  • I love growing Limes! They are a beautiful tree with dark green foliage. You can harvest limes on my area about 8 months out of the year. Limes are great for specialty drinks, cooking all kinds of dishes and You can use the leaves for Tea!
    Enjoy 🌻👩🏼‍🌾

    Thanks for the video! I've got 12 citrus trees all in containers (Texas).

    My Bearss Lime tree never has limes as big as the middle one you showed. I'm very impressed!

    Hi from NSW, Australia. Thank you, this is so helpful as I was convinced til now that my lime tree was a lemon tree. I just enjoyed a lime in my tea and was wondering why it didn't taste lemony. You've answered it 😊

      They really do! This has caused confusion for many people growing Limes for the first time. But it is nice to know you can use all your Limes on your tree regardless of the season🌻👩🏼‍🌾

    Thank you for your great information. I'm wondering if each stage has a different amount of juice? I bought small limes that were still very green and solid but had very little available juice. I have a line tree now and your information has allowed me to know I have an intermediate lime or two ready to pick.!! Thank you again!😊

    Great video! I was curious what you have growing in the pot at the base of the tree?

    What type of container do you grow your limes in? Plastic, ceramic, or terracotta?

    Thats for bearss limes right. Key limes are ripe when they are green. But I use my bearss limes green and yellow.

    I disagree that the younger limes have more "lime flavor." They are certainly more acidic. I would say that the flavor of the ripe ones is able to shine through more clearly with less acidity.

    What vegetation are you growing at the base of your line tree?

      It appears to be white sweet alyssum. Technically an annual in the States, but it reseeds itself so prolifically we consider it acts like a perennial. Also in beautiful shades of rose, violet and purple.

    Can you refrigerate limes

    • @hillsideurbangarden1380
      @hillsideurbangarden1380  2 года назад +1

      Yes you can. They will last a few weeks in the refrigerator, sometimes a bit longer. You can also juice them and freeze the juice in ice trays for up to a year. 🌻👩🏼‍🌾

      Yes it is! This Lime is a Semi-Dwarf tree grown 10 years in this container. Citrus grown in a container stay small. It’s a great idea for a small garden or patio space as well. For me, this makes it easy to move around the garden and we get plenty of Limes each year to enjoy! 🌻👩🏼‍🌾
