech, so he is "discarding" old pieces (I think that is how they are justifying it).
Hello. I really enjoy you're content. I have to say though, there's quite a bit I feel like you missed in this video. I'm going to go over that in detail below, but tldr: we're getting more champions this set for sure, and I feel like there's some factors you didn't consider when looking over champion possibilities. I'm pretty confident we're getting four and four champions for the next two expansions. Each set has a total of two more champions than the last, bringing the total number of non-event champions to the same level across all the regions. With that pattern, we're currently at 9/17, thus meaning we still need eight more champions. Plus this set has every pure region champion paired with a dual region yordle. For that, we need a yordle for Sion, a pure Demacian champion for Poppy, both champions for Freljord, both for Targon, and both for Ionia. You could argue that we have an Ionian yordle in Lulu, but looking at her LoL kit compared to Ahri's, I don't think they'd mesh well together and she'd work better with Kennen. (I don't think there's any doubt that we're getting Ahri this expansion, way too many things line up). If they do design her to fit with Lulu (like Caitlyn and Nami were designed to fit with Teemo and Fizz and later Jayce with Heimerdinger), then I can see Bandle City getting an extra pure region champion instead. However, for reason's I'll go over later, I think this is highly unlikely. For Demacia, you connected the champions to the theme, but not to their partner already in the game: Poppy. She's all about board wide buffs via combat. I feel like Sylas, Galio, and Sona make for a spectrum of possibilities. Sylas fits the theme, but doesn't really work with Poppy in terms of helping others in combat. Sona works great for supporting others while being magical, but doesn't quite fit the 'misadventures' bit. Galio hits the sweet spot in the middle where I could easily see him supporting or protecting others on the board while still better fitting the theming well enough. Due to us getting four champions, we should be getting two Bandle City champions. Yumi is a shew in, and the only other Yordles that even slightly fit this theme that're left are Vex(who would overlap with Viegar in SI), and Kennen. Rumble and Corki are much more mechanically inclined, and Kled is far more militaristic than magical. You could argue Gnar could also fit, but I feel like it'd be a stretch. Kennen would fit well with Ahri, while also fitting the theme very well. So, to officially lay my cards on the table, I think we're getting Yumi, Kennen, Ahri, and Galio (Even if I would personally prefer Sona).

To be honest I ignored the possibility of the 4/4 champions in the upcoming expansions because I was counting the other Yordles that were already in the game. It was my mistake for not mentioning it in the video. However, after reading your comment, I do agree with you and all the points you make. I am confident that Galio would be included over Sylas. As for Yuumi, she could set up Targon for the next expansion (if it turns out we don’t get Bard in this expansion), much like Sion is setting up Rumble. But, I do feel like adding Kennen now would be weird: we would have 2 Yordles in P&Z, while the rest of the regions have only 1. Ivern is a supp jungle and I am confident that he will maintain that playstyle in LoR, being a good pair for Lulu and keeping Kennen for another expansion. Then again, I might be reading this completely wrong. I’m really torn with this. I went with the 3 champ per expansion due to that being the case with both Targon & Shurima, and I do think that including 1 more Yordle per remaining region as a dual region card would leave us with practically no Yordles for future sets/expansions. Making BC a tough region to fill!

