    You got the Boston accent down perfectly on the Lobstah! The Boston SIDs are all local flavor, often sports, and some make fun of the accent. I love airports like Boston which are not only on the ocean but also close to the city skyline. Makes for some amazing visuals as opposed to open flat land with a city off in the distance. Not to mention the beauty of Maine or Cape Cod after takeoff.
    Love the video and I so badly wanted this jet to work well at launch. It still has so many strengths but I’m really happy to see it getting some love. Very informative as always Emmanuel!

    You have a tendency to pitch up to 20 degrees on departure. Although it may seem logical to do so as a 737 pilot, it’s not correct. Standard procedure for pretty much any business jet, including the longitude, is to pitch up to the TO bars and just let it build speed. This is way more comfortable and safe because, as you could see in this departure, your speed will stay pretty close to the yellow stall bar. When I’m flying I usually don’t even change to another vertical mode until about fl100. Cheers!

    Great video, thanks, I have a query - the Cessna Citation Longitude features three rotary knobs (rotaries) underneath the central Garmin Touchscreen Controllers (GTCs) which are essential for various flight operations. As of the latest updates, there isn't direct keyboard shortcut functionality specifically for the rotary knobs on the GTCs.

    One BIG question. How do you manage to hold the plane at centerline during takeoff (and landing) roll? Auto rudder? I have pedals as well, it doesn’t work, I’m all over the place.

    • @danmoretti8898
      @danmoretti8898 Год назад +1

      Assuming you're already mindful/aware of how the wind affects your plane on the runway, then I bet you it would help to lower your pedal sensitivity substantially. Getting your sensitivity set based on "feel" is what you should go for - making changes leading to better controllability. But yeah, other than that just make sure you're not missing some basic understanding about how the wind affects your plane (weathervane effect in particular).

    • @tomaszlink447
      @tomaszlink447 Год назад

      I have them adjusted already. Still when I watch the videos, everyone handles it perfectly spot on. All I need is a tip.

    • @Phoenix37csp
      @Phoenix37csp Год назад

      sounds like your over correcting, which is very easy to do on PC pedals, since they offer no resistance at all to the quite large leg muscles of an average person. try putting your feet in one spot and waiting a second, if your feet are constantly moving left and right on the pedals, the plane will do the same. there is a bit of a delay in the sim between what your controller does, and the aircraft reacting, makes a lot of people over correct non stop.

    • @A330Driver
      @A330Driver  Год назад +1

      Smooth and small inputs is the key. As Boeing says "squeeze and hold"

    • @stenne9615
      @stenne9615 Год назад +1

      I'm using the pedals (accelerator and clutch) from my Logitec G27 Racing Wheel for steering this and other aircraft. But I must say it took me quite a lot of experimenting with the sensitivity settings within MSFS to get it working. And as said by others, very subtle inputs. I use my toes slightly pressing the pedals. I have no idea if this is relevant for other pedals, but this is my settings for the G27:
      RUDDER AXIS RIGHT (rev) - JOYSTICK L-AXIS Y (accelerator pedal)
      RUDDER AXIS LEFT (rev) - JOYSTICK SLIDER Y (clutch pedal)
      The sensitivity settings were as follows (same for both axis):
      SENSITIVITY- = 40%
      SENSITIVITY+ = -30%
      DEADZONE = 0%
      NEUTRAL = 60%
      EXTREMITY DEADZONE = 0%
      REACTIVITY = 100%
      One thing I always need do before I start rolling from a standstill is to move the pedals back and forth two or three times so the front landing wheel is forced into a neutral position. Sometimes it gets stuck in a turning position which can't be observed when looking at the front wheel in the external view. But this phenomena might be due to the G27.

  • @90pokerjoker

    with full fuel, you can climb to FL410 initially and then stepclimb. Also depending on jetstream it might actually be more economical to stay lower to get more tailwind.

Above FL410 you are above the RVSM stratum and need an additional 2000ft separation between aircraft. Only assignable altitudes above FL410 are in 2000 ft increments, FL430,FL450,FL470,FL490,FL510 etc.
