WOODY! Appreciate and Loving ALL the effort this year/season with Skid Factory Intros! End Credit Scenes have always been great. But these have been special. Specially this one!
the Offerings to the Gods of Speed got me, flashbacks of Burt Munro's shelf full of melted pistons great work on the intro btw, rather jelly. but who knew a carby tune for a blow through turbo could be so easy? big ups to RayJE
Was pretty cool seeing EFI and Carb in same episode. Up here in canukistan, it's about a 50/50 split between the two types. I finally made the jump from 0ld school engines with carb to newer tech engine with efi about 4 years ago...can't say as I'd ever go back. Carbs can be great for sure...but can't beat the possible economy along side power that engine management systems enjoy.
Great to see Ray get on board with one of his carbies, a true gentleman. I dropped a recommendation in the comments of the track testing video 👌🏻 He contacted us with some tips and things to look for while tuning the Procharged XY. 20psi on E85 with no cooler and she's lovin life!
So good to see Ray guys and yes, he's a bloody guru with those old school carbie things 😉 I still have a 750 he worked his magic on many, many years ago. Great episode 👍
those intake carb hats lose between 40 to 70 hp over something like an extreme velocity pro hat as well, cheap hp by getting the flow to point in the right direction but it looks like you're limited by stock block there not the turbo system, dart block is a good investment to push it over 1khp
Like the door handle comment. Ford spare parts used to have a box on the counter of replacement door handles for the XD & XEs given the frequency that they broke.
Both of these vehicles are awesome! I would be proud to own and operate either…fantastic job on the builds gentlemen. Keep up the great work…take care and God bless…David.
The Hoff i great, and Ray seems like a proper legend. That tailshaft breaking was crazy, with Al standing so close in flip-flops! How will John's ute now work with E85 without an intercooler?
The advantage of carb or upstream mechanical injection is that the atomisation of the fuel absorbs heat from the air. In Ray's experience you can go to around 20 PSI boost on a correctly sized turbo before intake temps become a problem.
I had XE wagon in the late 90's. It was a good car too. It got written off by a Drunk Driver in a TE Cortina, which totally destroyed and yet the drunk driver of it staggered away from it. Sweet old Holden on the lift.
Ray is the boss, I now understand that I know much less than I thought. It's not for everyone but what Ray produces and the knowledge in his head is amazing.
I know I'm a few years younger than you Al but Hi-Tower was my favorite officer. Talk about an absolute tank of a man. It would be rather funny to see him try to fit in an old firebird.
Awesome car, I love the colour. it would look lovely with some unheard of 80's spec black lattice wheels. It could really tow a caravan lovely. That barra sounds angry! The blood on the floor signals a win after some repair work I might add.
You guys need a new tail shaft supplier.. like the kind that goes "Eh boss? Al just called. Should I just do Standard Overkill with a double dose of Indestructible right off the bat or do you want him to call back when it's in three pieces?"
Ever since I was a kid I've always loved the old Clevo's. And John's ute is super tough. But man a barra makes those numbers so easily. And so streetable. Never sound as good though.
Drive shaft was the fusible link barely protecting what was on either end of it. Back in the day the rule of thumb for converting motorcycles to alcohol was to just throw away the jets.
Glad to see I'm not the only one with tailshaft issues unfortunately mine didn't turn out quite as well as the big wags lol I now have no rear floor pan 😅
Brilliant title sequence. That looks like a fricken crimscene under the XE there too. Was Al standing next to the monitor there in his QLD safety boots when that let go?
Seems like sometimes you can't do everything in one dyno session. With a new build all you can do is get it started and idling maybe a few revs. Drive it gently make sure nothing falls apart. But there could be stuff that goes wrong on the dyno that you can't test. As Al always says prep is the key
We’ve got Hoodies available for Pre Order! Don’t forget to get your orders in!

Hightower in Honda Civic 😅👌
That intro was mint 👌 🤣🤣🤣
Hell yeah. Awesome intro 👍👍👍👍👍
Should install a drain under the Hoff’s dyno at this point. 😅
There is 4 blokes at the top of their own games making that ute a sweet sensation. Well played
That really was an impressively flat afr from a carb. That guy definitely knows what he's doing.
Ray is a bit of a guru 👌🏻
I'm 37 and got both those references so does that make me old lol.
Allan, I too got the Hoff & Hightower reference... 80's rocked Brother!
6:46 Legendary troll there Woody!!! I thought some bits of turbine went flying at first haha
The Law and Order theme was flawless! Absolutely loved it.

How about the little FKNWHOOSH out of the bov?
That 351 is to wild for it's block awesome
I loved the editing here by woody! Everything was spot on 😂

Dam atomic chain tensioner, always use OEM for for that part!
would love to hear more from Ray sometime. Seems so chilled out and knowledgeable im sure some great nerdy convos could happen

13:30 yep I'm that old ha ha! Night Rider & Hightower man they were some great series with the Hoff & loved the Police Academy movies ha ha!
Love the old skool cars, real driver's stuff

Contact for ray Rage Beaudesert?, can’t find him on Google?
@@nathanweiland4867 Try searching RayJE Carburetors mate 👍🏻
You've had some Carnage! Wait, What!?
Couldn't let you have all the fun hey Scotty.
Lucky no one was hurt when that tail shaft let go 😮😮😮
Certainly did some damage
That was amazing at 6.46, I saw the "woosh" fly, nice!
I went a 2 piece shaft for my ba wagon 9 inch setup, I'm glad I did seeing this.
So good to see Ray guys and yes, he's a bloody guru with those old school carbie things 😉

Dont think dart make a cleveland block unless hes willing to build a clevor
@@RobStaniford Arrow block for clevo?