We'll just have to wait and see what the last expansion's theme is before trying to narrow that down assuming we're right about this one. Riot likes to capitalize on events across their games as much as possible ever since they expanded. When LoL is having a notable event, every game shares that event. With the Ahri-versery, it'd be the perfect time to add her into the game, even if it would slightly contradict with what the rest of the champions did with pre-established Yordles. Assuming we get four more BC champs, that'll put the total after this set is done at 12 champions compared to every other region's 8-10. I feel like they'd be comfortable skipping BC a couple times for the other regions to catch up, with Lulu and Heimer getting more direct BC support instead like Teemo and Fizz got. A tangent I'll add on at the bottom here that doesn't directly affect this set or BC, but the Region I'm actually worried about is Bilgewater, who'll be the only region with only 8 champions at the end of this set. They have Graves and Illaoi for sure, but no other established champions. I could see an argument for putting Janna there because she has connections to sailors and the sea. I've heard the suggestion that maybe Olaf would work if they have non BC dual region cards. Aside from BC(who already will have the most champs by at least two), every other region will have at least five clear options before they'll have to start getting new champs in LoL, stealing from other regions, or making their own champions specifically for LoR.
I think that this is something that the team has already solved internally. I agree, Bilgewater (and BC) are running out of champions... I mean, Bilgwater has Graves & Illaoi left. I do think that Janna will be added to Bilgewater. Introducing dual regions to champions outside of BC, I agree that Olaf could work, so that is at least 4 more sets before they run out of champions. I think by that point we will have more Bilgewater reps.
Yeah I think for Targon I think Bard will be paired with Yuumi as the Targon/Bandle city champions. And I wouldn't be surprised if they synergize around a manifest archetype
pantheon really fits that magical misadventure theme. he tried to climb targon with his bro but his bro died when they were at the peak and the god pantheon took atheus body (this is his real name btw). its an accident where he lost his bro and a celestial took over his body and with celestials we immediatly assume magic so the story is an magical misadventure.
But the champion himself has a bigger connection (thematically) with war than with "something magical happened". Even his design says "warrior" over "magic", and new players who might not know the champion will associate him with that. So he would be the odd one out in this particular theme.
Magical misadventures also means causing mischief… so yuumi, ahri, and nunu this time round imo, then gnar, pantheon, and kled/rumble in February. Whatever demacia champion could slot in anywhere tbh.
Yes, at the time of recording I didn't even mention Kennen because of the fact that Lulu already works as the Bandle City/Ionia dual Yordle. With Teemo & Hemierdinger for Bandle City/Piltover & Zaun, we didn't get any Yordle for that region, so I assumed (probably wrong on my part) that we wouldn't get a second Bandle City dual card for a region that already has one. The comments think otherwise ;P Yuumi & Bard would be the best pair ever!

I skipped over Gnar, because I believe that he will be included in the February expansion, so I didn't go into too much detail. And it is true, I glossed over Yuumi's justification for being included, but I did so because at this point everyone links her to the theme and I didn't want to be too redundant. Ahri for a fact is guaranteed to come this expansion since she is getting the Ahri-niverssary event on the same date of release. upon my own examination the next dual region yordles should be from : Noxus, Targon, Ionia and Freljord. Gnar, Rumble,Kennen and yuumi Gnar is obviously freljord Rumble most likely noxus ( though he can be solo bandle much like tristana ) Kennen is ionia Yuuumi is targon since it is connected to the spirit realm
I took a look in details of the art work and creatures in the new cards and last expansion, and these are what I seem to find that can be close to next Champs.... ( udyr, xayah, rakan, sett, rakan, neeko, camile, Lillian, kled, ivern, mord, gnar.. those I believe to be the next Champs.... the one card indicates a highly likely rakan and xayah ( wingsinger ) and in the targon art it seems to closely related to ryze
i think sometime your missing is ionia and noxus are at awar all the time. the next yordles i think are kennen and kled for noxus. i think yummi as mono targon seems ok also
Next expansion: for Bandle City/Targon (probably Yuumi), Bandle City/Freljord (Gnar 100%). Freljord & Demacia are a big question, but we will tackle them when we get to January/February.
guys its magical missadventures i think we should add ryze i remember watching an old video of league where ryze used like gem stones and then a lot of destruction happening , for demacia i think its gonna be sylas and mark my words im thinkings his lvl up going to be about using capture,good combo with tahm kench,so i think its going to be ryze,sylas,ahri(for sure),gnar
I think the theme “misadventures” lends more to mischief than misfortune especially considering we are dealing with bandle city and yordles. This makes to believe Galio, Nunu and Bard have a high probability of being included, ionia is tricky it could easily be Ahri but I also think Lillia fits the theme very strongly aswell
It can be interpreted both ways. I believed it meant mischief until I looked it up for this video... I learnt something new! TheSkilledRoy (amazing content creator btw, you should check him out) believes that the champions included that are not part of Bandle City are more "dark and edgy" to have a balance with the whimsical theme from the Yordles. If this is the case, I think the definition presented in the video is more accurate.

