The real leather patch was replaced with a high grade bonded fiber around 1950. This was because real leather shrunk and then cracked when the jeans were hot washed or boiled. You occasionally see how the patch shrunk on the back pocket of vintage Wranglers.

Ridiculous! “Originals” are absolutely affordable, especially on sales, at their sites, Amazon, Levi stores worldwide, etc. Who wants to fake $15 - $65 jeans??? For some Asian markets maybe, to sell for some even better prices? Well, can you go and pick up one? What for??? The company has some very different and real problems, though. They discontinued their really good products, such as made in the USA, 505 rigid, extra strong Dyneema, etc. WHAT INSTEAD??? For the last two years, the new models are now more hipster-like. I’ll get some Wranglers, instead. They remain real jeans...
Fabrizio Gibin same here in Eastern Europe. But, there are businesses, that help to bring your orders from USA sites, such as Levi’s, wrangler, lee, or amazon, to your door. I used to buy clothes and shoes 2-5 times cheaper, and pay from 5 to 20 bucks delivery. Non- USA 501 cost $30-35 in that case. Just try them at your local store, and order 3 pair for the same $100. If you want to. As far as I know, there used to be domestic production in Brazil. In 1983, I wore us top brand jeans, made in Brazil. Pretty heavy denim. And it was cheap. 3500 cruzeiro, or smth alike))).
The zipper is from Levi's 505 (not from 501) and is included in the video to compare the zipper component of Levi's jeans as well. Peace :)

@@budweiser6353 IT MEAN U HAVE ALL FAKE ....
It's a very confusing video I think. I have 14 501 jeans all bought from high street Levis stores in London and New York, made in Mexico, Colombia, Pakistan, etc. Some of these jeans might appear fake but the quality tells me they are real. The eldest jean that I still wear some times, dates back to 1982, what's that? 41 years old...
I saw another video, short and simple to spot fake 501 jeans.
A farmer who has no cotton is no farmer its a sausage !!!!!! Get that !!!!
Just go to the Levi’s Store 😂
Both are Fake, my first time to see a 501 zipper jeans 😂
The zipper component is from Levi's 505. Identical to 501, just with zippers.
I see! Good to know! Because i've using 501 button fly jeans more than half of my life and this is my first time to see zippered 501!
Lvc 501 1954 has zipper, it is called 501z lvc
Got 15 plus Levi’s pants. All types of numbers
All Levi Straus at present are brand names unlike the original 1800's Levi Strauss jeans...
the original one at your video made in Egypt , and iam from Egypt i never saw a levi made in Egypt even at Levis official store here at Egypt they are made in pakistan or turkey .... etc
Levi's has more than one factory in Egypt. A simple search will reveal even the location of the factories.
Yes, and they costed me $15 here in Pakistan, exceptional quality though.
ano ang mas mahal sa dalawa.501 o EJ
At the back of 501 jeans original was 2 x near in horse foot was small letter 👍👍👍!!! but if 2 x is in above the horse and if big letter x it was a fake...!!!
I think your reviews is not perfect..the main back level for the original should from leather not from thick paper and the drawing man and he's horse painted well.. And u must know the original levis have first gred and second gred and so on..but for the fake levis is not from levis company at all..gain ur knowledge first before start to review something, the main back level for second or third gred for levis(from levis company)usually made from thick paper same as for the fake levis..i think u doesnt know how to compare.
The real leather patch was replaced with a high grade bonded fiber around 1950.
This was because real leather shrunk and then cracked when the jeans were hot washed or boiled.
You occasionally see how the patch shrunk on the back pocket of vintage Wranglers.
@@wilsjane nooo.. levis have 3 grade, grade one with black patch, grade 2 with leather patch and embossed logo, grade 3 with sinthetic leather/thin paper with printed logo
I’m laughing due to picket stitching flaws on the inside of mine supposedly as far as I seen wrong with them. I then seen the score. Levi’s for $22. Shit they clean AS HELL
Pero la cremallera no es de 501.Original!!!Gracias..
Zipper is from 505 and it has been included as and additional elements for all levi's jeans authentication. It has been explained in the pinned comment
@@VoiceOfPeopleToday OK men👌
My only definitive word is robust, like the jeans are made with coffee beans
The 501 is all button not zipper...correct the top button in engrave with mark...And the patch is correct in the video because i have 2 levi's 501 i bought 2 yrs ago in the USA.love from the philippines...🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
I remember in the early 80’s, Levi's twisted bell bottom... I thought there was something wrong with the sewing machine.
All 501 jeans were button fly.. the one you been representing is 505 variant
Indeed. We have pinned the comment with this info. Here you have another video ruclips.net/video/skvv6GIzWyE/видео.html
My only advice go to authorize retailers or Levi's store. Is they're selling to cheap is a red flag. Cheap=expensive
How many of you are checking your jeans right now😅
Old style vs new style is what it should say in the title.
They are all fake nowadays
Wow I like lives jeans
На Lewi’s 501 не может быть молнии , должны быть пуговицы!
the original Levi's 501 is always button fly not zip fly.
You are right. That is explained in the pinned comment and the zipper component is included to try and generalize it for all Lev's jeans.
Mustafa Saib try wrangler 0047MWZ Rigid. Old school, similar to 505, but different. 14,75 oz.
This is valid in the USA but not everywhere abroad. Here in Brazil a Levis 501 normally costs more than 100USD.
No more made in USA ALL ARE LOCAL MADE IN ASIAN COUNTRIES
