- Prepping a dbl deep that needs reduced for winter..it's still really strong and healthy! I also share some thoughts on screened bottom boards and emergency feeding! Thanks for Watching!!!
Awe man! Just missed the premiere!
very nice video. Hi friend
Thanks so much!
Looking good John!!! During my OA treatments I found a hive almost starved out and had to reduce it to a 5 frame nuc. I added a frame with honey and pollen. They immediately covered the honey for nourishment. Caught them just in time! Thanks!!
I'm trying to almost completely backfill today..last syrup I'm running behind
Super cool. Thank you. I never thought about a hive molding before.
Hey Voon hope you had a good Thanksgiving, have an Awesome Day!!!
@@badassbees3680 Awe thank you! I hope you guys did too!❤
Emergency feeding for emergencies. Yep, agreed. Then there’s the “I just do it for insurance”. Nope 👎🏼. Insurance is learning what the boxes should weigh and get them there before the winter. That’s insurance. We all goof it up or mid-judge now and again, and we all of a sudden have a light hive, but it sure shouldn’t be the norm.....
Totally Agree!!!
The 5th showing our 1st freeze 🥶 Our stores are running out of things. Like caulk, spray paint, paints, tools, screws, nails and so on. The food rows and meats are low as well, But there plenty of Christmas Junk out. He heee here its is Oct.
Yeah same bs here.Stay strong Bro and plan ahead
@@badassbees3680 Thanks bro ~ but i'am not playing there silly games! I've bought every thing i needed years ago. Only good thing i see in the stores! is turkeys and hams are out, priced a little high. but cheaper than all the other meats. GL to you and yours Be safe ~ Gods Well
@@badassbees3680 i did a experiment on my bees! See just how good these SHB oil traps works. ALL i did the last 2 yrs was check the pans of oil, make sure there wasn't to much wax capping in the pan, and make sure there oil isn't dried up with the capping. Plus make sure they had Plenty of fresh clean water. The bees learn to eat the honey, to make room to grow. Another thing they learn NOT TO SWARM, They control that to! Next spring the test going to be over, and start working them! I know its going to be a mess. he hee I will split them to! cause i know there way over populated. By watch them fly in waves into the hive late in the evenings. There so many bees flying in, CRAZY amounts. I was going to harvest the honey. in Sept. but it to late. They would kill each other out, from robbing. They learn to SURVIVE! WITH OUT MANS HELP almost he hee ~ i did checked and put an oil trap on them😉👍
Made 2 boxes with a side cut like what you buy...if I make another I'll try with the outside holds.
I made sure they were full of food luckily before non stop rain then colder temps.
Only have one with the solid bottom board and haven't heard anyone say about it needs to be dry in the spring 🤔
Want to try to get away from the screened ones because it sucks trying to seal it for the winter but it's great for the hot summers 🤔
Bad arse👍
Nobody has talked about it but it's true...next season it's on for Baddest Bees! Thanks Brother!
Bought 4 deep boxes and 100 frames today....get ready I’m bout to be buzzing around here constantly
Feed the snot outta em until you got your combs drawn. Feed anytime your broodnest don't have any food in corners on at least a couple Frames of brood...if you want to grow bees don't be scared to Feed their liver is a sugar processing plant
@@badassbees3680 my first bees I ordered today be here in March.
👍👍💖💖
Thanks Wendy!!
Would hives definitely be more moisture prone in snow affected areas. It must be getting close to winter if Baddest Bees is wearing a jumper🍺🍺
Yes I would think so..this is really not a good place for a bee yard..it's at the bottom of a quarter mile hill/Ozark mtn so alot of water drains and then the cold air whooshes down and then moisture hangs out in the bottom, terrible place actually but all I have for now, but it's fixing to get a lot better,Baddest Bees gonna blow up next season should be best season to watch I think 👍
I just moved 5 hives, and have 25 gallons of corn syrup left over for Spring buildup.
Wish I had corn syrup..guy said $600 a barrel once...I got a plan just don't want to let it outta the bag on the syrup!
@@badassbees3680 There is a big food manufacturer near here that gives it away to the bee club. I got like 100 gallons.
Sweet
wish I could reduce some of mine. I think I am going to have to put some sugar cakes on some to get them to make it to jan.
Get you some corn syrup..I seen a bear here yesterday..about 550 lbs!!!
@@badassbees3680 make a honey burner and put that bear in the freezer. Get some great boot grease too
How many times did you get stung during this inspection?
Zero,just getting close
👍🍀🌏🇲🇨👌
Thanks !!!🤜🤛
