Looks like some improvements like removable cups, more swivel and hopefully more comfortable than the original a10, the gen 1 seems comfortable, but they squeeze your head too hard and I have to take them off every 10 minutes.
@@grimreefer213the A10 Gen 1 are an incredible headset for the price. Amazing mic and built extremely well. I'm trying to stick with Astro because of them, after having awful experiences with SteelSeries, Turtle Beach and Hyper X. Seems there are a few drawbacks with the Gen 2, though. The sound being less bassy, the mic sounded a little different and still the same on-ear form. The Gen 1 were insanely uncomfortable for a while. I've got used to them now, but had to put some padding on the headband as the padding there is pathetic (it literally started to almost cut my head open). The clamp force was strong but loosened over time. The sound of the Gen 1's I would describe as very muddy, too. Gen 2's just look to be way more comfier and if the sound is clearer and still has bass, then I'll probably pick them up. Or more expensive Astro's.

Hi! I found them to be a lot better than the Logitech G335 but I can't say much for the Turtle Beach ones as I've not tried them out 😊 Hope you find a pair that suits you 👍
I have both. Not these new ones but the comfortability and headband of the Logitech g335 is amazing. However I believe the mic on Astros is better and probably the audio but I liked both.
Logitech says that not only ear pads but also the headband of this headset can be replaced. I wonder how you can take the sponge off, for I can not see any detachable structures on the band. Many other gaming headset haven't taken this feature into consideration, nearly all of their bands, which often covered in pleather, are not durable enough for long-time using.
If used with PS4, I know I can hear party chat with friends, but can I also hear the game audio? I have another headset, but only party chat audio comes through and only comes through one ear.
Hi! I've tried it with the PS4 and unfortunately I also only get part chat audio through one ear. I think you can also hear game audio too but again it only comes through the one ear. I've not found a fix for this yet.
Hi! I'm connected to the Xbox Series X in the video with the cable provided plugged into the base of the controller 👍 This goes for any of the variants, I'm using the PS5 version with the Xbox and it works fine 👍
I wonder what its like for people with bigger heads I just had to return a pair of Logitech G435's due to the sizing and not being able to wear them for more than 5 mins

When I plug these into my PC using the Y splitter, playing Fortnite sounds pretty quiet. My PC settings are at 100%. Anyone have any ideas as to why it sounds so quiet and any fixes?
Hi! I found the same problem, I'm not 100% sure how to fix it on PC but I know on the Xbox I was able to go into the headphone audio on the controller settings and bring up the volume. The only way I found boosting the audio on PC was using the PC volume controls and the volume wheel on the connection wire. I hope there's a solution to this soon though.
I know it's 7 months late but you need the mixer amp to get the sound to come out better. Pretty dumb tbh.. Im returning my astro a10s I just bought yesterday. Just too low in volume.
It is fully extended, but this is often the case with all headsets I try so maybe I have a large head 😂 But it's not uncomfortable in any way, doesn't feel like it's straining or adding any additional pressure 👍
@@BoxCoUk These remind me of the Logitech g435 except a bit better build. I don't think you have a big head. I have an egg head shape so those wide headset don't do any good because they don't extend downwards. I enjoyed your review👍
I watched another review of this headset and the mic test sounded very low. The reviewer even said that his team mates could barely hear him. But here the mic sounds perfect.
Hmm 🤔 I didn't have much trouble with the mic, the audio was recorded directly from the headset through a PC. I haven't had much trouble with online chats myself so far, my friends seem to hear me fine as far as I know 😂👍

You should be able to use any aux cable that fits 👍

the only problem i have with this headset is the wire is black which throws off the look a tad bit, other than that it’s not so bad

Bought them. Heard them. Placed back in the box to give away. I found them uncomfortable and just too bland in sound...