iven could have a mecanich where he protect beast units with shield ( barrier) or hiding them in grass (evasion/ spell shield) to allow them to grow ( like each time they are protected gain a +1 . and his evolved form can summon a Daisy unit whit him on atack
Well this didnt age well. But your ahri was right. And you even got rumble. The cinematic showed ava going to the freilord so I have a feeling either gnar or nunu will show up as the last champ
Yeah… Riot really said ignore the title of the expansion and add Rumble & Pantheon 😂. Also Kennen came out of left field… This has been a magical misadventure for the LoR theorists. The remaining champions coming in February need to be from Demacia & Freljord, Bandle City/Freljord (Gnar) & Bandle City/Targon (Yuumi?). I’ll lock in my champions in January after I do research (and ignore the title of the expansion).
I was thinking perhaps Vayne could be the Demacian champion, since her "magical misadventure" was that her parents were slain by a magical monster, Evelyn
Morgana and kayle are a perfect fit for this patch I mean look at the name of this patch and their story and to make it easier kayle can be from targon and morgana can be from Damacia
when i saw the yordles release i though it would include gnar as freljord and probably kled, but if we include rumble and corki maybe they would be released in future expansions to avoid making the champion pool bigger for that region
Ahri is featured in the Tail-Cloak Matriarch card released in the Beyond the Bandlewood expansion. She also fits the Magical Misadventures expansion theme and the Ahri-versary is happening soon in League of Legends. I was also watching a video from Swim reacting to TheSkilledRoy's video about the expansion and Swim mentioned that when they revealed the card at a tournament, they were explicitly told to not say "Ahri" at all, which is suspicious ngl. So yeah, 95% sure that we are getting Ahri.
Udyr would be nice, I just hope they add him after his rework in League, so we have him be consistent in all games. It would suck to have a repeat of Dr. Mundo in League of Legends & Wild Rift.
I don't think "too new" is a good counterargument for lillia, I'm not saying she's coming but for example akshan was released the same time as in league, and viego is half a year newer than her
The issue here is that those were event expansions, like with Aphelios before them. The main sets & expansions are created years in advance and if you notice the newer champions have been added in their own separate "event expansions" because they were being worked on on a separate timeline than the "core" sets & expansions. That is why we haven't seen the newer champions be released in the big expansions.
Piltover had Jayce and he already had a recent Caitlyn, just because there was the nami who can't have another champion of sentry waters and as she has a follower of illaoi and ahri, in my opinion, she comes with these 3 that I mentioned and the riot always leaves champion track ..

@@lotadl6406 but as we knew ahri would be coming because she got a card, and we knew ekko and pyke where coming because they got cards that comfirmed them before hand. Battle bonds is objectively a pantheon card, so highly likely to be him. Also don’t forget that yuumi in league is a support that buffs up your adc or a bruiser… while she could be manifest (aka bard) it’s also very likely she’s a support champion that synergies with buffing up a ‘carry’ which pantheon would fit well.

Your view is all wrong I'm sorry but it's the truth missing Ava or visiting the sentinel waters and riot gave several spoilers about Illaoi and with the arrival of Ruinid King they wish to bring illaoi as a secret champion together with Ahri !!
We already have Nami as the Bilgewater champion. Illaoi won't be added in this expansion (or set for that matter). If they were going to add her to the game because of Ruined King, they would've done so with the release of the game (or in the last patch with the Ruined King themed cosmetics. I really want Illaoi to be added, but we will have to wait a bit more.
Champions getting new stories doesn’t correlate to being released in other games earlier. The stories of Bard & Sona I brought up during the video where used to give context clues to their backstories and how they would fit with the theme of the expansion. The Void-related champions will be included in the game soon™️. I doubt it will be in the Beyond the Bandlewood set.
Bilgewater already has Nami for this set, but I would love to see Illaoi soon! As for Ionia, I doubt they would add more than 1 champion in the same expansion, but hey, who knows!

