    I highly recommend germinating seeds from fresh Kaffir lime fruits to increase the germination rate. Sometimes the dried seeds you buy online are old and no longer viable, it's a hit or miss. With fresh Kaffir lime fruits, you can guarantee healthier seeds. Happy gardening!

    Use the fruit itself to clean your hair too. Helps get rid of build up. My mother in law from Thailand had me try it and it worked so well. I only wish I could find the fresh fruit here in Massachusetts so I can grow some plants in the house. I use to have a couple plants indoors when we lived in Michigan but they both died and not sure what I did wrong.

      That's amazing! I'm glad you were able to germinate some. I find the highest germination rate comes from freshly harvested seeds rather than dried seeds. They love lots of light, humidity, and warmth. Thank you for watching!

      I highly recommend buying the fruit instead and harvesting and germinating the seeds that way. Many of the dried seeds you buy online may be old and may not germinate. I had a lot of luck with germinating seeds from fresh Kaffir lime fruit from the Etsy website. Type Kaffir lime fruit on the site and several vendors will pop up. Make sure their review is good 😊

      Thank you for watching. Yes, I seal the bag and no extra water is added during the week. The moist paper towels/napkins are adequate to germinate the seeds since the bag is sealed.

      Me too, I currently don't have any outdoor space since I moved. Kaffir lime trees require warmth and light. If you don't have those, you can supplement with a heating pad and artificial grow lights. That's what I'm using right now 🙂

    • @ThunThunChannel
      @ThunThunChannel  Год назад

      I put them under the shade, not because it made a difference but because that’s where I keep my heat mats. The seeds actually don’t need any light until they germinate, just heat. Once they germinated, I put them under bright light.

    • @ThunThunChannel

      Hello, thank you for watching. They won't have a strong fragrance until they get a bit bigger. Even when they are just seedlings, many of them will not develop the double lobes (true leaves) until they get a few inches taller. Give it a bit more time. Let me know if you have any other questions.