That cleavo sounds like nascar cup engine's In the late 70s... Rock on
worth watching through all the credits for the 2 ding noise. haha
Cracked up at the fella when he said we'll just "weld up" the tail shaft at the end of the vid... classic.
Cool video! And gotta love the start of the video, and all other law and order references😄
This was an awesome episode. dun dun!
Knightrider reruns were my jam when I was younger
Both of these vehicles are awesome! I would be proud to own and operate either…fantastic job on the builds gentlemen. Keep up the great work…take care and God bless…David.
The intro this week is amazing!
Miss the Nugget Garage videos. The Hoff should upload some customer cars like he has done, love seeing the different builds.
Great intro woody, love your work

Thoughts and prayers to all of Australia, hope everyone is safe and dry
It's a small part of Aus suffering. Send those prayers to the Ukraine.
@Adam check the dates bruh. You missed the point 🤦
Thanks for taking us along Al
Nice intro. And made a 2 piece driveshaft that’s wild.
Best intro on a SF video yet... Got actualols from me!
Love the intro guys best intro you've done
FKNWOOSH! My favorite editing touch ever.
im glad youve still got ankles after that Al!
You bunch of dogs make me smile every time
One of the best episodes you guys have done. Well done
Great work Ray
That crab. Looks epic!
Even All seems to be exited😛

Sweet old Holden on the lift.
Kinda glad they make us put driveshaft hoops in now in NZ for most modified cars
Scatter shields for certain things too. once you see them let go quickly realise why needed
The suspenseful music was on point
Well done Ray Edwards. Alan don't be scared of what you don't understand. Carbie for the win
Ray is the boss, I now understand that I know much less than I thought. It's not for everyone but what Ray produces and the knowledge in his head is amazing.
Intro was great, would love to see what's up with the mini 😁
Thanks for sharing mate
Cheers 🍻🍻
Ok , I’ll eat my words about the elite 2500! Well done getting the blow through to work !
I know I'm a few years younger than you Al but Hi-Tower was my favorite officer. Talk about an absolute tank of a man. It would be rather funny to see him try to fit in an old firebird.
I'm probably considerably younger than al. But high tower transcends generations for some people including me.
Absolutely love the intro!! Love your content!
Making me feel old with those movie/TV references.
I reckon driveshaft loops should be mandatory for dyno sessions hahaha
Loved the themed intro 👌
Looking forward to see this car back at the channel
Please keep the law and order intro forever. It is the best
Woody, editing is gold!
I got both those references al love ya work
*I love this channel cheers from the U.S*
Awesome vid Allan A great bunch of talented guys! 👍🏻👍🏻
Ripper soode, snapping tail shafts new carby stuff. Sweet as. Cheers mate 👍
Ray is a legend.
The references of knight rider with david hasslehoff and police academy with the front seats removed from the mini haha
Huge thumbs Up to the episode layout
Works of art...
Perfect explanation of the highest levels of built automobiles.
Good content 🇦🇺🤜🏼🤛🏼🍀🍀🍀😎😂😂😂

Hotwires
Allycat rally specials if you could get them in the right size?
Na she needs chrome 12 slotters with chrome dress trims.
Barra won.

Surprised the carby didn't need any tuning, good stuff 👍🏻
I got your TV references....God I'm old! 😁😥
Any help in what brand of tensioner that was so others can avoid that issue??
Love the Channel have been watching you guys in the States wish more Barra’s where here would love to swap one in my 90 fox body coupe.
Love the intro.. got a good laugh out of it today..

If I had the coin and more so the skill a 245 Volvo+ Barra combo with cheese would be frigging awesome, the XE and XC are pretty sweet too.
Brilliant title sequence.

Love the intro woody you crazy lad.
Twenty second in and laughing already. Love it, you guys are the right form of mental.
One of the nicest wagons goin 💪💪💪💪
Phenomenal intro brother!! Great shit dudes
two of the sickest workshops 😄🇭🇲
👌🏻 the law and order touch very nice
Lost it at the Law And Order stuff 😂
Good stuff Turbo Yoda. OBD2Kenobi sure likes breakin tailshafts. cheers.
That V8 sounds SOOOO good!
Hell yeh love the police academy reference
Lost. My. Shit. At that introduction. Well done gentlemen

So who was holding the camera at the time and how close did it pass by?
I was waiting for the comical tune from Kiwi cops after the intro. Bid boiz bid boiz, wich ya ginna du? Wich yu ginna du win the come fur yuuu
Lifters loping on lobes, what a great noise.
The iconic csi da da 😂 every time.
Great episode lads.
It must not be too iconic since the sound effect is from Law and Order, not CSI lol
6:53 is that a big Lez show reference? lol
That tail shaft is one for the pool room