TheSkilledRoy (amazing content creator btw, you should check him out) believes that the champions included that are not part of Bandle City are more "dark and edgy" to have a balance with the whimsical theme from the Yordles. If this is the case, I think the definition presented in the video is more accurate.
@@FactsofRuneterra that makes sense. It gives them room for more creative and interesting and contrasting pairings like Senna/Veigar and Teemo/Cait. I still wish they went full into the mischief and whimsy ;(

iven could have a mecanich where he protect beast units with shield ( barrier) or hiding them in grass (evasion/ spell shield) to allow them to grow ( like each time they are protected gain a +1 . and his evolved form can summon a Daisy unit whit him on atack

Yeah, Lillia is way to new for this expansion, but I would love to see her. Currently Ahri seems like the one that will be included!

Yeah… Riot really said ignore the title of the expansion and add Rumble & Pantheon 😂. Also Kennen came out of left field… This has been a magical misadventure for the LoR theorists.
The remaining champions coming in February need to be from Demacia & Freljord, Bandle City/Freljord (Gnar) & Bandle City/Targon (Yuumi?). I’ll lock in my champions in January after I do research (and ignore the title of the expansion).

when i saw the yordles release i though it would include gnar as freljord and probably kled, but if we include rumble and corki maybe they would be released in future expansions to avoid making the champion pool bigger for that region

Ahri is featured in the Tail-Cloak Matriarch card released in the Beyond the Bandlewood expansion. She also fits the Magical Misadventures expansion theme and the Ahri-versary is happening soon in League of Legends.
I was also watching a video from Swim reacting to TheSkilledRoy's video about the expansion and Swim mentioned that when they revealed the card at a tournament, they were explicitly told to not say "Ahri" at all, which is suspicious ngl.
So yeah, 95% sure that we are getting Ahri.

i think from frejord its gonna be udyr though not a mage he is a shaman which deals with magic and has a pretty crazy backstory
Udyr would be nice, I just hope they add him after his rework in League, so we have him be consistent in all games. It would suck to have a repeat of Dr. Mundo in League of Legends & Wild Rift.

I don't think "too new" is a good counterargument for lillia, I'm not saying she's coming but for example akshan was released the same time as in league, and viego is half a year newer than her
The issue here is that those were event expansions, like with Aphelios before them. The main sets & expansions are created years in advance and if you notice the newer champions have been added in their own separate "event expansions" because they were being worked on on a separate timeline than the "core" sets & expansions. That is why we haven't seen the newer champions be released in the big expansions.
Piltover had Jayce and he already had a recent Caitlyn, just because there was the nami who can't have another champion of sentry waters and as she has a follower of illaoi and ahri, in my opinion, she comes with these 3 that I mentioned and the riot always leaves champion track ..
It' a shame havig Rumble in Noxus and not Kled (and Skaarl)...

It’s likely pantheon rather than bard (targon got the card battle bonds which is definitely one of his cards).

@@lotadl6406 but as we knew ahri would be coming because she got a card, and we knew ekko and pyke where coming because they got cards that comfirmed them before hand. Battle bonds is objectively a pantheon card, so highly likely to be him.
Also don’t forget that yuumi in league is a support that buffs up your adc or a bruiser… while she could be manifest (aka bard) it’s also very likely she’s a support champion that synergies with buffing up a ‘carry’ which pantheon would fit well.

Your view is all wrong I'm sorry but it's the truth missing Ava or visiting the sentinel waters and riot gave several spoilers about Illaoi and with the arrival of Ruinid King they wish to bring illaoi as a secret champion together with Ahri !!
We already have Nami as the Bilgewater champion. Illaoi won't be added in this expansion (or set for that matter). If they were going to add her to the game because of Ruined King, they would've done so with the release of the game (or in the last patch with the Ruined King themed cosmetics.
I really want Illaoi to be added, but we will have to wait a bit more.

Champions getting new stories doesn’t correlate to being released in other games earlier. The stories of Bard & Sona I brought up during the video where used to give context clues to their backstories and how they would fit with the theme of the expansion.
The Void-related champions will be included in the game soon™️. I doubt it will be in the Beyond the Bandlewood set.
