    I'm really grateful that you are doing these videos demonstrating how wonderful MSFS 2020 is even in the default state. So many people only find fault.

    Watching the preflight I'm just amazed that these are now the default avionics for this aircraft.

    40:50 Good comment on PAPI visibility. I used to think not seeing them on real world GA approaches was some form of target fixation (extreme runway focus) but later i realized they just aren’t that visible in bright daylight.

    • @SpaceDad42
      @SpaceDad42 4 месяца назад

      Sure they are. I’ve never had an issue in 30 years of flying.

      @@SpaceDad42 I’ve been flying since the 80’s (mostly California, Washington, Alaska, Utah, Nevada) in bright weather w/ highly variable terrain. I guess “mileage may vary,” esp. due to distance from the field.

    Nice flight! I love flying in and out of KASE!

  • @lyingcat9022
    @lyingcat9022 3 месяца назад +1

    KASE is primarily a one way in one way out airport. 15 for arrival 33 for departure. It’s common to accept a tail wind for 15. Cuz 33 is downhill, the end being 200 feet lower than the threshold. And south of the field is not great for circling to land since it’s all rising terrain.

    Great video. Was a bit confused as you were setting up to land on Rwy 33. Ironically I was going to request that u do a video on that Rwy 15 approach. Botched it recently.

    Two of my favorite airports in the colorado area. I often fly in colorado and arizona. Prefer to fly the black square tbm 850 in that area, but sometimes fly the longitude as well.

    I fly in to Aspen a lot in real life. It is a wild ride for sure.

    The Citation Longitude's cabin altitude is 5950ft, that's why it was descending after takeoff. Great video btw, I do love the Longitude with its airliner-like performance!

    You make it look so easy. I can't tell you how many kisses I've taken there in the Longitude in good weather and bad. Each one was white nuckle scary. Those mountains get really big, very fast.

    Rwy 33 is Downhill so longer landing distance

  • @LeSaxon90

    The Longitudes Fadec system will cut the Auto throttle automatically once you're over the threshold. No need for manual throttle control when landing. Although I recommend A final VREF landing speed set for full flaps between 116 and 125 knots. Always enjoy your videos 😎

    Im so bummed I don't have this plane, This video made me realize that I bought the Deluxe version, not the premium deluxe. This whole time I thought I had the PD version, bummed.

    Was the decision to do a flaps 1 takeoff due to the altitude or climb gradient requirements? Everything I've read in the WT discord said a Flaps 2 TO was pretty typical

    What happened to the circle to land 33?

    • @SpaceDad42
      @SpaceDad42 4 месяца назад +2

      Normal procedure at Aspen is to land on runway 15 and takeoff 33, winds permitting. Circling there has a high pucker factor.

    Was sagst du eigentlich zu Beginn deiner Videos immer? Ich verstehe 'I'm a model, I'm an airline pilot'. Stimmt das? Und wenn ja, was für ein Model bist du? Hast du einen Link auf Bilder von dir?
