Another visual tip for the steam pressure - when you see the hot water/steam light stop blinking is another good indicator that it's ready. I usually purge the excess water/warm it up until i see the light, then turn it off and immediately place my milk jug under and turn it back on. The "tuk tuk" noise starts right away and the light is (usually) steady - which means it's ready to go

Do you steam the milk then pull the shot… or the other way around?
Shot first then milk.
Because of how slow the machine needs to get back up to brewing, the milk would've separated if we did the milk first.
